Fun place casual dress outside standing room mostly. Good bands but it's hot this is TX you can't bring much of anything onto the show. Dress comfortable with comfortable shoes you'll be walking and gravel some of the time

Probably my favorite outdoor venue in Austin. A great variety of music acts, lots of space to move around, and great sound from back on the patio area (much better than Stubbs sound from a distance!) It feels very "Austin" and I always try to find shows here when I have people in town to visit.

I work security here sometimes so my experience is slightly different than most. The atmosphere is nice and the area where the stage is, is all open air. It is a "dirt-rock dust" type "floor" in the main area. The inside of the bar is very cozy and quaint filled with plush seating areas and a baby grand piano in the corner. It reminds my if a home that has a bar in the living space .

Walk the Moon was listed to play at this venue, so I emailed Scoot Inn to ask when they will be coming on stage, and they were confused because WTM is not supposed to be there that night. I was speaking to someone named Emily, and they were asking where I got my tickets(SeatGeek). This person said they would investigate, but never got back to me, and I lost money from this. I have messaged them a few more times and still have heard nothing - it seems like they are ignoring my messaged and do not want to discuss the issue.

Basically, if you see a band listed to play at a venue like this, contact them first to verify. Horrible management!

This hidden gem in East Austin that I ran into with friends. It has a really cool outdoor stage to listen to some good local music. We were there only for a short time, but enjoyed the live show. The only issue we ran into was parking.

At 58, I have been to hundreds of bars, clubs, venues, etc. and I am always impressed that your restrooms are both clean and functional.
That is beside all the other great things about this place.

If you like dark shifty looking places like I do, with live music and lots of inside and outside room this is a GREAT place for leaving your stuck-up attitude outside! Good drink prices too!

Update. They messed it up. The dollar wins again. Too many tickets sold, expensive beer, food truck no longer there, bathrooms inconvenient. Last year was my favorite. This year Stubbs back on top. Just my 2 cents.

We went to see a band. Didn't realize it was an open air venue, so I'm glad it was only a little chilly and not raining. Other than that it was nice, with benches and a few tables. The sound board guy seemed to rely entirely on the band to mix though, so the sound ranged from horrible to pretty good.

Small inner space for great little shows. Either the performer or the audience is in the others living room. Which is fantastic. Great place to play. Not nearly as many hipster s as I expected

Saw the faint last night at this venue and it was fantastic. It seems like no mattere where we stood for the outdoor stage we had a great view. There is an inside and outside bar. There is also a patio to hang out at in the front. The inside had a very classy vibe to it with fancy decoration. The outside felt like a classic outdoor texas style bar.

There was food stand in the back.

The staff was very nice, security looked like they were doing a great job watching the place, the bar staff was charismatic, quick, and made good drinks. The drinks were slightly high in price, but much better than an arena show would charge on a friday night.

Scoot Inn is one of my favorite venues in Austin. It has a very intimate and relaxed atmosphere. One of the best parts is the Skeeball inside. I love coming here to meet new people, and just enjoying my evening. There are all kinds of different shows for all different kinds of people. This place is great for everyone. I suggest it to all of my friends!

Got kicked out for closing tab and tipping. Bartender told me bluntly I did not tip enough. I explained that I was not done drinking and that I planned on continuing the night paying in cash, which of course would involve more tips. I offered to tip him cash on the spot right there and then. He would not accept my money. My buddy also offered to tip him on the spot. The issue seemed personal for some reason. Very unprofessional. Despite the bipolar bartender, the bar is nice and the location makes it seem hidden. Very nice atmosphere

Very intimate venue for a concert. Staff were friendly, bathrooms were well stocked and clean. Street parking only so recommend getting a ride share. Bar at the back and a hotdog stand in the corner.

I really enjoyed the venue and the concert. Very professionally organized. However, for the VIP meet and greet they had us stand outside in direct sunlight for 45-60min. They offered us water but no shade/fans/sunscreen. Be careful!
