Holiday Inn Leiden Review

It is a child-friendly hotel and the food is very good for a hotel. The rooms were noisy but otherwise expected and clean. The person is friendly and helpful.

Superb hotel with swimming pool and tasty breakfast

Air conditioning defective or very poor.
TV interferes on every net.
A 60 cent box of Pringles costs 5 euros in the mini bar ..... And that in 2018
Products from minibar that are way overpriced expired!
Room not equally clean everywhere.
Parking overnight for 5 euros.
Outdated room.
Renting a film for 24 hours costs 11.99 ....

Lobster festival staff nice and polite but certainly not somewhat professional. (Asking if the table can be emptied, empty plates and glasses are not just taken away, all of the above .... Nope, no more.

Friendly and welcoming staff. And well-kept toilets.

Rooms with no windows to the outside, no interruptions of artificial light and poor ventilation ...
But there is ping-pong, table football, billiards and board games, and free bikes.

Nice amenities including gym, good food, bad wifi connection, comfortable rooms

Great family hotel! Small children are welcome here, and the swimming pool and current buffet on Friday and Saturday is a real draw for slightly older children. If you come for a rest, this is a less pleasant hotel, the screams of the children echoing quite a bit in the big room. They also have a good (hot) sauna

Nice place to stay during a conference there. Of course you have to dine there or have a lunch. There is a great Buffet.

A very good hotel. Swimming pool is adequate and good long at (22 o'clock) room very well maintained and relatively new. Food and drink are also very sufficient and in good quality.

Noisy indoor room: Waking up to the sound of children playing is not good.
Missing smoking area.
Swimming pool is great, too bad the sauna was fully booked, because in retrospect it was empty.
Staff at breakfast and dinner provide the 2nd star.
Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the credit card to be refunded, where I think too much has been charged .... no overview of the stay was received, so it is difficult for a declaration anyway.

Good hotel, facilities are pretty good. Location is within walking distance from Leiden but it's a bit far. Breakfast was a bit strange but ok considering its included.

Spent New Year's Eve, the buffet dinner was excellent. The party with live band was very enjoyable.

Neat accessible room for disabled, very good food. Top service! Easy to use with a mobility scooter, except for a few doors (this is what people are going to do about it).

Simple hotel. A small swimming pool and play area for the children. For people who want to have a drink in the bar that only opens at 5:00 pm many people see them walking away disappointed.

Conference hotel on the outskirts of Leiden with good conference facilities and good accessibility near the motorway. Business lunch buffet, as you often find in these types of locations, is hardly surprising.

Nice room, with small but unimportant quirks. There is not much to see around, you have to see at least two kilometers to the city center. The negative was the rather expensive dinner buffet, the OK but did not ask the expected enjoyment.

Average, if that: motel type accommodation, with a crowded pool, no recognition for an IHG status at all and ridiculous 17.5 a night for a dog. A free charger with a 3kW EU household type socket is a plus though.

Rooms are bit dated, but clean. A real family hotel with an indoor pool. Breakfast is fine, close to city center and roads

Nice for families, very very excellent buffet. Really worth the money. The kids loved it. Staff is damn freindly. Rooms are excellent. Working air-conditioned room. You can connect your device to the TV. Really this is the best hotel I've been in many years.

The place is outdated and the executive rooms are simply ok. Buffet for breakfast and dinner, both ok.

Great for a night or 2 with kids. Swimming pool and small indoor playground complete the party for the kids. Breakfast buffet is quite extensive. Foreign guests, each with their own morning / eating rituals, also make use of this hotel.

Everything is festively decorated, you are immediately in a good mood when you arrive!

Above average service, good facilities on site and pleasant ambience but the executive rooms are too plain!

The red wine with the New Year's reception of the FVD was really impossible.

Hotel very nice, room all present but small. We had to go home early because my daughter-in-law had an emergency choice 5 weeks early and we had to pay almost everything except the parking costs. Even the breakfast which we did not have.

Been two nights with 2 of our grandsons. Had a great time. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful. Very friendly staff. I would recommend it, there are always points of attention. But that is everywhere.

Located close to the highway. The bus also stops across the street. Hotel looks neat and clean. And the staff is very friendly. There are also enough parking options.

Great location to attend an event. The rooms of different sizes made multiple setups possible. The halls were all close together, which did not make it easier from one room to the other.

Great family get together meals with fun for kids..safe for younger ones

I stayed here during a business trip. Had to book a double bed room which - in hindsight - was good because one of the beds had sand in the sheets. The bathroom light is controlled via motion sensor. While being in the shower the light turned off because the shower curtain blocks your movement from the sensor. Like other guests I also had problems with the gate to the parking lot.
The breakfast is very good, a lot of different options: salads, fruits, cereal, bread and buns, eggs, bacon, beans, even rice and a thai dish.
The ladies at the reception are very helpful and friendly.

Beatiful room and hotel. Location is okay with 20 minutes walking distance to the center of Leiden. You have a big choice of foods for breakfast and the personnel is nice and helpful.

The hotel itself is conveniently located and if you have children it can certainly offer a solution (although there is less for children than you would expect).
The entrance, reception, corridors, all public areas are clean, but I think the rooms are a bit dated. Especially the bathrooms. That is outdated and you can see that it has been repaired everywhere.

The breakfast is quite extensive and the service very friendly.

When booking, there are very fine print (if you are with children), that the price is still around 30 euros per night more expensive.
When calling the helpdesk this is acknowledged, but they say they cannot do anything about it because that is not possible to arrange on their website (I say BS!)

The 2 stars I have given have to do with this, otherwise I would definitely have given a 3

Brunch but thought it was very disappointing with Christmas Day atmosphere there was no dressing of tables seemed terrible and thats for so much money

Is very disappointing. Inexperienced staff with poor management who cannot create a line.

Food is standard. Hotel rooms are fine in themselves.

Good breakfast and good food in the restaurant. Two play rooms for the kids. Bad smell in the room, smells like sewage. Turbid water in the pool, very much chlorine.

Excellent hotel. Very good breakfast with amazing coffee.
