Xero does not work well for businesses that have inventory or sell physical products.
Pretty good. Needs a slide for 5 stars. TradeMe has a slide.
The receptionist needs training in greeting people and being friendly.

Awesome offices with a very cool fitout including a coffee bar, table tennis, pool board, darts, quiet zones and literally anything else you would want. Great vibe... Oh, and the software is good too.

For context, I am a single employee of my own S-Corp in the U.S. I use Xero for accounting/bookkeeping. Xero is overall, "satisfactory." It has a robust feature set that is quite comprehensive in comparison to it's competition.
PROs:
Easy setup
Mobile Application
Robust "how to" videos
Payroll support in some U.S. States
CPA Access
CONs:
Not all banks have direct feeds. Many use a 3rd party integration.
Unwillingness of support to adhere to expectations for communications.
I really do support Xero, and, enthusiastically say "Five Stars!" when things are functioning properly. I can't say the same when an issue arises and the customer is left in the dark due to lack of communications.
The accounting system may be good but trying to talk to a human is impossible and getting answers on line is equally impossible. Sooo frustrated I want to cancel my subscription.

LACK OF LIVE SUPPORT!! I am trying to contact a person to get my locked account activated, I have entered sufficient payment details, however I cannot get a response?? I have sent a notification through online support. You guys need to provide a live person to chat to so that we can discuss our issues real time with someone. Automated online help is okay for standard issues, but its better to have a person for issues that can't be resolved through the online system!!
lack of phone support is ridiculous. currently have an issue where the xero-workflow API link has disconnected. Have hundreds of invoices that cant be sent out on the second to last day of the month. Not even a live chat option.

Terrible software. Terrible support. Support will literally ignore your requests to cancel or downgrade. I have two conflicting support tickets. They outsource their support to India or some other country where people have no clue what they're doing.
Love this software. Has made my bookkeeping easy and fun (aka less painful). Great integration with bank feeds means reconciling accounts is quick and simple, with Xero being able to intuitively pick-up my patterns and guess the coding based on past similar transactions. Highly recommended for small businesses, sole traders, and individuals
