Room was fine but the included breakfast terrible in every respect. We were committed to an early start and showed up at 6.35am -- we were told the previous night that breakfast opens at 6.30am. The two waitresses told us that it'd take about another ten minutes for them to be ready; they gave us a menu then told us that using our breakfast voucher we could choose only one specific item on the menu. It took another 15 minutes for the ham and eggs to arrive; everything tasted leathery and dry.

Stayed here as the busy season was coming to an end but still paid $200 for a room with a queen bed, it was ok.

The "continental breakfast" was the biggest issue of all. The kitchen was having some issues so the menu wasn't exactly top notch which at the time was fine, things break down and you make due. We were told that breakfast would cost $13 for the two of us and we thought "ok not a big deal." The problem came when they charged us $27 for two plates of scrambled eggs, 4 tiny sausages and two pieces of toast.

We went to the reception desk to question it and they said they couldn't do anything about it scince they didn't own the restaurant and had to speak to the manage there. So we tried to speak to someone there but the only person we could find was another waitress who said in severely broken English is that no manager was around and there is nothing she could do. We paid the $27 left no tip, and got out of there.

The staff at the hotel and restaurant are about as useful as a screen door on the space shuttle. Would not stay here again.

Rooms are good, my phone adapter got burnt when I plugged it in in one of the rooms. Informed the nice front desk who relayed the information to the manager, the manager offered to give me hers, which I declined because it sounded unfair to me. I Requested a new one and empty promises were made. You may want to refund the little amount now, how much is 30 bucks to remember, I'd say don't worry.
I hope I was fair enough giving you a week before I wrote my review.

Nice setting. Easy to get anywhere in the Canmore/Banff area from here. The pictures on the website made the 2 story room seem MUCH bigger. Lighting in the room is a little sparse. Will be time for a renovation soon I think. Overall a good experience but not quite what I was expecting.

Holiday inn has been consistently outstanding. I enjoyed the beds. They were so comfortable. The room had a Keurig. This started the morning off well. There was also a microwave and large bar fridge in the room which was handy.

Thank you for returning my phone. Thank you to the restaurant crew that night of april 15. And to Maricar from receptionist... great job everyone...keep it up. On the other hand the Hotel is neat and clean and so fragrant. I love it! Food so great too. Just place some rags in washroom, the flooring tiles is too cold. Other than than its very good to stay!!! I recommend!

Very clean and quiet rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The server in the restaurant was the best. She made everything kid friendly and was happy go lucky. Would definitely eat there again because of her.

It's a decent hotel. Location is good next to the highway and 5 mins away from lots of options for food. The things I didn't like is that this is a very old construction hotel and I sure requires serious makeover in coming few years. Overall it's good but it has lot of potential to get to an excellent hotel.

room was clean. that's about it really. way to expensive for what you get.we stayed in much better accommodation for half the price. it's a bed and shower. there are no spoons or kettle. just a straw to stir your coffee as that's all you get. disappointed.

The people are friendly and the food in the restaurant is really good. They stayed open for us since we got in late and were very pleasant even though we kept them waiting a little. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. If you are using an accessible room and you have a disability, make sure they put the shower chair into the shower for you and adjust the shower head so you can reach it. If you are by yourself and use a wheelchair, you might not be able to access them if they had them where they were when we got in. Overall, very nice hotel. Book early as it will fill up.

I made a reservation almost three weeks ago and requested a king bed. At the time there were still lots of king beds available. I called tonight to confirm my reservation for tomorrow night and they said that had given away all the king bed rooms. I called back to see if there was some kind of mix up or anything I could do but no one answered so I left a message. It's been over two hours and no one has returned my call. As a platinum member I have to say I am very disappointed.

First and foremost they had charged our credit card prior to our arrival. Secondly we would appreciate them not slipping our statement under our door. We would rather deal with front desk and pay on check out day. On the morning we departed the staff were busy talking among themselves instead of dealing with us. DO NOT PLAN TO STAY in Holiday Inn in the near future.

Asked for a quiet room a several times after booking as I was working night shift.
Very noisy hotel and hard to sleep.

Also seems like the hotel put everyone into the same wing.

This morning, 2 members of the housekeeping staff sounded like they were talking at a football game instead of walking down a hallway with lots of do not disturb signs on the door.

Overall, not a restful or relaxing stay.

The hotel is showning its age, though hotel staff were very nice and attentive. Room we got had the view of the air conditioner unit. Luckily the noise was not as distruptive as we had expected. Being close to Banff without paying "Banff" prices was welcomed.

We are @ the Holiday Inn in Canmore as I take this survey. Nice look as you first drive up to the doors. Upon entering to check in, we had a booking that a 3rd party had paid for, but was asked for our credit card as they couldn't find the booking or payment for our room.
Sent to one room and after1/2hr. called by front desk to say they found the booking and I needed to vacate the room we were in. They did help me vacate my room as I had started to unpack, but the room was only 4 rooms apart and identical to what I just vacated.

1. Lovely pure white towels and bedding that was inviting. Once I began to look closer with my decorator's eye I noticed that all lamp shades were extremely dusty. I also found all pictures were lovely and old Holiday Inn pics.are a lot of fun.
2. There were chipped & broken ceramic floor tiles also dirty in corners mostly due to age but found long black hairs on floor.
Everything looks so mixed-up as sink was chipped, toilet had flushing difficulty & bathtub had antislip strips that were stained black from dirty feet. Tub surround was extremely worn.
3. Restaurant was extremely good with fresh ingredients and we l prepared dishes. Awesome! Great live music!
4. O.K. day desk staff but much more friendly @ night.as there was a smile and greeting for all.
5. Beautiful Gas fireplaces featured in small cozy seating areas.Lobby furniture is dirty and worn esp. on arms. All tables are bare so creates an uninviting space. Any artificial arrangement or greenery are old and if they have lights on them, nothing was lit. The flowers look like people tried to do rearranging themselves so look is very poor. Getting a new arrangement yearly isn't going to put you in the poor house.

I travel a lot. I have never been to a hotel where I wasnt greeted with a hello or a warm smile. It was so bad I asked the gentleman assisting us at the front desk, at check in, if he was in a bad mood. He didn't understand my question and apparently neither did the other staff member behind the desk. Upon check out, there were three 3 women chatting. No hello. No good bye. No thank you. No Have a good day. The jacuzzi was nice.

I've stayed here twice and I'd stay again. The staff bends over backwards to make sure your stay is a happy one. I felt totally comfortable taking to the front desk staff. My fiancee and I were upgraded to the suite at no extra cost to us! Very kind staff and gorgeous facilities. I've stayed at a lot of Holiday Inns and this one is definately the most romantic and luxurious. Bonus points for an outdoor hot tub.

We used our loyalty points to obtain our free room. It was midnight we were exhausted. We went to check in and our room wasn't cleaner. When we came back the front desk made comments about us not wearing our masks. The next room we checked into had dirty pink shampoo along the tub and our sink was so clogged it would not drain
In the morning when there was a new front desk manager I told him our concerns and to make it up to us he drew a map of animals to show us where most of the wild life is

Website advertises a full restaurant. Well, that's not the case. The rooms are not necessarily "clean" per se. Closer to tidy. The ceiling fan is covered in dirt, we found a massage oil bottle lying by the bed, the bathroom fan sounds like it's about to taxi down the runway. No maid service during the time we spent here. The halls have not been vacuumed in, who knows how long. The water pipes are extremely loud. I would really not recommend this motel. I'm very disappointed in the Holiday Inn brand after this stay.

Good location, close to highway and provincial park banff. Value for money. Could have been better if they can start providing complementary breakfast like Holiday Inn Express. Hope this helps.

Hotel is easy to access from the highway and close to quite a few eateries. (Canmore has a lot of restaurants!). Room was clean, as expected. Parking is easy and ample. Stayed for pleasure overnight on a Sunday so the hotel was extremely quiet - no kids running in the hallways, etc. The only thing was one half of the blackout curtains was off the track. I figure stuff like this should be fixed. There was also no clock anywhere in the room - not even on the microwave!

A good experience and a good hotel. At Holiday Inn, you know what to expect and you get it. Will return for another overnight jaunt.

Rented the normal suite 2 Queen beds /its a great room for the price that is located close to Banff National Park /the only bad news is that Covid-19 closed down its hot tub,gym and breakfast services / hotel is close to ammenities and can go for a short walk to pickup up some pizza

Incompetent staff. Starting with they couldn t find my booking. The after 20 minutes of searching the computer my booking was sitting on the fax machine. It was sent by fax 3 hours before arrival for check in. Then I asked about parking and they said anywhere outside in the parking lot. I did a few laps and there were two very tight spots , extremely small stalls . There were rocks over hanging into the stalls, once you park and open your door you d hit the rock. So your basically stuck in your vehicle if you took those parking spots. I walked inside after parking on the street and said great parking lot . No spots and it s to small for the hotel. They acted like they were surprised , I said if you have worked here for more then 3 days you know that the parking lots is garbage. I hate while people play dumb. Now I m in my room and it s noisy by the highway. I m not expecting to get any sleep tonight. Train staff properly or hire competent staff. Fix the parking lot and I m sure you ll have happier guest. Being this close to the highway I don t expect you to be able to change the noise.

I m very pleased with hotel staff and management although some of the guests next to us had drank way to much and kept us up till 2am. Nothing you can do about people unfortunately, besides making a complaint which the hotel night staff handled promptly. You can find anything you need here during your stay in this beautiful location. I recommend this place definitely
