Holiday Inn Canmore Review

I booked a room online, got confirmation and went there.
At checkin I got denied access because I didn t carry the paperwork needed.
When you accept a reservation it should be logical to advise of any paperwork to be filled out before arrival

The room was pretty spacious. The hotel staffs were friendly. It's at a very good location.

Comfortable rooms and bathrooms, nice parking lot and the hot tub is nice but not much of a view. It s just a short drive into town. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Would be nice to see some change in variety for the continental breakfast.

The location is pretty decent. While not being in town center it's a 20 minute walk. Hotel is definitely older but well kept and clean. The walls don't so much for noise blocking so if you have noisy neighbors like us you will definitely hear everything. However the staff was quick to respond after we made a complaint.

It's ok. Beautiful outside inside is plain. My holiday inn in kamloops was cheaper and nicer,more updated.

Stayed here for a wedding. Location was perfect, room was spacious for 2 suitcases and bed was comfortable. Would stay here again. Room comes with a microwave and fridge.

Definitely not worth the price we paid. Yes, it was during the high season and all, but charging near $400 for a less-than-average room did not sound fair at all! The room had bugs, the bathroom door could not be easily closed, the door lock was not working, the fridge was not set at a proper temperature which made all of our fruits rot over a night. Overall, a very disappointing experience ...!

Best start to a holiday. Walked-in, received an upgrade to a king suite room with Jacuzzi tub and an Amazing three sisters morning view! Ask for room #126. You'll thank yourself in the morning!

Stayed here a few times. Convenient location, clean, and hassle free stay.

The room is quite nice. The view of the mountains is terrific from my window. You can hear noise from the hallway which is annoying. Also I don't like the placement of the closet/bathroom. The shower is great. Easy access from the highway. Overall a great place to stay

It was awesome when we checked in the lady at the front desk asked us if it was our first time to canmore. Once we said it was our daughters first time she took back our keys and switched our room from the first floor to the third floor. Once we got to the room she explained to us to open our curtin and look out the window. When we did we noticed she changed our room so we could have one of the best rooms over looking the mountains. The view was breath taking and really made our stay one to remember. Awesome experience great people to make everything memorable

Quite location, just off highway but on opposite side of train tracks that hotels closer to town get to enjoy at 3am...Had nice view even though on 1st floor however windows needed to be cleaned so therefore no picture. View from front of hotel parking lot is good as well. Bed comfy, room clean, other than windows need to be cleaned (outside I believe) no worries. 4.5 / 5

Very nice hotel overall. Excellent staff. Facilities are a little dated, such as the gym and hot tub.

Nice hot tub, great views, a short drive into Canmore with its lovely shops and restaurants

Staff was friendly and professional.
Location was perfect.
Room wasn't very clean. Chips under the bed, scum on the bathtub when I went to bath my baby.
Housekeepers weren't wearing masks, yet they were enforcing masks for guests.

Stayed at different holiday in and received senior discount and other discounts. Called holiday inn Canmore and spoke with customer service and I was told that they honour discounts but that was a lie.. so if you are looking to get any discounts this is not the place or I was given wrong information.

Came in and the manger was very rude. Booked a king suite which apparently had an amazing view. View is horrible. I ll give the place credit where it s due, very clean and comfortable.

Affordable rooms for where it is. Friendly staff. Spectacular views from the room. Even more spectacular views outside. Tons of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area. They have a hot tub and a gym although I didn't get the chance to try them out. Overall I am pleased and will stay here again next time I pass through.

Rustic Holiday Inn, rooms a little dated. Had 4 rooms booked and a little disappointed that no upgrades were offered

Had no issues but wish it was like other holiday inns with breakfast included. Did end up with with a better price than any webpage or hotel webpage just at front desk check-in.

Hotel is nice. But the restaurant is the worst one I ever seen. Services are slow. I had to wait more than 1 hour just to get to order my breakfast. The waitress can't get you what you need. Surprisingly, they don't provide free breakfast with this kind of service.

We often use Holiday Inns when we travel, our 1st choice. We also bring our dog with us when we travel.
On the hotel amenities it says 'pet friendly' . To our disappointment the clerk said that only service dogs were allowed. We were able to leave our pet at our friend's home for the night. This was an awkward request for us.
IHG, do a check on your amenities to ensure they are correct.

Really bad experience. Never have this bad service. Was talking to front desk. But front desk rep move and service the person who is behind of me.
Never forever stay this place again. Rude and no customs service.

Front desk staff was very blunt regarding covid restrictions, the guy almost rude, despite behind glass and masked up they would not serve us or make conversation, they turned away until we were masked. We will not return to this hotel.

An ultimate scenic location and lovely staff but the hotel room could have been a better experience. Bathroom was a bit stinking, fan was too noisy.

Beds are comfy and rooms are big. Rates are pretty good too

This is a picturesque building in a rocky city. We stayed on the third floor split level room where the bed is on upper level like a modern condominium, very cool. The facility actually seems old yet well maintained. However, we experience power outage at night fortunately during our sleep on a moderate weather evening.

Stayed two nights in a suite with a jacuzzi. Room was fairly clean. Rooms needed a bit of upkeep. Had dinner in the restaurant, it was edible but nothing special. Got what we paid for.

My room has a jacuzzi in a massive bathroom which wasn't expected and it was amazing

Horrible if I could give negative stars I would.
Comforters were stained with what looked like piss and blood. Was told I d get discount due to this grossness. Go check out and I m told no we won t do anything cause you booked third party. So this means this hotel has no cleaning standards. Worst experience every.

Just checked in for a night, the bathroom was so stinky because of the shower curtain. Seems like it hasn't been changed(don't know how long...). Also found lots of hair on the bathroom floor, bathtub and sink. The worst experience ever.....

Great hotel with modern rooms and friendly staff. Very clean. The downside (as with all hotels in the area) is the absurd price they charge for a night. Also, steered far away from their Hot tub during my visit as it looked like an old nasty pond.

The room was average at best !
With a premium cost !
No continental breakfast included in room rate of 280 per night.
Also ordered a wake up call and they couldn't even do that !

Had wedding meet and great was nice space . Need a bank machine as was cash bar.

Stayed 2 nights in the jacuzzi suite, 2 story room looked nice, view was looking over a cemetery, can hear people in the hallway like they're in your room, and
house cleaning did a terrible job.

Very nice rooms, friendly staff and clean. Could not ask for more. Vaulted ceilings in the room we were in were a nice touch.

Had a nice stay here for sure. I liked the private location, but not far from town.

The staff was extremely helpful. I had my truck break down and they lent me all the tools and equipment that i needed to get my truck running again.

Holiday Inn is know for comfort and price, popular with wedding parties, Bus tours, located convienately to all access points.

Ridiculously bad service. Our 'suite' was not cleaned until we asked for it to be, and even then the bed was only partially made. The front desk staff were rude and impatient.

Awful. We did not get our room clean. Mentioned it, came back from being out to our room left OPEN, unbelievable. Then they wanted to offer us $5 US to say sorry. Unreal, we will not back.

Wow ! Best Room in town. 2 Storey loft, 2 bathrooms, suite, large windows, 2 showers, 2 TV, 1 bathtub and one jacuzzi. Super clean, spacious and very tastefully decorated.

Air conditioning didn't reach the loft space, hair in the Jacuzzi tub, not impressed overall

I really enjoyed my stay here in September 2017. The location is great and a much cheaper option than staying right in Banff. The hotel is clean and all staff members were courteous and professional. I really liked the bed and you have a choice of pillows (firm or soft) to suit your needs. Although the place was packed with other tourists I never heard a thing at night. My room wasn't special but I had a great view too. A great hotel at a great price and still close to restaurants with easy access to the highway leading to Banff.

Had a booking here, was here a few years ago and it seemed fine. Get in our room and there was hair in the sink, the beds were wrinkled and looked laid in. Dust on the tv and bedside table. Requested another room and found hair in that room and pine needles in the bathroom within about ten minutes of being in there. I don't normally complain but in times like this with hotels you need it to be above all clean. Canmore isn't cheap at $220 a night it's not like it's a cheap place to stay either.

Luckily got our money back and went and booked at another hotel instead.

Very disappointing experience with front desk. Leah Brown will bring down the ratings for this hotel. I will inform all friends and family to not waste their time to stop at this location. Very disappointing experience. I stay at lots of hotels but this one is a never ever for me.

Hotel is nice, restaurant is mediocre at best. No free breakfast, and don't let the dust in the vents fall in your food

Stayed briefly at the hotel, but the staff were nice and helpful during that time.

I love this location as it's close enough to Banff without the high costs. My wife and I have stayed here twice for a weekend getaway from Calgary and we will be back again. Love the loft suites.
