Holiday Inn/Crowne Plaza Amsterdam Area Review

Extremely professional and accommodating staff! Made a last minute reservation 2 hours prior to arriving at the hotel and the room was immediately ready when we got there. The staff even called our room an hour after we checked in to make sure we were settling in ok and to check if we needed anything.

Outside on the downstairs patio they have an array of patio furniture so you can enjoy your coffee in the beautiful weather (when it s not raining). Because it rains so much here they have to bring the cushions for all the furniture inside when it rains but the staff always took notice when I went out to the patio and would immediately bring me a seat cushion for the chair I would be sitting in. Very impressive.

WiFi is easy to connect to with no complicated setup and has good coverage in all areas of the hotel.

If you are an IHG Rewards member (you can sign up for free to become a member when you check in) you can enjoy a free late checkout at 2 pm. The late checkout is a godsend if you are taking an afternoon train or flight so you are not having to worry about checking out at 11 or 12 and worry about lugging luggage everywhere.

The tv even has a personalized message greeting you when you enter the room. Overall EXTREMELY satisfied with my stay. Great accommodations, spacious rooms, and staff is extremely professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Amsterdam and even though it is a bit outside the Centrum, the metro line is a 2 minute walk away and a 15 minute ride to Centraal Station!

Good value for money, nice breakfast and rooms. Reception service is a bit slow. Parking at eur60 per night is a rip off, but they have a reduced rate during weekends

It's not bad, I find with all Large hotel chains they all kind of look the same. Comfy and easy to sort for work but wouldn't be my choice for personal adventures.

Very courteous and friendly staff. Nice rooms. Hotel with everything that belongs to this star number. Breakfast with a lot of choice. Omelette prepared as desired. Unfortunately, only the rolls are rock-hard and the scrambled eggs are more of a pile of conched eggs with lots of water. Restaurant and bar not used, but was well filled during the week and feels cozy. Transport links to the city center are very good, tram 5 or metro 51. Unfortunately, no description of this was found on the website. Not much going on in the area on weekends because of the business district. But it was just right for us after the lively city.
Would book the hotel again!

Rooms are modern and spotless, 5 minutes from Amsterdam Zuid for train from the airport and tram to the city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, the rooms was really good and the staff were really friendly. It's also locales near public transport.

The reception was friendly, and the club lounge seemed promising the first evening. The next day the problems became apparent. More than 30 minutes to get an egg dish in the club lounge and dirty plates everywhere. When we returned in the evening the next day, our room was full of mosquitos - room cleaning had left the window open. In addition, the key cards did not work properly on several occasions. Management apologized, but all in all I think we lost more than two hours waiting for various problems to be solved. My impression is that the hotel is understaffed and the staff is very inexperienced. A pity, because the hotel has potential, especially as a business hotel.

I wish I had a good thing to say but it's hard. I will say that the hotel was very clean and tidy and the cleaning staff were very accommodating. The hotel is also close to the station which takes you right into Amsterdam central. Other than that I'm afraid it was a shambles. The reception staff seemed to be clueless and could not answer a single question/query. They took payment twice for the same thing and were "unaware" that it had happened. Would not return.

A top hotel with excellent service and employees who attach great importance to hospitality.
I got lost through the lobby and this was immediately recognized by a lady. I was taken to the bar / coffee place. Here too I was welcomed with a smile.

We spent one night in Crowne Plaza South while visiting Amsterdam.
The location is very quiet and is quite easy to get to.
The staff is very professional and knowledgeable, ladies at the reception were very helpful.
The room itself is very clean and has got all the necessary things you need for a good stay. Besides toiletries are of a good quality.
We forgot our toothbrushes at home, I called the reception and we got some new ones in 4 minutes.
Breakfast is very nice and sufficient to keep you going a good half a day.
They serve different types of fish for breakfast, which made my day, as I love fish! Salmon was delicious.
It s worth every pound spent for your stay.
Totally recommended!

It was my first time using hotel service but I don't regret choosing this place. The room is great, location is 5 minutes far from metro and train station and most importantly the staff is super nice. Would use this hotel again!

A great hotel. Room well furnished great marriage bed. The room has everything you need to spend the night. Equipped with a bathroom with a bathtub, plenty of hygiene cosmetics. The room also has an iron with an ironing board. Breakfast also at the highest level. 200 - 300 meters from the hotel is to the subway and the train.
