The tickets received were not the ones selected. This is the second time that we had tickets switcher on us. There won't be a third. Staff trying to clarify what happened was lovely. Being at Hobby Center was a strange and stressful evening.....not welcome when tickets for two were almoat $400. Terrible evening.

Ps. The woman next to my husband spilled a glass of wine on his pants leg. Since when are drinks allowed into a tight seating area?!!

Saw Hamilton here, they handled the crowds perfectly, allowing pre-purchase of drinks for intermission so no long waits in line, also had many attendants directing traffic in the ladies restroom during intermission. Wonderful venue.

Volunteer staff was pleasant. Tight security. Comfortable seats. Not sure if it is the design of the building's acoustics or the sound engineer for the Color Purple, but some dialogue was difficult to hear, (volume)

I love this theater! The seats are lovely. They have plenty of bathrooms on the first floor (over 50 stalls approximately), the shows are wonderful. We are so lucky to get New York quality Broadway shows performed by our own local Houston talent. We have been season ticket holders for the last 10 years. Always a joy!

Downtown Houston in the theater district, always a great venue. We almost always eat at Artista located right in the building...great food followed by great performances! Plus convenient parking as well as valet parking.

The Hobby center is a nice venue for the Broadway shows that run here. Both Tuts and Broadway across America use the large stage as their Houston home. They could use some restrooms on floors other than the lower level. There is an average but not spectacular restaurant on premises.

Raise your hand if you miss the old Sam Houston Coliseum and Music Hall, which stood on this spot from the Great Depression until the late '90s. Yeah, that's what I thought. Very comfortable and modern, and thank you for occasionally donating tickets to veterans groups, so my husband & I can go without spending a few grand...gnome sayin'?

I've really enjoyed a couple of nice dates here. The plays are well casted, executed, and enjoyable. Parking in Houston is my least favorite, in general, but be prepared to spend 45 minutes - 1 hour in the parking upon leaving.

It was awesome we had a wonderful time and the after party the actors the crew we're very sweet and fantastic people. And everyone was so friendly and it was my mother-in-law's first time there. and it was her first time to meet a drag queen and to see like a show and singing. So thank you for such a wonderful time at the Hobby Center and the after party.

was very loud. the design of the theatre doesnt require the actors to be amplified but all of them have a mic. the cooking on bottom floor floods the upper levels to a very undesirable degree.

I loved the show. I only gave it 4 stars because the parking garage was 6 stories tall with only one entrance and one exit and two elevators. It took forever to leave. We stood in a long line to wait for the elevator. Then it took about 40 minutes to get out since we were on the top floor. We will never park the again. We will go across the street.

This is a fabulous venue. I've sat in various parts of the main area and always had a good view, even from very high up. They've added food and drink options recently, which were a good addition. And their systems for intermission bathroom breaks are almost surreal! As tons of people swarm the bathrooms the attendants are on hand to direct everyone through in an almost-constant stream. It was crazy.
Also, keep your eyes on the starry ceiling for long enough and you'll see a shooting star. I don't know why but I always love watching for it.

Have been a season ticket holder for ten years. Saw "Oklahoma" presented by Theater Under the Stars (TUTS). Have heard all the popular songs but never saw the performance. Really nice show. TUTS offers a wide variety of musicals with top notch talent from the Houston area as well as singers and dancers from the traveling shows. Garage, underground, and valet parking is available. They are still working on the underground tunnel from the parking to the Hobby Center so elevator is not available. You will need to climb two flights of stairs and cross the street to get to the Center.

Wonderful show! TUTS does spectacular productions and Jerome Robbins Broadway was incredible. Everyone should see the masterpieces of dance and musical theatre moments that he created that are presented all in this one show. Brilliant. Run to see it.

With my husband's hearing loss, sometimes theater night is a little challenging, but everyone went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time and that we both enjoyed the show. I love that TUTS offers ASL interpretations for selected performances.
