Holiday Inn Cleveland Airport Review

Look at the owner s responses to people s bad reviews!!! You honestly don t even need to look at the reviews because you can see the character of this person by his responses. He blames the customers for their bad experience. Never stay here, this owner will not tell you about all of the charges intentionally until you look in your bank account. Then he will blame you and say you should have read fine print or seen a small sign in the lobby. I ll be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau as well.

Update - I started staying at a different Holiday Inn for the same price in Medina. Brand New with all amenities and they listen to there's customers about sausage gravy. This location lost my business.

Some good and some not so good. Older building that has some time on it with upgrades. Staff is rough. Not the standards I have come to expect from Holiday Inn.

As usual the Holiday lnn Express was a very nice and clean and comfortable place to stay. Located just a few miles from the fairgrounds it made it very convenient to conduct business and then dine out and shop at local stores. I will continue my practice of staying at Expresses for business trips.

Stayed here April 2 through April 5, 2014. Best experience ever in a hotel... looking at cleanliness, courtesy of staff, clean pool area and exercise room. And the room was so quiet. The hot breakfast was the best ever. I have trouble with sweets and cereals in the morning, but this offered eggs everyday and a choice of bacon one day and sausage the next. The coffee was great. Fresh yogurt and fruit. A fun 'pancake machine' which the kids loved. And always a basket of apples by the front desk for anytime snacking. For just a few dollars more this is SO worth it for a good nights sleep in a clean, comfortable room! For the record, I stayed April 1st at the Best Western Airport across the street and felt sick from the cigarette smell in my 'non smoking' room. The Holiday Inn Express doesn't allow smoking in the building at all. You can tell the difference when you walk in, trust me.

Excellent breakfast, something for everyone. Rooms were clean did not need to call for anything. Check in service were okay. They need to work on making you feel welcomed.

This was a great place to crash for the night. It is located right off the highway and was easy to find. The common areas are clean and well-maintained. Our room was quite nice. It had an attractively high ceiling and was surprisingly nicely decorated. Everything appeared spotless and very well maintained. We had all of the normal hotel room amenities plus a microwave and mini fridge. The price was average for the area and included a full breakfast, including pancakes made in 1 minute by a little steamroller machine! The bed was fine, although a little firmer than I prefer. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Clean. The property is in great condition. The rooms are perfectly kept. Our room was quiet and a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this place!

First room has horrible smell, got moved and next room was better

Very clean room and very friendly staff, but the best thing was the free breakfast service, considering we were there during the pandemic and other places canceled breakfast all together, this place actually had us choose from a mini breakfast menu, and we received 4 breakfast bags consisting of a full breakfast (english muffin breakfast sandwich, yogurt, fruits, juice, muffin...) it was a great experience! Awesome service!

Easy check-in. Comfortable rooms and bed. Nice complimentary breakfast. Fast check-out. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel and the room was awesome. The employees at the front were very helpful. Was stuck here due to the storm and I would definitely stay at this location again.

Great experience...a few of us came down for a event in town an stayed in the Holiday Inn express. The service was excellent as was the room. Overall a great stay.

The hotel is very VERY outdated. I would have left excepted I arrived after 10:00 p.m. I gave it a 2 because the staff is very friendly.

They are very rude when we arrived in the evening!! Wouldn't honor the online price we had. Don't think we will ever go to them again!

Nice newer hotel, but close to nothing but airport. Shuttle doesn't start running until 5am.

Great service & friendly staff. Super-clean rooms. Very limited walking distance restaurants, but Kickers pizza delivers great pizza, subs, and more.

Nice staff. Decent rate given the last minute nature of my booking it. Room was clean and the channel selection was great. Only negative is that the bed was more firm than I prefer, so I didn't sleep well. However, YMMV.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, including shuttle service to the airport. Convenient kiosk in lobby to print boarding passes. Towels well stocked in pool area. Easy walk to Bob Evans next door and a very nice neighborhood to take an evening walk.

Location was hard to get to but the accommodations are great and the staff was pleasant!

Beautiful rooms for a really low price. The service was great the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The stay an the people that work there were amazing only problem we had was the pillows were not fluffy which made it hard to sleep but I still would rate them a 5 star hotel.....thank you guys be back soon

My experience at this hotel was pretty good. For the most part the room was in great condition and very clean. The staff was great and the breakfast food was surprisingly good. They offer a free shuttle to the airport which makes this a great place to stay when visiting via the airport. I plan to stay here next time I need a Cleveland airport hotel.

Excellent Hotel, Friendly Staff Clean rooms reasonable priced

The room was clean. No bed bugs. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The front desk person was very nice and polite. The Fourier was nice and clean. The grass was mowed and Landscaping look good. No debris or Garbage floating around in the parking lot. At night all of the parking lot lights worked as they should. It was a pleasant stay and the prices were competitive

Waited a while for Airport shuttle, but the rest was good.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and attentive and we were able to relax with some piece and quiet.

The hotel upgrades are complete and the construction is a big improvement from what I remember for past stays. I look forward to staying on the new 3rd floor.

We made a reservation with our reward points and when we got there that night they had cancelled our reservation. They said that Tom had cancelled the reservation but he didn't even know where we were staying because I made the reservations. I also found out that they did the same thing to someone that had booked 9 room on the Saturday before this happened to us. They lied about all of this and then had the manager call and say when Tom cancelled it. Why would he cancel the reservation when we were coming to Cleveland for a Dr appointment in the morning and if he cancelled why would we have showed up for our room. This place is very poorly managed. I would NEVER recommend to stay here. I would like Thank the rewards center for helping us find a room on VERY short notice, that was a much nicer hotel. the staff at the hotel where we stayed was very helpful and friendly unlike this hotel!! Decent little hotel near the airport... Nothing fancy but clean and good

This place is great and close to the airport. The staff was helpful and friendly when we asked them questions. The room was clean and it came with bath and body works soap which is always nice to take with you.

We stayed overnight with my son and they were very accommodating. I forgot his toothbrush and a shower cap for myself and they provided both. The room was clean and kept cool on a hot sticky day.

Very nice staff always . Checking inn is always fast . Rooms are always nice . Only negative thing to say is I'm always put right in front of elevator even though I request not to be .

The front desk was rude and difficult. The facilities were nice enough, but the attitude of the staff paired with being overcharged and the noise level make this a "never again" experience for us and the Holiday Inn brand.

Room was alright and Clean. HVAC was terrible. Had the temperature set to 65 and it was still warm in the room. It was colder in the hallway than the room could get.

This Holiday Inn Express was on the same level as other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed it. Clean, quiet, good breakfast, great water pressure!

Horrible customer service!! I will NEVER stay or recommend Holiday Inn Express ever again! Front desk employee was so rude!!! They are not offering breakfast due to covid and there were zero options for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich. When we asked for a sandwich without meat we were told no... it's not possible because they are premade. So we paid for 2 meals (included with room rental) we couldn't even eat! A banana and a juice is hardly a meal!!! Never received the extra towels I requested. And not to mention the $200 hold on my card that I was unaware of until check in!!! ! Took 5 days to get my money back! Beware before staying here!! Hotel was clean (enough) but the beds weren't comfortable. Also the pool is not open. None of this was mentioned in the site. Never again.

Enjoyed the stay! The room was great and the staff very courteous. Very nice hotel.

Room was very clean and inviting. They offered many amenities and the breakfast was fresh and hot with a large variety of food. Something for everyone. Also the staff was nice and accommodating. My only complaint is there are no elevators a one end of building and it's a far walk for the elderly. But I would definitely stay again.

Great service, young lady a lil slow getting all the food out, however...I wasn't affected.

What you would expect from the Holiday Inn Express nice and clean the decent breakfast for free in the morning clean rooms and friendly staff and they even give a late check-out

Not sure why anyone would choose this look for a hotel, but dang. Hard on the eyes and the front desk service could have been much better as well. I've had far better stays at other holiday inns. This one did not live up to the standard that I have come to expect.
