Hogan Brothers Acoustic Cafe Reviews

Always loved Hogan brothers but last night we came in to pick up an order I had ordered 3 .3 sandwiches and 3 cups of soup and 1 bowl. I paid, the sandwiches were done but they just had to fill the soups. Well they were short. I over heard part of the conversation. The guy asked a girl something and she said that's ok don't worry about it. When I got home the cups and bowl were only half full. They could have asked if I wanted a different soup or refunded my money for some but I was disappointed that that was the way it was decided to be handled. I love the food there, just don't go at end of the night.

This place is a wonderful place to eat...for a sandwich shop that's a quick grab. Been coming to hogan bro in not just this location for awhile. However....if you are a college student or just someone who needs a quick income. I highly recommend to move on this is not a good working environment and the manager Meg is not a nice person. Very rude and thinks her way is the ONLY way. Hired me with part time hours and I was given 6 hours a week. Not only that the rules are very unreasonable (rules is structure to make a business run...but within reason.) If ur washing dishes i advice to not plug in phone to music box thats provided. Some how they will spin it that you're on your phone. If a supervisor tells you, you can count the tips....Stayyyy awayyyy!!!!....they will tell on you and then let you go. Clever but seriously messed up .the only reason that comes to mind is becuase the hours are limited so its very very cutt throat. Dont bother getting days off, you wont get it off...Meg will STILL put you on the schedule even if it's well in advance. Still great food but if you're a youngster trying for a buck...McDonalds is a better option at that.

The sandwiches here are pretty darn good..then ice cream for dessert.

Great sandwiches and soups. The bread is so soft and all the meats are extra tasty.

Downside:Very busy and very noisy. Upside: Great food, great prices, good staff. You need to go there at least once, hopefully more.

A Northfield classic - just go and get yourself a hoggie.

I love it. If they do it right, 5 stars. Just..maybe once every 4 or 5 times I go there, my sandwich has too little special sauce or way too much mayo. But it's still always good. Best hoagies I've ever had.

Ho Bros is an old standby. Simple, delicious menu with sandwiches, soups, and ice cream. Such a great place to get together with friends and enjoy a good meal!

2 sandwiches, a bowl of soup, a cup of soup, and a giant cookie for under $20? Hell yes.

Best sandwich I ve had for as long as I can remember. Split a whole sandwich, which was plenty, with salami, turkey, and all the toppings. The bread was amazing and so warm with oil and herbs to top it off. Great customer service as well, wish I lived near by!

I got flatbread roast beef with onions, lettuce and mayo. Amazing.

Great service, fast and cheerful. Delicious food, I could eat here everyday of my life, best food in down town Northfield. If you are passing through Northfield this is the place to stop and eat, you wont be disappointed.

2 or 3 months ago i would have given this a 5 star rating. But there ice cream size has shrunk an entire scoop. I have loved hogan brothers since i was in 1st grade! But now they are really slacking

I have a feeling someone called in sick or neglected to show for their shift, 25 minute wait for one 1/2 sandwich with only two people in front of me. The guest directly behind me were informed that the establishment had "86'd" bread.... They ran out if bread at 615pm.

A sandwich shop with homemade soup and draft root beer.

This a neat restaurant that specializes in hot hoagies. They have their own bakery and makes their own hoagie buns. Home made soups with a ice cream parlor. Old historic town with many antique shops. Has a neat river that runs at the edge of downtown.

Great hoagie spot. Homemade soups and chilies, homemade bread, homemade cookies. Doesn't get much better than that. Very comfortable atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here & the food was delicous. I got the half hoagie (combo) & soup special they were having, which seemed like a really good deal, but unfortunately did not totally fill me. Otherwise it was great!

Best hot sandwiches around! Soup is pretty good too! Still haven't tried there ice cream but looks pretty popular amongst the kiddos.

Really good sandwiches. You can pick up to 3 meats but you typically get more meat when you pick just one. 1/3 is a good size for kids. Chips, cheese and salsa is nothing to write home about.

The sandwiches and soups are good here! Sometimes the service is slow for take out orders, but they are always busy so it's understandable. Good locally owned restaurant.

As a college, Hogan Bros is the perfect place to get away from cafeteria food and enjoy a nice warm hoagie and some ice cream.

Great people and even greater food. This is easily my favorite place to eat, it has fantastic and non-expensive food and ice cream. I love the Hoagies and ice cream.

The lack of competition is its greatest asset. A fine place to grab a bite on the quick but nothing special.

Great tasting food. A piece of advice, not everyone has been there so tell people that they have to take a card so that their food can be brought to them otherwise they will wait 30 mins for their food like I did. Also a smile never hurt anyone.

An establishment for many years it is a requirement when we stop back in Northfield after having gone to college there. What I truly like about sandwiches at Hogan Brothers is that they aren't trying to win over customers with piles of toppings and meat. The sandwich is balanced with just enough of each thing and really hinges on having the soft warm bread and the vinaigrette/sauce they use.

I like the sandwiches and soups they have. Plus, they have enormous ice cream scoops.

It is a good place to eat something light, and at a very affordable price, it is only served by students from the 2 universities in the city. They have a variety of natural and artificial ice cream flavors and at a very affordable cost.

Horribly rude people. If you are terrified of a un-muzzled face stay home and collect unemployment Karen! My family was treated very rudely. I will never spend another dime here and I m a local. Worst customer service EVER.
