We booked a room for my parents and a room for my wife's parents for 5/25/18. We came by early just to confirm and after waiting about 15 minutes, on the front desk clerk who was MIA, we were told we were good for check in at 2pm, as their sign states.
Brought the folks over about 3pm to check in but the rooms were not ready. That's no problem. Things happen. After waiting for the rooms to be cleaned we were given our keys. One room appeared to have cheese curl crumbs on the pillow case and had hair in the bed. The other room had hair in the bed as well. Housekeeping is way behind so I attribute it to that but as much as I have paid for these rooms I expect more professional service. Still waiting on housekeeping to correct the issues.
Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Nags Head, NC a few months back and it was excellent. I hope this is not normal for the Bethlehem Holiday Inn.

We came to this hotel when taking a trip to Athens for a choral concert. We thought it would be a great hotel to stay at since it was cheaper and newer than some of the hotels in town. Now the problems began to start. First the door on our room did not latch so anyone could walk right in if you weren t there. Secondly, the sofa bed in the room did not have sheets for the bed so we had to ask. No big deal if the front desk knew what went on a bed by giving us only one sheet, so then we had to explain to them what went on one. Another problem was the sink in the bathroom that did not have cold water so if you wanted to wash your hands they got scolded. Lastly, was the woman at the front desk who was not properly trained for her job and who was downright rude. All in all I d never stay at this hotel for its horrible service and lack of amenities.

I will simply say...don't book if they have a children's basketball team there...children running up and down the hallway...breakfast area completely destroyed/messy because there was little to NO parental supervison and the noise level was extremely loud. This is a brand new hotel and very nice but, due to this experience...I would not book another stay their.

Almost ZERO breakfast food Sunday morning.
We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Helen, GA the weekend before. And it was nicer, updated and an onsite cook who was serving hot breakfast.
Very disappointing!

Newer hotel right by food and a movie theater. Stayed here on business with family so it was nice they could get a variety of food and entertainment nearby. Only improvement I would suggest is moving the pool towels outside by the pool rather than inside where it's less convenient if you have to get them when you are wet.

This is a newly built hotel with a beautiful modern design and decor. The staff was friendly at check in and check out. The room was comfortable and the bed was soft. The greatest thing about the modern design in our room was the use of shades vice curtains so you can keep out all light if desired. We were on the 3rd floor and that kept the noise level to a minimum which was very nice. The price for one night was a little high (a little over $200 with taxes) but was better compared to Athens rates since we were only 27 minutes from Sanford stadium.

This hotel is new and in pristine condition. Everything was very clean and inviting. The front desk clerk was very nice and very helpful. The rooms were nice and spacious. There was ample parking. It was a bit hard to notice from the street though.

Arrived and the rooms where nice and ready for check in. The room was nice and the hotel is new and fresh. Plenty of towels and the rooms are big. Beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was better then we had anticipated. Great value for your money and easy access to the area and plenty of options to both eat dinner and shop.

Beds were like a cloud, room clean, food was terrible. Sausage looked like rubber logs, the only thing worth eating was yogurt. Some of the staff were excellent, some not so much! Would contemplate staying again...company chose the hotel.

The two stars I'm giving this property is for one ...

The two stars I'm giving this property is for one reason only and his name is David (he deserves all of the credit for this place).

The property is brand new, although there were things physically wrong with this property like a toilet paper bar hanging from the wall by threads of screws and light switches and outlets that didn't work. It was obviously a rush job to open. The entire hotel smelled of still wet drywall mud.

Check in...mostly pleasant, but the desk clerk couldn't even answer basic questions like whether a hot breakfast was served....really?

The elevator alert is crazy loud and obnoxious, I'm glad I wasn't staying near it, although there couldn't have been more than 3 cars at the property the entire two days. The floor indicator walls once you step off of the elevator make you feel like you're in a parking garage, but I digress.

We left for the day on our first day, returning at about 3:00 pm. to find our room not yet serviced. This seemed odd as again there were maybe 3 or 4 guest vehicles in the parking lot. When we called to ask about the room being cleaned and fresh towels etc...we were told that the housekeepers were still working because they had nearly 30 rooms booked the night before. 30...really? They must have been clown cars. And look, even if there were 30 rooms to clean..that's a paltry amount for most of the hotels of this type. I think they only employ one housekeeper to cut costs. Ok, that's fine, but the front desk clerk (Amy) could have simply said, "I'm so sorry, we're just running behind, I"ll make sure someone attends to your room right away). But instead she made us feel like we were a nuisance.

Enter David, the housekeeping or general manager, I'm not sure which. He showed up to our room within minutes ready to service our room while we waited for the housekeeper, who showed up shortly after. He jumped right in and started servicing the room and listened to our feedback about the hotel. He was gracious and understanding. Validation is all most people need and he provided it.

Fast forward about 20 minutes. We decided to visit the pool and were told there were pool towels just outside the entrance. Well, there were towels, but I wouldn't call them pool towels. They were more like oversized workout face towels. So, when we asked Amy at the front desk if we could get some regular bath towels, she informed us that it was against the rules, and that she could get in trouble. Rules? For towels that we had access to in our rooms anyway? Really? The only rules that staff that interface with guests at any type of hospitality facility should follow is "Make the guests happy". Unless of course a guest is rude, or asking for unreasonable concessions....but a towel...that's not unreasonable and we certainly weren't rude.

Enter David again. Unsolicited he showed up at the pool with full sized bath towels for us. We chatted a bit more and he apologized for the mistreatment. We said we really aren't picky people and that we travel a lot.

We discussed the strange cattle herding that they make you do once you're in the pool area in order to leave and get back into the hotel. Once you exit the pool through an external gate that surrounds the pool, you have to walk around the pool and presumably get access back into the hotel lobby. Well, our key cards didn't work so we ended up traipsing all the way around the hotel to the front entrance.

The "hot" breakfast was pretty much a joke. I typically stay in Hilton properties like Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. Their hot breakfasts aren't anything to write home about, but compared to this offering it's like the buffet at Ceasar's Palace...this was simply awful. There were a small amount of dried scrambled eggs, and two shriveled sausage patties.

All-in-all, the feeling we got was that the owners were new at this game and hadn't really grasped the concept of hospitality and were most interested in rules and cost cutting. Hopefully they get their act together..we won't be back.

My company is renting one of the meeting rooms and Marcy has been a phenomenal host. She has gone above and beyond to accommodate myself and my team and I couldn't let another day go by without thanking her for all her exceptional service. Thanks, Marcy!

Customer Sevice was good but rooms could have used a little bit more attention to detail. It wasn't so dirty I changed rooms or hotel but still. Also toilet paper was very cheap and toilets don't flush well. Otherwise it was what you would expect from IHG.

Hotel and staff were great. Room was very clean and nicely updated, though, the construction of the hotel and furniture was shoddy. TV was WAY off level and they did not get around to fixing it, so I borrowed a screw driver and played facilities for 5 minutes.

Other than that, I was very happy and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Lots if restaurants and shopping nearby.

Stayed several days.

Stayed several days.
No breakfast At 6:30 ,
No vending machines raped me for $3 for a candy bar at the front desk,
Then they have some party in their ballroom. With a bunch of wild kids with loud music knocking on doors and running off. The front desk guys exact words when I complained was "ok" not I'm sorry or anything. Just "ok" I'm paying $135 a night for the motel 6 standards? Worst holiday inn experience EVER

I know the hotel is new and still working out the kinks. I booked several rooms and was quoted one price but my party got charge up to 100 over the quoted rate. I wanted the Manager okbar to make it right. He refused. My group had over 15 rooms and I just say check and make sure they are charging you correctly. The bathrooms smelled bad
And I was very disappoint with the service. I Should have read the other reviews first and found some where else to stay.

The room was dusty and several lights did not work. Hotel front desk calls your room hour or more before 11 am to remind you to check out at 11. They act like they are the customer. Stay away!
