Good place for lunch! Go about 11 though. Lines form starting at about 11:30 and the wait can take your lunch hour. Everyone in town loves to come here and so do the students from the high school and two colleges. I wish they had gluten free hoagie rolls.

I typically have loved this place. My husband and I don't get here very often, so yesterday was his birthday and we decided to come to Hogan brothers. My husband and I are incredibly sick from food poisoning yesterday. The only person that didn't get sick was my daughter, and that's only because she refused to eat any of it.
Great atmosphere and edible food if you request it cold. Very iconic local sandwiches that are way too hyped up. They microwave cold cut sandwiches with mayo et al. Ever microwave a sub sandwich? People in this town LOVE it for some odd reason.
This is probably my favorite sandwich anywhere. I could give this place 6 stars if it were an option. I get the combo sandwich and recommend that to anyone trying this place for the 1st time. Ive never haf a bad experience here. My only gripe would be its almost 11 dollars for a full size sandwich. Lowering their prices would make me frequent here a lot more often. Food is amazing!
Fluffy, tasty bread. Delicious meats topped with fresh veggies. Excellent soups, environment, and service...Far and away one of the best hoagies I've ever had. A must-go eatery for day trip tourists and locals aike.
God their sandwiches are great. A "full" is almost to much for me, and I can usually eat allot. The bread and ingredients are great. I actually crave it out of the blue on occasion. Service is fairly quick, and employees are usually very nice.
Terrific sandwichs and soups. Everything I've ordered at Hogan Brothers has tasted great. The breads are soft and fresh. The meats are fresh with many options for sandwiches The atmosphere is layed back. Highly recommended.
The line was a little long and with only one person behind the cash register it took about 5 min to put an order in. Luckily the food didn't take long to be served and was very good.
There's a lot I really like about this place, great food and an interesting atmosphere. The wait for food isn't long, even when it's packed. I highly recommend eating here, it's inexpensive and it's good food. The menu is a little confusing to follow, but it doesn't detour me nor should it.
We've been coming here for over 15 years, and still look forward to the amazing soup and sandwiches every time. My favorite is the combo sandwich with beer cheese soup...it can't be beat!
Honestly its a college student run business so the professionalism isn't top notch. But the food itself is simply amazing. Great place to stop by downtown and enjoy a nice sit down meal.
Ok a year ago I would have given five stars. Seems most recently there's a revolving door of employees. The guy in front of me last night ordered a beer and the employee didn't even know how to pour it. The ice cream scoops used to be 'bragable', now they're pitiful. The food is always fresh, yet the last 5 or more times the sandwiches were not prepared correctly (either unwanted ingredients or incorrect ingredients). The woman clearing the tables walked around emo-like (seemed like she really didn't want to be there) - not the kind of environment to encourage enjoyment. Sorry, but it would seem you guys are slippin'.
Serving up high quality sandwiches on fresh baked hoagie rolls. They also serve soups and ice cream and have both soda and beer on tap. Open for lunches and dinners.
Horrible service, very unprofessional looking workers! Very slow. The guy was very rude when I ordered. I probably won't eat here again, If I do it will be to go. I felt like a nuisance in the dining area. Food was good though.
Food is consistently good. More expensive than chain sandwich spots but it is better quality.
Service is typically not super quick, not quick enough to make a 30 minute sit-down lunch. Placed my order to dine in, looked around quickly to try to find a spot to sit and it was pretty full with a couple dirty tables. Asked to switch to carry out before leaving the line and was met with a glaring eye roll. I quickly redacted my request as to not make his very difficult job any more challenging.
Good food but not the right choice for a quick lunch.
My daughter's favorite place to go all through high school, still drops by when she comes home to visit. This child was known as the pickiest eater! It's very clean, very nice fun people working there! And the food is great!!!
MMmmm, I'll admit that I was dragged here by a hype train of people who attended school nearby at St. Olaf and sometimes college perspectives can be a little skewed, but the food here did not disappoint. Juicy and flavorful sandwiches abound. Highly recommended.
The sandwiches are always hot and fresh, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting with their rustic furniture. If youre looking for a quick bite, or a sit-down dinner, you'll be coming to the right place.
Love the food but the service was s-l-o-w. I think they were preparing to-go orders asap and pushing the dine -in orders to the end of the line. But love the sandwiches.
Hogan Bros is known for their unique artisan bread, and giant scoops of ice cream. Every ingredient is fresh and scrumptious! It's a good place to have a get-together or do a school project. They have free WiFi
Great hoagies. Options like third, half, or whole hoagie as they are pretty big. Half hoagie and cup of soup is the best. Also offer other sandwiches, muffins and bars, and have a variety of ice cream. The staff is primarily college students so the service quality is hit or miss.
