Whatever you do DO NOT purchase box tickets. They have installed these huge boxes on the edge of the stage for audio and lighting and it blocks your view of the stage and makes for a horrible experience.

Not quite as open and friendly since you have to go through scanners, dump liquids in trash but today's security is necessary. Hobby Center is beautiful and many wonderful performances every year.

Recommended. Nice location. Affordable parking across the street. Vallet parking available. Very good sound system. Chairs could be a little better for comfortably sitting three hours. Overall very good.

Been to several shows and sat at highest seats and lowest seats. Have thoroughly enjoyed the shows I've been to. Mary Poppins was the most recent and it was great production, cast and set were great. Highly recommended catching a show here.

Sat in mezzanine. Good view but no participation in the magic show, which was fine for me but disappointing to the children. The venue itself is beautiful as well as comfortable. The staff was mostly friendly with the exception of a few. Overall, we had a great time. Parking was $12. I felt like after paying $350 for the tickets, parking should be included, but hey it's Houston and I know what to expect.

My wife and I came here for a showing of The Bodyguard and had a fantastic time. We enjoyed the show so much. This place is very beautiful with excellent sound systems and effects. I don't get to see live theater very often but it was absolutely worth it to go see this. I would definitely return here in the future and see many more performances by the very talented cast.

The ushers and other workers here we're also very polite, helpful, and courteous. So all in all, a really great experience coming here.

Went there to see the Nick Jr. Live show and was very impressed with the parking, areas outside the theater, and inside the theater.
The only qualm I have were the seats are definitely a little tight for heavy set people. Thia, however was not enough to detract from all the theater's strong attributes.

I've noticed allot of changes in recent years. This year is the first year that even after curtain call people were still allowed to get to from there seats and go in and out.
Also, the metal detectors took away from the experience of going to see a musical. I know...we live in sad times but there has to be a better way than making patrons feel like they are walking into a place that is presumed to have allot of from. Makes people feel uneasy. At least it for for me.

The Hobby Center obviously did not give the restroom design much thought at all. Really, you want almost 2000 people to go down stairs from the orchestra level to take a pee at intermission and come back and be seated all within 15 min. The lines at the restrooms are unbelievably long for men and women. And you had better be able to move fast or you will get trampled by all the folks that have already figured out the restroom locations are a joke. Furthermore the parking garage design is no better either, again if you are not up and out of your seat, running for the door as soon as the show is over you will sit in line in the garage for at least another hour.

Great venue. Went to see Set It Off. Had fun. Clean restrooms great atmosphere. Beautiful view. Bistro had on two options etouffe that was soupy and chicken with hashbrown casserole which was hashbrown and sourcream. Have to get better food cause for forty dollars it wasn't appetizing. Drinks were great!

Get there early for valet parking. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed each show very much. Seating was a little tight on upper levels. Floor, lower level seating is much better.

Go here for TUTS. Show selection is suffering with new management. Good cocktails, good food, staff is ALWAYS wonderful and very helpful and friendly. The staff really makes the atmosphere and the event.
