Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison Review

OK casino. No table games, only slots. Took all my money, $100, in about 20 mins playing minimal bets. Would've been better if they let me think I was winning a little before cleaning me out. I'm guessing covid has caused them to tighten up their payouts. May stop again next time I'm in the area but definetly wouldnt go out of my way to play there.

Fun if you want to gamble. Alright atmosphere. Only one restaurant where you can sit down. Was given our bill before food came out. Waiter was not quite all there.

You win, you lose.. I'm a regular at this location, i've won a good amount with max bets, i've also lost alot doing the same.. i've done lower bets with the same amount of luck. I love the food here, the newer bar is nice and looks great. There is always new games, lots to choose from. While this casino is only slots, its still a good time! Watched a guy win A $38,000 jackpot last night on his first spin betting the max of $2.. which was cool to see! -- also several other jackpots for a couple thousand all around the casino while I was jumping from game to game.. This place is always my go to when I want a little alone fun time! Also, the staff is friendly!

A maze of small gaming rooms. Nice that it is non-smoking.

This place needs a face lift. There are only slots and no table games. The most exciting thing in the past year is now they serve alcohol. Kind of a bummer of a casino for the size of Madison. Poto in Milwaukee or the Ho-Chunk in Wisconsin Dells are much better.

Total ripe off... either no bonus...or bonus doesn't pay. They give a jackpot to 1 person while robbing everyone else. This place has gotten progressively worse over the past 9 years. Since the so called up grades, and rewards card program have come into play...many locals are being pillaged of their money. It used to be fun here, now it almost makes you want to hang yourself as u go home broke. It's not one bad day or even a week... it's months and years...many sign themselves out of this place. A legal way to rob people..their lying ass slogan reads.. Dejope gaming Madison your ticket to more. Yeah right... ticket to more past due bills, and a f... up life.

Always fun and the gamers grill is excellent the no smoking gaming floor is wonderful the players and imployes are always nice.

New management to greedy forget having fun here. Theywant all your money. Go to casino your wallet will be all ways empty. And your cloths old with holes the smart stay away.

Never won more than 40$ in 9yrs of going periodically

This place used to be fun and you could walk out with money. BEWARE, not the case anymore. It has been over two years now and I have not had one hand pay( jackpot over $1250). TERRIBLE payouts!!! You be best to just throw the money at the door and leave. I've gone to this casino for years and I RARELY see slot techs awarding hand pays anymore, staff cut in half on the floor, never any service for drinks. This is ever so apparent by the fact I never see a full lot, even on a Friday or Saturday. This is what a dying casino looks like. It has nothing to do with a smoke free environment. You (casino management) can't possibly think you will ever get the chance to grow and possibly become a poker establishment like you tried before if people stop coming because of payouts. This is the very reason I no longer go to the Dells. Here's hoping you close the doors before you bankrupt all the loyal customers you have had in the past.

Friendly staff. Snack bar is OK. Really can't give a fair rating, they're still under remolding. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

I never thought I'd have to worry about having a gambling problem but the place is set up to lure you in and steal your cash. It takes tons of money to get a reward for the rewards club.The games mesmerize you. Don't do it, it's the devil!

This was one of my favorite places to gamble worth the drive, they have the most modern up-to-date machines I have seen around but with the coronavirus only less than half the machines open and too many guests not enough machines. If you want to come here wait till a virus stuff is over.

Great casino..if you like wasting money SOBER on just slot machines. No booze somehow and not a single table game. Go here if you enjoy being disappointed.

Not happy with the new restaurant. Yes it opened Monday, but some of these things should not have happened.
1. Took a very long time to order food, and then the hostess had to take our order, don t know what happened to our server.
2. We ordered the special and a bowl of seafood chowder. Other tables who came after us got their food before us. A very long wait and then hostess again took care of the serving.
3. Pop is a charge now when you can have it on the gambling floor for free.
4. No one checked back with us to see if we needed anything.
5. Took us at least.an hour to have lunch. How much money are you losing from all the people like us who are not gambling because of dining delays?

Since their alcohol expansion it seems like the slots tightened up a bit. But, that could just be my luck though too. Be your own judge. Overall it is one of the best in the area from my experience. Good luck and most importantly, enjoy.

Went here for the first time last night. Extremely disappointed that not only did they have not a single table Game but also no alcohol. Forget this place if you wanna have fun better go somewhere else. Worst casino I've ever been to

Policing of facility lacks common sence .. Also the place literally sucks more than a group of thots in a dildo factory.- signed not only one but four very unpleased customers definitely woulnt recomend this place to anyone even if its a person who loves to waste their time

Typical casino. I have been there about 4 times. It always feels dirty. I've never felt like that at other casinos. I probably won't t return.

Machines are tight, same as the dells and Wittenberg.

The player club "Gifts" is a Joke. you have to get 700 points to get a towel. ( you need to bet $ 7000 dollars and lose $350 for a towel !! )

There seems to be not enough "awareness" of sketchy people wandering around in the parking lot.

I personaly was asked for money as I shut my car door to go in to the casino. I told the 2 security people outside who at first didn't hear me but figured out what I said and acted.

place where you put 800 dollars in a machine and play with 1.70 bet and you never get a stupid bonus ... so that's all about this place... it sucks ...

Be prepared to have ur temp checked as well as a must wear a mask to enter.. due to the covid-19

the casino is great, the grill is not good. people don't seem to want to work in the grill. Customers suffer.

Good place to go on a Saturday night and relax, I love how it's non smoking now as before the place smelled terrible. Sometimes the bonuses are a little low.

If you like Video Poker...look elsewhere. My first time there in over a year. Most of the video poker seems to have disappeared, only found one area with 6 machines, all 'bonus' ones, each bet you placed was placed on three hands, but you only saw the cards and had the choice of choosing to hold cards on one of them, didn't even see what the other two held until you hit 'deal'. Enticed you that the hand you could see and the other two had 'randomly' generated bonus (3X, 5X, etc) payouts. Lousy payouts on them also-finally hit a four of a kind and it really didn't even pay much on that! Other slots do a lot of 'oh, we're going to give you a chance to win extra if you happen to get certain combos that generate bonus spins/games', but they also were pretty low payoffs. Lots of penny machines, but made you bet 30 or 40 cents at minimum, so you were paying more per play than a single bet on a quarter machine.

We have been so proud of our No Smoking casino in WI, it is a very nice clean place to go for a few hours of entertainment.
But now I have no idea why you would allow Vaping??
A big puff of vapor when sitting next to or near, is AWFUL!
It smells, and is something some one breathes in and blows out, just like smoke!
Why would you let this get started in your nice facility?

Last few years casino has turned very cold. If u want people to continue coming a win even little is necessary once in awhile. Used to be very different in the past have been coming for many many years....!!!!

Recently updated and smoke-free. All of the slots seem to be brand new which is unfortunate since that meant true penny slots were few and far between.

Somewhat small, and no table games. But a good atmosphere and no smoking whatsoever allowed inside. There's a popular eatery inside as well.

Changed so much.. Non smoking now! Has a full service bar.. A lot more games..only down side would be nice to have buffets in there and a cocktail waitres

Not my favorite but is pretty nice specially for all the none smokers that like to complain about it, I like to have a smoke when I'm enjoying myself

Pain in the butt to find points system should be better its kinda a confusing with the layout most of the games r linked into each other but u there r more choices for games n more wins

Love going here. And the chicken wings are the bomb!

I enjoy the smoke free atmosphere inside. Had to walk through a cloud of smoke at the entrance though. Not as grand of a casino as the Dell's but nice none the less.

Awesome...had a wonderful time with friends. Will continue to go again.
