Tim was on time, friendly and professional. He explained all my options and helped set up a sales visit to explore replace versus repair.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I called their office on a Tuesday, nobody answered so I left a message. Nobody returned my call. So I called them again on Thursday T/T Brenda and made an appointment for them to come out on Saturday to repair my AC. She said they would be there between 11am-2pm. I stayed home til 3:30pm and nobody showed up. Nobody called. Even worse I called them around 5:30pm and left a message saying nobody came out. Now a week later I haven't heard a peep from these people, no return phone call or explanation. What a way to do business. I'll never call them for anything again.

Jeff H. was at our home today to give us an estimate on a new AC unit. Jeff was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He presented the information we needed to make an educated decision on a new AC unit. We have been Hoekstra customers for 25 years. Hoekstra is an excellent HVAC provider in the South Suburbs.

Chris L did a great job servicing our furnace we asked him to come back next fall and service it for the next heating season. we also asked if he could do our Air conditioning in the spring. He also helped us set up a Heating Maintenance agreement for the future. Thanks Chris.

My furnace stopped working for the second time this week, both times in the evening. Steven came around 9 pm within 1/2 hour of my call. I had read the codes on the blinking lights and knew it was the same problem as the night before, so I asked Steven to explain how I could have condensation in the hoses attached to the switches again.

Steven took the time to carefully explain how a furnace works and how water is a by-product of the gas burning. He then took the time to speak with the technician from the night before to go over possible causes that might have been checked for. He did find a small particle in the hose line and the furnace did start working again. Steven was careful to explain that this might not be the reason for the condensation and that it is possible that I will need new switches. As I'm a person who likes to understand my home and why new parts might be needed, this was very helpful.
Steven is a patient and thorough technician who provides excellent service.

This technician has always been courteous, professional, knowledgable, and interested in the customers best interest. We have requested this technician for over 4 years. Other technicians have been less knowledgable and not as helpfull in taking care of the total system we hard Hoekestra install years ago.

We had our A/C unit serviced today by Justin A. He arrived promply within the window of time set up for our appt. He was very professional in attire and with the company safety protocols. Justin is obviously very knowledgeable with the equipment & was very thorough with the servicing today. We had a friendly conversation while he suffered with the heat, yet never complained. The agent, Tim Hall, came out to do a routine service. I had just bought a townhouse (summer 2019) and I wanted to know the state of my furnace and AC. He was very detailed, polite, and informative. He was honest about how badly my AC needed to be replaced, but explained that it could limp along for the summer w/o a problem. He suggested that I try to keep the temp at a moderate number to not overload the AC. I appreciated that he didn't try to sell me on a new one and gave advice on how to deal with what I had. We all know how expensive a replacement can be, so by that interaction alone I will recommend Hokestra. Tim really took his time cleaning and inspecting my units. He wore booties and cleaned up any debris that was knocked loose. I will always Hokestra going forward. Thank you for not trying to always upsell and make a profit. I appreciate it more than you know!

Steve did a thorough and professional job. He was right on time and made the whole process, simple and easy. The office staff at Hoekstra were also very friendly and helpful. Great all around service.

Full disclosure: this is my family company and I'm an employee. That said, I owe the guys who installed our new furnace a review. John and Isai came out promptly in the morning, explained what my installation would look like, and kept me posted throughout the morning with updates and any questions.
They were neat, efficient, and did a fantastic job of walking me through my new furnace and control system. Not just that, they made it all look as neat as a pin. I am proud of my new furnace, and even more proud to say these are the kind of guys we send out to our customers to take care of their home comfort. Thanks John and Isai!

Timothy Hall was friendly, informative, and skillful. He did an excellent job!

On today (10/13/2014) I had a very bad experience involving Steve Binner, operations manager. Because I questioned the model number of a gas furnace, equipment brought to the home for installation, and qualifications of the installer sent out today. Steve Binner along with input from Kelly Brandon decided to cancel the installation of the furnace. I made the decision and signed the agreement for installation, and never cancelled it.

10/13/14 at 10:30am, I spoke to Kelly after the cancellation to determine what happened. Kelly stated, "Steve felt that you (Betty) were not satisfied, and made the decision alone to cancel the job."

I have been a long time customer along with friends like Connie Rawls and the Picarro's to name a few. I actually recommended friends to Hoekstra and this is what the company think of me as a customer.

According to Hoekstra, as a customer, I do not have the right to question the service and/or equipment they install (those are the cancellation reasons). So, folks beware!!!!!!

Tyler was very conscientious and thorough. I appreciate all of the time and effort he put into getting our air conditioner cleaned, tuned, and ready for the upcoming summer season. thanks, Tyler!

We've been using Hoekstra since we moved into our new house and have been very happy with the services. They always send us a knowledgable, professional technician. We most recently had the pleasure of working with Chris Lopez. He was efficient and punctual, as well as respectful of our "no-shoes" policy. We had a great experience with Hoekstra, as usual.

Completed the installation as agreed, on time and at the estimated price.

DeCarlos was very professional, courteous, thorough and on time.

Took a class here for training on how the AC and Heating System works. I feel sorry for the instructor. The instructor was not feeling good. They had to cancel the whole class.

Today, Rob Z. performed maintenance on our furnace. He was thorough, offering care and maintenance ideas. He even wore booties and left the area clean!

As in past visits, Tim arrived in the window of time arranged, was professional as always, left no mess. After completion, Tim explained what was accomplished, what had to be replaced and why and thoroghly answered all my questions. He also offered tips for me so I would have a satisfactory experience going forward. We set up next years appt. and Tim was on his way

Timothy is very professional and knowledgeable on his craft. I would tell anyone who needs work Timothy would be the guy you want and need to take care of your problem! Only know him on a professional level, I think his a great person. Keep up the work!

Larry M did such a great job! Not only did he clean the furnace, but he also took the time to remove 2 furnace filters that had fallen in years ago. The filters were either missed or ignored by another tech during routine furnace cleanings. Larry also had some great suggestions to keep that furnace going! for Larry and Hoekstra!!

I m a second generation Hoekstra customer who purchased an older home in 1994. I've recently purchased my second HVAC system from Hoekstra. Every interaction I ve had with Hoekstra over 22 years has been a good experience. That s saying something because I m a really crabby person. It begins with a phone call and Brenda F is always friendly and helpful when scheduling the semi-annual service agreement maintenance and the rare call for repair. This time, Tim M s technical expertise made him the official bearer of bad news that my current air conditioner had indeed died and needed replacing. I received invaluable guidance from Scott S, a Hoekstra engineer of 32 years, who clearly and respectfully explained types of systems and options to me in a language I could understand and without condescension. Jacque S, an absolutely patient gem, worked with me on logistics to quickly schedule an install. She sent two excellent techs, Todd K and John H, who skillfully installed my new HVAC system (and dealt with numerous older home and older homeowner quirks) -- on a rainy day -- leaving everything spotless inside and out, and, in fact, in better condition than it was before they arrived.

My humidifier fan bearings were shot and very noisy whiched turned out to be a blessing! Jackie (the replacement specialist), and Todd the exceptionally talented HVAC technician and teacher, together talked to the operations manager about my situation...a condo with a very small furnace closet, + a floating wooden floor, throughout the condo that has a tendency to have gaps without proper humidity. The end result was, Todd was able to work his magic, not to mention his expertise, to do the impossible! He was able to fit a bypass humidifier into my small furnace closet. Now my humidifier runs silently with only my furnace motor...and my humidistat shows I am maintaining a better and even humidity level than I ever did on the fan powered humidifier! Teamwork lives at Hoekstra!

We needed some work done on an older furnace, and Jeff was able to get it tuned up and working better within about an hour. He didn't try to talk me into an expensive replacement, but was able to give me some other suggestions to have a more comfortable temperature in the house.

The installer's didn't take long with replacing an outside and indoor unit. When the job was completed they explained what they completed and future maintenance information. As well as a highlighted layout in product info paper work. Good customer service from the 3 techs that visited.

Our furnace, which was installed by Hoekstra 9 years ago, was working, but was noisy and vibrated. This was not an emergency, but clearly something was wrong. Hoekstra send Tim M to repair it within 24 hours. The entire process was efficient and professional.

I got my 30+ years old A/C and furnace replaced by brand new Lennox's EL16C1 and SL280UHV!
The installation took 10 hours. Eduardo and Jonah are very polite and very professional. Explained clearly, move around the stuffs carefully, clean up after the work. Extra works also done to my humidifier. The AC worked perfectly and looks neat!

Timothy Hall was very responsive to our call. We noticed early this morning that our furnace was blowing cool air. After calling and talking to Timothy about our issue, he agreed to come out at 8am. He was actually here by 7:45am, did maintenance on the furnace, our heat is back at normal and we're staying warm during the frigid single digit temperatures. Thanks again!

SALVADOR C AND KENNETH L INSTALLED NEW LENNOX HEATING AND A/C UNIT. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I WOULD GIVE THEM VERY HIGH MARKS FOR THE JOB THEY DID AND CLEAN-UP AFTERWARDS. ALL QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED AND WE ARE VERY SATISFIED.

Ernesto was great. Showed up on time - actually early - was courteous, went about his business in installing a new AC, explained things along the way and cleaned up after himself. Also very personable fellow. High marks for Ernesto.

I was very satisfied with this company. The technician, Jake, was very professional and very thorough.

Called a few people for a estimate on a new AC and coil and blower motor, hoekstra had a guy Marshall Washington representing them in a hoekstra van with a uniform and working actively for hoekstra which was conformed through their booking service and another tech named Larry Marshall. I have a two year labor and parts and cleaning from them and a ten year manufacturing warranty and yet they or the tech won't solve the issue I have of the coil freezing up even after I offered to pay them just to remedy the issue. I even had the police on site for the follow up and the officer said he couldn't believe the low level of service I was receiving even after offering to pay. So when we asked to speak to the manager of the follow up tech the tech left and no one is helping me address the issue. I am not one for going the legal route with lawyers but under advice from the police and prosecutor I am not only giving them a deadline of this week but also for the completion of the job or I will file a civil suit against Hoekstra for the theft of service and misrepresented service as well as for breach of contract, I have video surveillance from our security as well as gaurd shack from that day showing the tech coming and a testimony in front of the officer from the Larry marshell that the tech that did the work worked for them at that time plus time stamped video proof he was at my house in their uniform in their equipment doing this job. All I want is a resolution to this problem if they can't help me I will file charges and suits against them to show them you can not treat people this way.

Dallas and Ernesto were professional and knowledgeable. They explained what they were doing and cleaned up after they finished. I d definitely recommend Hoekstra.

Jeff H responded to my emergency call to repair my AC on a sweltering evening earlier this summer. He was thorough in identifying and resolving the problem. I highly recommend him for his skills, professionalism, and efficiency.

May 2018. This is the second time I requested Larry Marshall. Again, a very thorough job and perfect timing with the 90 degree temperatures arriving. Besides the cleaning he had to add some Freon and you can really tell the difference. Thanks again.

HVAC A/C and Furnace maintenance service - no problems or issues - Tim was professional, easy to work with and performed the service without issue (and during the Covid-19 epidemic was extra cautious as we all expect people to be).

Larry was very pleasant and provided some great expertise. He extended himself to take a look at and offer his expertise regarding the ducts and the airflow throughout the house. His advice has made our home warmer in places where it was not. He gave a stern and needed reminder about the importance of changing the furnace filter. After he left, I ran out and got that filter and made sure to put the date on it. Thank you again Larry for your kindness and great service.

Christopher Bartlett did a great job on our high-efficiency carrier furnace Checked over from top to bottom replace the air filter and check parts that are beyond my knowledge, but feel he really knows his stuff!Highly recommended

Next day appointment with Salvador who was so gracious and hard working. I hadn't had heat in days and Salvador saved the day!! We installed a new high efficiency AC and furnace about 5 years ago with Hoekstra. Today Tim H. came by to take a look at our AC when it wasn't coming on. He responded very quickly to our call and came out the same morning on a holiday weekend. Tim was extremely professional and made sure everything worked properly before he left. We can't say enough good things about Hoekatra and Tim in particular. Highly recommended.

Today we had an issue where our furnace was not heating correctly. We placed a service call and got a rapid response from Timothy Hall our service technician. He gave us an arrival time and was here before we knew it. He was able to remedy the issue and explain to us what caused it. We are very grateful for the service that Hoekstra HVAC performs for us.

We had an issue with our heater. Apparently a water hose that supplies the humidifier came disconnected. Knowing nothing about these systems I thought a heater spewing water probably was a bad thing. Called hoekstra and they sent Timothy Hall out in less than an hour. Timothy was very professional and knowledgeable, explained what had happened, and quickly solved the problem. He gave us a few tips for keeping the humidifier system clean, and was on his way. We only use Hoekstra, and this is a perfect example as to why. They are always on time, friendly, and always exceed expectations. Thanks Timothy!

Great service, friendly people. Starting with Todd, who came out the day we had our first troubles. He told me my older unit needed gas. When an AC unit needs gas, it's not good. Generally this means the system has developed a leak, and with a 21 year old system, it becomes time to replace it. After refilling my unit, he suggested that I have a service rep come out and look into pricing a new system. My furnace was old as well, and I decided to get a price to replace both. Scott came out the following day, and was VERY thorough in his relpacement estimate. He offered my 3 different options. One more budget minded, one more efficient, and the third a high efficiency system that would save me money in energy cost as well as providing superior heating cooling and heating capacity. I have had 2 other estimates from large companies, and was not impressed with their explaination of their estimates, or attention to detail.
Once settling for Hoekstra and getting approved, I moved on to Jaque who handled the planning and dispatch of the installers. She was fast, straight forward, and got my job rolling fast. This is the hot season here, and I felt that she understood my need to get the units back working, and came thru like a champ. On installation day I was promised that the crew would arrive between 8-10 AM. The crew arrived at 8AM sharp. Eduardo, Salvador, and Daniel were our techs, and were really great guys. they were polite, worked hard, cleaned up very well, and got my whole job done in 1 day. They ran into some trouble with old rotten duct-work under my house (in a 24 inch crawlspace), and went the extra mile to take care of that as well at no charge. when the crew left, my house was clean, cool, and I will now be able to rest easy knowing that for the rest of the summer I will have cool air as needed, and going into the winter will have good strong heat as well.
To all the people at Hoekstra, thank you for a job well done from start to finish!

Daniel installed a new humidifer and repaired a section of flue pipe in a few hours. He was clean and very professional, we are happy with the work.
