Great hotel with a very interesting restaurant/lobby area!

Nice hotel, complicated to get there due to very strange approach route. Inside cold and businesslike, no nice bar and old interior. From the parking lot you have to climb two flights of stairs to reach the reception. I think it's time for a new hotel and to get it from the Holiday Inn chain.

Good hotel and great rooms. Right next to the Expo so very handy for an event.

Hotel close to the motorway and shopping centers away from the beautiful old town. Well equipped rooms. Friendly staff and rich breakfast.

Very tired holiday inn. Rooms need a refurb. Free WiFi, multiple PowerPoints no usb charger. No bathtub. Location is 15/20 min drive from the city centre. Very handy for motorway.

Hotel already visited several times. Every time it was ok.

When it rains you need life vests or a raft. To see entrance to the hotel and exit parking. Otherwise, the hotel is recommended. Staff very friendly. Breakfast a bit weaker than other Holiday Inn. Executive room has almost 50 sqm.

Spacious room, great bed, but bathroom needs some attention. Showering in the bath is no longer of this time and a shower curtain is certainly not.
Remains that we slept wonderfully and also the location near the tram is ideal. You are in the city quickly.

The maids came home while we were sleeping. unhurriedly

Good hotel, clean and comfortable. In the room however there was a constant air sound of the ventilation that was a bit annoying.

The tram is also close and easy to use. The drawback is that there are few outlets in the room. At least, in the room I stayed, there was one for the desk light, one for the stand light, and one for the washroom (there are two washrooms, but one does not work) If so, I think it would be better to prepare from what

Normal The site is very large but it is in an industrial estate. There is no parking, or you pay or they send you to Ikea. The restaurant is quite expensive.

Nice and clean hotel, good bed and bathtub and shower. Great breakfast buffet. Nothing real fancy, just fine. Also has very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was ok, although its a bit dated. Room lights was controlled by a main switch, not individually.. the day we arrived, we switch off the light from bed before sleep & the next morning we realized that the power socket was not functioning as well... All power banks & mobile phone were not charged
However, the staff are nice.

I honestly am surprised that this hotel is an IHG one because it definitely isn't up to the standards and is in dire need of repairs and maintenance:
1) The phone in our room didn't work (I told them about it 5 separate times and though I saw that they noted it nothing was done. I told them about it right after we checked it on Friday then again late that might then Saturday early morning then again before I headed out that day. When I spoke to a manager on Saturday evening, she apologized and said that it couldn't be fixed before my departure as I was leaving on Monday and it was now the weekend break).
2) one of the flush buttons in the bathroom didn't work
3) I'd booked a room for 2 yet all the amenities (including towels, water and toiletries) were set for 1. I requested that be fixed for the next morning since it was late yet the next evening we only got p extra set of towels.
4) There was no large towel -body towel - in the restroom when we checked in.
5) There are no spare electrical outlets in the room; the 2 in the room had a lamp plugged into each of them.

The rooms were old fashioned and the bathrooms were dirty. The TV kept freezing?! It has easy access to a tram though.

Good hotel for a city break and for business travelers

Outwardly, the hotel does not look very good, it is clear that the building is old, the repairs inside have not been done for a long time either (although in good condition), but the bedding and pillows were new, the staff were polite, the breakfasts were good.

Large hotel with a good restaurant and extensive breakfast buffet. Some dated rooms but friendly staff!

Price/value is decent. Make sure not to park on their premises but on the P+R which is literally a 5 minute walk and free. The hotel charges 10 euros per night for parking. Tram connection to centre is close and runs until 11PM.

Holiday Inn Ghent Expo is an ideal location for business meetings. Easily accessible by tram, beautiful halls and very well-organized catering (breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch).

A bit of an outdated hotel. Very friendly staff. I only come to work so I have no idea about the rooms, but the meeting rooms are completely outdated.

Great hotel if you are happy travelling in to Ghent which is approx. 15 min tram ride.

Great hotel with friendly service. Location is easy to drive to and is close to the center of Ghent. It is best to reach this via the bus stop next to the hotel. Facilities are excellent and the wifi connection is very fast. I ate eh restaurant vh hotel and the food was very tasty. Really recommended.

Very friendly waiter in the bar. But ... barrier at the entrance of the parking does not work. Calling the operator: no answer. The room is dirty. Insulation dropped to the ground, seat with dirty stains. Breakfast: rudely rejected by the staff because I was sitting at the wrong table: "I just prepared it for lunch", while there is no indication of which tables can be used. No more scrambled eggs? A quick question to the staff, who, indeed not very friendly, says that scrambled eggs will be replenished, after which they cheerfully clear up further. Waited 15min for scrambled eggs, along with some other hotel guests, but not seen scrambled eggs. Price? Eur 188 for 1 night with breakfast. Too bad: well located and nice infrastructure.

Was told when we checked in that the bar would be open if enough people required the service, arrived back just before midnight, probably 20 people in the bar, but was told it was closed!!!

Everything was fine until I looked under the bed to pick up my phone, which escaped my hands! At 1cm from the edge is a cotton swab and a used condom, nah but serious the cleaning is around but also under the bed !!!

The hotel is very outdated. The rooms are not practically furnished. There are no sockets next to the beds. The hairdryer is in a slider in the room and not in the bathroom. This was also defective. Attention: The restaurant is fully booked at trade fairs and without reservation there is no food. The only small plus are the beds, these are comfortable. If you have the choice to choose another hotel, I would still recommend this.

Lovely hotel. However, one of the morning staff was quite rude. We lost our cap near the reception, but she didn't allow us to look into lost and found. She was totally busy on her phone and didnt help us at all.

Friendly staff, breakfast was fine: extensive choice. Just 1 thing is a pity: bought two bottles of water in the shop on Friday evening, mine was already used up, his maxime was still full and Saturday morning was put in the fridge, and they took a bottle from the fridge so 2.50 euros in the garbage can, in the fridge there was a plaque with on it: when you buy a bottle in the shop you could put it in the fridge. Today when checking out that incident reported and free bottle can take out

Clean, crisp, modern, the breakfast was good. The staff was friendly, enough parking space (paid parking).

Good size rooms, 200 m from the tram number 1. House keeping was a bit erratic.

It is a good hotel. It is not new but the warm price ratio exceeded my expectations. It is outside the historic center but with the tram in 20 min you are in the center. Breakfast is great if you can book with breakfast you will not regret it.

A good hotel but located a bit off the town gent but there are trams from there.

Service was pretty nice, Breakfast tastend good, rooms were Clean and You could relax in the beds.

Spacious room, bathroom somewhat dated, bath with plastic shower curtain. At the shower this sticks to your back and I don't like that. The breakfast is delicious. The full package. Assorted breads and pastries cold meats and cheeses, cereals, bacon and eggs, fresh fruit salad, you can bake pancakes and waffles and everything is refilled until the end. Reception staff is very friendly and help you out with a smile.

Value for money. Close to the tram. Far away from the city Centre

It is located next to highway with only IKEA as a neighbor. Hotel is dated and rooms need some up keep. Staff is very nice and helpful. They do have a bar and restaurant.

Sound infrastructure, which looks a bit dated in terms of design. Catering ok, poor wifi: not secured and not reliable.

the staff is stealing things during cleaning. nothing was done to find and return stolen victorinox. the answer from manager just general words.

Very high price, every extra like breakfast and parking needs to be paid.
Staff are okay but building, rooms and facilities are very bad and none existing. In the evening there is nothing to do.

Reception desk could be faster, especially for groups, no power socket near the bed, so phone alarm is a bit difficult from across the room. Positioned very good if you need to visit the tech campus or sorrounding. The breakfast room is awesome!

If you are lucky, you can park in front of the reception. Excellent breakfast

A nice hotel near the expo. It is only a min walk fron the expo so a nice place to stay if you have any occasion in expo. Tram station is 5 min away. These trams will take you the the town centre and frequency is quite good. Rly staion in 15 mins by taxi ( costs around 20-25 ). Similarly taxi from the town centre will take the same amount.

Rooms are cozy and calm. Breakfast is good with lots of available option. Staffs are courteous and speak good english. All cards are accepted. Aroun 3 extra city tax will imposed like all other places.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast and conveniently located right beside the tram line with brings you directly into Ghent.

Quiet and cozy. Excellent for meetings, overnight stays, ... The catering was less, since the sandwiches and cheese balls were finished, the waiter on duty promised to refill it soon, but after an hour and a half these were still not replenished ..

Nice hotel, easily located next to the expo. Spacious breakfast buffet, lots of choice, but the orange juice can be fresh. Rooms clean and tidy, spacious with a desk to work and a seat. Friendly staff.

Great room. Exquisite room service, but would ve liked to be informed beforehand about the penguin in the lobby. Overall nice experience.

Rooms are not the newest, but the TV is ok. Very friendly staff.
