I saw Mac Demarco perform here and the atmosphere was electric. Mac and his band were giving it their all. The crowd was pumped up. A good time was had by all.

The Scoot Inn, as a venue, is the perfect size. Great sight lines and very good sound. The bar staff worked quickly and politely.

This place was awesome. Went here for Yacht Rock Revue and we had a blast. Friendly, professional staff and clean bathrooms made the place all-star. It was easy to get into and easy to get out of. Great place for a live show and would definitely go again.

I do love this place bc they have a performance area outside and inside. Only issue is, when they have performances inside, it brings a lot of traffic and its almost impossible to be mobile in there. But its a cool little place that everyone should check out!

Awesome outdoor venue on the east side. Always booking funky, local bands, I look forward to every show at the Scoot Inn. I definitely want to go back during the day. The outdoor backyard is really awesome.

Cute place! It s adorable inside. The bar line gets very long in there during concerts but it is what it is. There s a couple more bars outside. Go early for a show, I saw people still trying to get in when the show was half over

Awesome outdoor stage - great sound and lighting! Their crew is on point. A combination of local and national acts, I always have a good time at this east side staple. Oddly enough, its been a while since I've been INSIDE. I loved the old indoor stage, with the men's bathroom right next to it (you got to experience that to really get the full effect,) but I hear they redid the inside so, I am not sure if that is still the case. In any event, the Historic Scoot Inn is a fun place to see live music!

Old school Austin venue made new school (kind of the theme of this part of town). I really do like coming here and the music is often times great - my friend even played here a few years ago though I don't think that their music (or decrepitude - they're all 40's) fit the venue quite right. Also inexpensive.

This venue is rad. It's open and there is a ton of space outside. Unfortunately , during live shows they turn off the taps and only serve beer in cans. They also charge six dollars for a regular size can of beer. I understand that businesses have taken to raising their prices during SXSW but during a local show ? Just seems crappy to me. Perhaps this is what Austin is becoming and if that's the case I'm sad.

A great place with a great food truck in the front. I ate the quesadillas from truck and the brisket ones were my favorite. A good amount of beer and liquor at the bar. Skeeball inside for you to play with friends. There is also a large outside seating area with a stage for live entertainment. Plenty of things to do for a night out with company.

A very well-known, popular East Austin bar and live music venue. It's got a laid-back beer garden style very typical of Austin nightlife, with plenty of room for large groups to spread out. The drinks are cheap, the shows vary-- sometimes a country band, sometimes a hip hop artist. This is a good stop if you're looking to explore East Austin outside of E. 6th.

I appreciated the proximity to public transportation, considering I visited on ACL weekend and it was easier to walk to the venue and drive. The concert area was very similar to Stubb's or The Belmont, although I was in the second row and still found it very hard to see with the amount of people. The tech was amazing- the lighting and sound technician contributed greatly to the atmosphere of the concert- and the stage allowed us to be up close and personal with the performers. We waited outside for an hour or two before the concert started and the staff was kind enough to bring out a cooler with water so we could have something to drink. The people were very nice and I enjoyed the concert. If it weren't for the fact that the opening act was changed at the last minute and the layout wasn't ideal I would've definitely given The Scoot Inn a better rating.

Where do I begin? Scoot Inn is one of a kind. From the amazing setting to the assortment of shows (spanning many genres) and events, Scoot Inn is among the premier entertainment venues in Austin. I won a contest for the Wild Child show a week ago and was given a bag of around $100 of merch and two tickets to the show. They are generous and even host events like a weekly movie night with free popcorn. Like indie? This is your spot. Like rap? This is your spot. Scoot Inn is a personal favorite of mine and I highly recommend it to anybody that likes a good time in a fun and friendly environment.

Saw Pale Waves who were great. Though stated that doors open at 7pm, they didn't open until nearly 8:30. Line was pretty long and not well lit, though there was police presence. Bar was efficient. With the recent rains, hard packed mud in front of the stage, crushed granite would be a nice addition.

Been wanting to come here for a while and our first time was for a Xmas movie night.

Wasn't sure what to expect but my wife and I brought our two daughters, 3 years old and the other 4 months

It was way better than expected!!! The staff there were very generous and it felt like everything was free! (Entrance, s'mores, popcorn, lawn chairs, blankets, even ear muffs for my 4 month old!)

If you go, buy some drinks and a hot dog and give back to this great venue's staff that seems to be giving back to its community through a great night like this!

I like this space a lot. It's like your favorite band is playing in a friend's back yard. A friend who also has a saloon. The stage is very small though and could probably be made a bit bigger. Also, there was a guy in the audience who had his ferrets there? So I guess if your ferrets like rock shows, The Historic Scoot Inn is the place.

A good place to catch a show, Its got that old school feel to it. What I like it's just a couple of blocks from the MetroRail's Plaza Satillo station. There is a food truck onsite, food is okay.
