The Hobby Center is a great place to see musicals! When most recently came to see Hamilton with friends. The entire theatre district was packed, but the center did a few things to help things along - they offer the ability to order intermission drinks and snacks before the show starts. This was, when it's time for intermission, there is no wait in line as your drinks and snacks are lain out on a table.

However, drinks are fairly pricy, so consider that a cost to see such great shows

Watched Sleeping Beauty back in December and absolutely LOVED watching it! I have never been a person to enjoy plays, but this was very comical and kept my attention. The building itself is massive and well-kept. Employees have varying attitudes obviously, some being very nice and some being grouchy. Overall, if you want to see a play, be sure to visit their website and check out what will be playing.

Great venue! Even with a packed house, it was possible to make a mad dash for the concession line during intermission and take a bathroom break. In other words, the facilities (ie concessions and bathrooms) are sized to handle the number of people the venue can hold.

I had a great time seeing the stage play "The Redemption of a Dog" featuring Snoop Dogg. Very nice auditorium. Snacks, drinks(and mixed drinks) and food in the lobbies. Second floor lobby seating (reserved) to socialize while waiting on show time. My first time at the Hobby Center and it was a great experience.

Takes forever to leave the parking garage after a show. Otherwise, the venue is great. Sat in the mezzanine level but the venue was designed so that there was no trouble seeing or hearing from up top, unlike some other theaters I've been to.

I went here with my 3 year old to see Paw patrol live. We had a great time. It was easy to get to. We had a good view from our seats. I'd come back here for another show. Staff was very kind and professional.

Being a lifetime resident of Houston, I recall and mourn the old Coliseum and Music Hall. Still, the Hobby Center is gorgeous and a great venue full of good seats for music performances. The nosebleed seats are a bit remote for some stage performances.

It is a good place to see a Stage production. It has good restaurants but you probably need to make a reservations in advance. It is not inexpensive, but it can be a very nice evening out.

I've wanted to see "Phanton of the Opera" for over 20 years. What a wonderful performance. The cast was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. Parking for the event was $12. There were 3 garages within close walking distance. The center has an elevator and wheelchair entrance. Valet parking is also available. Cocktails and light snacks are available in the lobby for purchase.

I was at The Hobby Center with my grand dtr who was on crutches due to a broken leg. I was overwhelmed with the kindness and consideration we were shown. From the time she got out of the car, there was someone asking if she needed a wheelchair, to the usher who seated her first before opening the doors to the general public due to the stairs she was going to have to navigate on the way to her seat, to the person who took our valet ticket to the head of the line so she wouldn't be standing too long. Thank you very much. Your thoughtfulness was very much appreciated.
