Holiday Inn Bethlehem Review

I stay in IHG hotels constantly for business. This one is nice and clean. It's a newer construction.

Businesses around the hotel are fairly new as the area is being built up. Staff here at the hotel is friendly and helpful.

4 stars because pool is still closed and it's been 85-90 degrees for the past few weeks.

Our room was super nice and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, great coffee!

Nice clean hotel and handy to shops and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Holiday Inn Express in Bethlehem, GA. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was very good and hot. Lady in the kitchen/dining area was very acomodating to our request. Thanks for a good night's sleep and clean, well kept room!!

We evacuated Florida and came to stay here for 3 nights. The hotel is pretty new and the staff are really friendly - all of them especially the Arnold at the reception and a receptionist called Irma... yes Irma... we ran all the way to come and find Irma greeting us... but a different kindda of Irma!

If there is anything to improve that would the breakfast, not many options...

Nice new hotel in Bethlehem. Really friendly staff. IHG properties have great amenities, great price and service.

Clean rooms however AC and bathroom have some intermittent odors. Small pool. Would likely stay here again though

Front desk lady was friendly, room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only negatives is the room walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors from side walls and walking from the top one. Breakfast wasnt the greatest, but not a deal breaker.

Wish I could give zero stars! We gave this hotel a 2nd chance this past weekend. The carpet in our room #307 was wet in several places. It smelled HORRIBLE!
They had no other comparable rooms available so we were stuck with it. The desk clerk gave us deodorizing spray and old towels to cover the wet spots.
Now I see they charged us an additional $25 for who knows what, which we will be disputing with our credit card company. We will NEVER stay here again.

Great hotel, shower was pretty lackluster. Everything else was what you would expect.

Extremely nice, comfortable, friendly, clean, and a good value. Easy on/off the highway with nearby restaurants. I stopped at a competitor first but walked away because the price was too high. What I found at Microtel Inn was nicer than what I would have expected at the overpriced competitor up the street. I travel a lot for my job and have stayed at many hotels but this one I have been to several times. I will be sure to stop at this hotel again on my next journey.

They will over charge your credit card and claim you owe money. When you question all the charges on your credit card they then threaten to call the police. Where s my money HI? Horrible service! Front desk is rude. They call your room at 9:30 am to remind you to check out at 11. Lights did not work. Toilet is loose from the wall and seems unstable. Would not stay here again. T

Very unprofessional check in. Reservation confusion. Staff wasn't concerned about the check in issues.

Entire family stayed there for a wedding, the staff was wonderful. So helpful with all of our needs. Tracy did a great job of customer service 24/7.

Stopped in overnight on the way home from a Golf Tournament, needed 3 rooms for my players which they had at a very late hour. Worked out great.

Want to turn on the light next to your bed? You cant unless the big main room light is on, so you either get all lights on or none. Want a window shade that you can shut for privacy? Good luck with that, I had to switch rooms to get that. The woman at the front desk is rude. If you like loud refrigerators you'll like the rooms here. I walked into my room and thought that someone else had already been in there because of the poor job someone did making my bed.

That's the kind of hotel this is. Run by a cheapskate trying to save every penny by sacrificing the little things many people won't notice, but if you stay at a lot of hotels you will.

Very large king leisure room. Very clean, beautifully furnished including a comfortable desk chair and chaise lounge chair. Front desk staff very friendly and professional. Good options for breakfast including sausage, bacon or turkey sausage biscuits, bagels, cereals, pastries, oatmeal, fresh fruit and muffins. Conveniently located near several restaurants, shops and movie theater off of Highway 316 about 20- minutes from Athens GA /UGA.

Hotel itself is was very nice. Very clean, modern and new. Customer service however was TERRIBLE. Stayed over night with another friend while there we had to call the front desk to ask for more of something to which the front desk refused to bring up to our room. Then upon getting home I noticed my card was charged twice. We were told we could split the cost of the room and each pay half of the bill at check in. Which we did. When calling to explain my card had been double charged and my friends card had been charged as well the manager refused to refund the extra charge on my account. Just horrible service!

Very comfortable and clean. Didn't enjoy the breakfast.

Very nice and new hotel. They overcharged me 1 night and I'm waiting to see how they resolve this.

Clean rooms. Heat wasnt working so they switched my rooms right away. Breakfast is great. Hospitality is top notch.

I was there when it was new in Dec 17 and there was still some kinks being worked out. It s a lovely new hotel with great attendant staff . There were some plumbing problems but they quickly remedied the situation.

Nice room .but that is about as good as it gets. I was told breakfast is between 6 to 9
Never ready before 630. Keep saying the pancake make was break. But one said it was not she had it going . i think staff to lazy to do breakfast.

very disappointing considering I have stayed here the past 2 months and elite IHG member!! Worst experience- Re thinking my next stay

Very new building, everything around here is fairly new - restaurants, stores, etc... We stayed in 2 different rooms, a week a part, and can't remember about the first room, but the 2nd room definitely didn't have curtains so the street lights shown through the windows. There are blinds on the windows but no "blackout" curtains.

USB outlets are a huge plus.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

Amazing staff, very welcoming in the morning and evening when going in and out the hotel kinda disappointed the pool wasn't open but my over all experience was great

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The ambiance in and around the hotel was amazing. I must say our visit to this hotel was too short.

Nice and clean, modern contemporary decor, glass shower doors! Like most hotels, the water pressure in the shower is a quite weak, but the towels still smell fresh.

UPDATE after a second stay: The efforts to save construction costs are quite apparent. You will be able to hear your neighbors down the hall as well as the floors above.

I still plan on using this hotel for business trips, but I wanted to let everyone know what to expect.

Rooms where clean nice place has truck parking very limited tho

The hotel and amenities were great. The hotel is new and clean. The service we received however was less than exceptional. We were directed to the wrong room at check-in and the staff was taking a personal call in the lobby during check-out. We opted for the mobile check-out which was seamless.

Nice place to stay but the room did not get as clean as it should have.

we have two eight year old. We tell them for eight hundred miles that went we get they can go swimming. Did not know the pool was not open because they are working on it. Kids not happy, and if you have kids you know what I am talking about. If they would of say something before we check in we would gone somewhere else. That way we booked there for the. Pool. Not happy

We were pleasantly surprised. This location is clean, modern and staffed and very professional and friendly people.
The beds are super comfy! You will not be disappointed with the bathroom either.

Just spent 4 nights in this hotel and if there had been another hotel within 15 miles we would have moved night 1. The beds were the only good thing about this hotel. One day was our room actually "cleaned" and by cleaned I mean new (less dirty, pictures being sent to Holiday Inn) towels were replaced and 1 of 2 beds were made (not changed sheets). Yes you read that right, they made ONE of TWO beds??? I delivered the overflowing trash cans to the front desk one day 2 which in turn I was provided with new trash bags so I could put them in the cans. The staff is unfamiliar with what customer service is (except for one nice lady who works days but is not empowered by ownership to do anything but be nice). It is Memorial Day weekend 90's and sunny all days we were there and the pool is still not open... If you have to be in this town then this is your only option, but I will say there are other hotels 12mi & 15mi away, if you can travel that distance everyday, do that. Management should be put through a hospitality class before being allowed to screw this new hotel up.

Was amazing when it was originally owned the new owners destroyed the place. Got mite bites from the bed my daughter broke out in a rash and had breathing problems from the smell. When we got there the owners were fixing things because they didn't want to pay staff. Talked to what little staff was there and they were overworked under paid and agreed that the new owners had no idea what they were doing and didn't care about cleanliness or their worker's

This hotel is very close to GA 316 so is very easy to find. It is clean with very friendly staff, and the GM was very helpful in getting our meeting room booked for a night time event.

I was their for a job interview the lobby and conference room looked really nice and the front desk representative Michelle greeted me with a smile and pleasant conversation, it was very nice meeting her.. I would stay at that hotel if I really had to travel to Georgia..

New property , plenty of close by everything. Food and entertainment.

These relatively newer IHG properties seem to have so many problems. Go somewhere else close by if you can manage it

Excellent new hotel, modern yet cozy. Love the furniture placement. Friendly staff. 24/7 coffee in lobby. Movie theater & fine dining within walking distance. Great shopping center nearby!

Great location and fairly friendly staff! A few technical difficulties with the tv which were fielded well by the front desk and an overly eager housekeeper but all in all a place we will return to!

I only delivered a package here, but it is very clean, quiet and secluded. A the 2 employees I encountered were very nice.

My husband and I stayed here for three days with our toddler and small pup. They had just opened a few days before. The hotel is decorated well and clean with the perfect amount of amenities. David W. and Marcia were extremely nice and helpful. The owner's were there working as well and were very nice and willing to help in any way. We will definitely be back and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The room was clean, the bathroom was clean very nice didn't see any bed bugs however we had only been checked in for 3 hours had an emergency arise and had to leave, they would not refund any money. I was a little upset about that.

Very nice comfortable rooms that had a very very upscale business-man s vibe. Rooms had a fridge and microwave. Bed very comfortable. Included a complimentary breakfast. Only real complaint was the phone to call for housekeeping and/or the front desk wouldn t connect. Kept saying it was transferring but never worked despite multiple attempts.

I rented the bigger hall and I called it the wrong room name. They setup the chairs in the smaller hall, but not the right amount of chairs. They also setup the tables; however, the tables were filthy with sticky drink mess all over them as well as the serving Buffett table in the back. My relatives rented rooms, no discount for us renting the hall. The floors in both rooms were messy. It took 10 min at least for a girl to come in with a vacuum. Then there was no extension cord for her to do the entire floor. Needless to say the setup put me an hour minimum behind on my big day (we got married same day). When I talked to the manager who is the hardest person to try to get in contact with, she said her employees were lazy and that if I knew people to work for her to let her know. It isn t my job to find workers for you. No discount for the dirty unorganized room. Instead, I get accused of trying to bargain with her. I simply asked the final price and gave her my card number. This place is awful. I guess there is a reason it was the price it was for the night. I don t recommend renting the halls here to anyone. If you do rent it, make sure you plan to lift the tables and chairs and set everything up yourself so you don t show up expecting them to be and running behind like me.

The hotel was clean. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. My room was nice and clean. I will be sure to stay at this hotel again.

The women at the counter were absolutely terrible. They said they didn't have any additional rooms available. Sent us to a room that smelt like an Ash tray. Went I told them my entire wedding party wouldn't be paying for any of the rooms unless I was moved, all of a sudden there were plenty of rooms open and available. The worst customer service I've ever experienced at any place. Black lady and Hispanic lady at the counter need to be let go as soon as possible. One even requested that we check out early so she could pick up her kids. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never return to this and potentially any holiday inn ever again.

New hotel, clean and beautiful lobby and room. Modern hotel and I loved it. Great service by manager and his new staff, he checked us in while training his new staff, he made sure that check in process will not take long and helped us with our begs and made sure our room is located on the 1st floor as requested. Beautiful room and everything was new. Never been to new hotel before.
