It was a clean room, a bit outdated. Free breakfast! Some of the many steps were a bit dangerous. Would stay again.

Nice place was not expecting that type of a continental breakfast. Air conditioning filters need to be cleaned but as I always do did it myself
Basic but pleasant, and somewhat quaint. Surprisingly good firm mattress and nice pillows made for restful night.
Breakfast bar was amazing. Eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, waffles, and everything else you normally expect. Rooms were ok, beds were way too soft for my liking. Very cute hotel.
Booked room with jacuzzi tub and king size bed 3 weeks in advance. Arrived for check in and got to room to find regular room with king bed. They offered nothing just said sorry all the jacuzzi rooms are booked and there is nothing I can do. Said there are other hotels in the area that may have a room.
We arrived in the middle of the night and were very tired after a full day of work and a long drive.
Our 1st room was full of fleas. In my entire life none of my dogs ever had fleas. I know it's a gamble but this room was INFESTED. The room had a smell. The sheets were not comfortable and questionable.
My partner and I really enjoyed the town and was thinking of staying and extra night to relax. Saturday night when we realized our dogs high discomfort and discovered fleas the gentleman at the front desk switched our room from 134 to 136. What a difference. There wasn't a smell and the sheets felt a whole lot better. However, we had to break night attending to our dogs and trying to find some immediate flea treatments. (My dogs are extremely well care for. They are groomed regularly. Are given a Sentinel Tab once a month year round. When traveling or going to a dog park wear flea collars and are given flea drop treatments from Spring to Summer.) This was a nightmare for me. My shitzu Charlie is still healing from the skin irritations this caused.
I am glad they moved our room. I am also glad that they gave us another complimentary night. We wanted it and needed it now that we were sleep deprived.
The next issue is the staff. Besides the gentleman who checked us in and moved our room the staff's customer service at this hotel is by far the worst I have ever experienced.
On the phone when I called to confirm my reservations the lady on the other line was short and unwelcoming.
The dark-skinned lady at the breakfast lounge was AWFUL. She was beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. She was confrontational in front of everyone there and showed no respect or regard for none of the families. I felt her vibe Saturday morning but it was direct to me so I brushed it off.
Sunday morning, I was picking out a pastry and I felt a tap on my right shoulder. I turned to see and she was holding a tool and some food and told me in a very nasty and harsh tone, "YOU ARE FINE! TURN AROUND!"
My respond was, "excuse me?" She continued with, "I DIDN'T TOUCH YOU. TURN AROUND!" I attempted to deescalate the situation by explaining that I only turned around because I felt a tap. She responded with, "Whatever. Nobody touch you. Keep moving..." I was in complete shock and tired from the night before. The families in the room were just staring in shock as well. I told my partner what has happened and she said she felt a bad vibe from her as well and advise to just let it go. That particular individual's complete demeanor was just HORRIBLE.
In addition, whenever I ran into staff I would greet them with good morning, good afternoon, etc., and didn't receive a response; not even a smile in return.
Sunday morning's front desk lady was also shockingly unprofessional. Because of the night we had we were told to go to the lobby in the morning. When we went to speak to her she came off very condescending and tried to brush off the circumstance. When we went back to her to see what the general manger decided, we sat there waiting patiently, because we didn't want to upset any other guest with the flea story. So, as we sat there she was complaining about a coworker calling out, that she worked 2 jobs, that the general manager was upset, she made references about her coworker converting to "Amish". In addition, every room she checked out had an issue, which raised flags for us. However, when it was our turn to speak to her she was a lot nicer and understanding this time.
General Manager: we never got the chance to meet him or her, but at least they were accommodating to our matter and we appreciate that.
Overall, I don't think we would ever stay at this hotel again. We honestly tried to make the best of it and are grateful for the gentleman that checked us in and attended us the night of our horror flea story. The general manger also made a choice to make our experience a better one and that was nice. Nonetheless, our overall experience at this hotel was not a good one.
Employees were very helpful and kind. Place was clean. Would go there again.
They were very rude when we had to leave our room at 4am due to an insect infestation. I would give zero stars if I could.
Stayed here during our visit to Pennsylvania. Would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone! Thanks again for the kindness and very clean room. I'm sure we will be back!
Clean quiet places to walk near a lot to see great price for room.
Great staff...got me into my room early. Night clerk was very patient with with a sleep deprived, road weary, grumpy traveler...room is very nice. Will stay again
Hair and dime in the wrinkled sheets and Swedish fish and dirt in the corner. Nice restaurant and a lot of parking. Gazebo and picnic tables. This place looks great from the outside, is close to attractions, and the pool area is beautiful, but the room appears to have not been cleaned. Also wrinkled sheets and hair in the shower. Refrigerator barely worked. No housekeeping for the 2 days we were there and only one garbage can in the room. Disappointing.
Old, dirty, cruddy breakfast, check in person has no clue about anything asked about. Stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Is very centrally located for Amish country.
This hotel was not clean whatsoever. It was so bad that we had to Clorox wipe the surfaces and chairs. The sheets had so many unidentifiable stains and hairs that we slept in chairs. Not to mention that it was extremely outdated and our room had a terrible odor.
Excellent value for the price. The room was clean and had a microwave and a Fridge. It also had 2 sinks which was very convenient. Decent TV channels and the best was the free breakfast. Had the regular bakery items and scrambled eggs, bacon and fried potatoes and waffles. This will be our go-to hotel in Lancaster. Parking was also convenient.
Beautiful place, good breakfast but the bathroom smelled like urine...yucky..and tub wasn't really clean..
If you are looking for a clean and great hotel, staying here is a must! The rooms were large and very clean! The employees were super friendly and helpful! The outside area is adorable!
Very modern clean room. Front desk was always friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend! Will stay again.
Ok since we been here they did not salt the place I fell i told the lady at office I fell she said I need to be more careful witch I think isn't right and again nothing but ice brakefast sucks
Old, old, old. Not to be confused with antique old. Dirty old!
In need of paint, cleaning, upgrading and overall refurbishing. UCK!
Super cool with pool. Do not forget to go see the Amish.
Loved it went to sight & sounds last christmas and this hotel exceeded my expectations for the price!! Will definitely be going back this year!
The place may look out dated on the outside but inside was up to date...the beds were comfy, the A.C. was on when we arrived & Lydia was great...
We had room 151
It rained hard and the windows were closed but I woke to the carpet being absolutely soaked with water. This will not doubt cause mold. And may be why the paint is peeling off the walls and moldings. Our sheets had stains on them, the toilet paper holder was broken upon arrival, the bathroom door will not latch or lock when closed. I felt like I was at a low budget motel just they charged me for a 5 star hotel. It was the worst feature of our vacation. The only good part of the hotel was the breakfast.
Was ok. Got locked out of the room. Shower needed more pressure. Breakfast was ok at best.
Wonderful place, very comfortable and clean, great staff, great breakfast.
Really dirty room.. So dissatisfied..Walked in the floor was filthy, looked like it hadn't been swept in months. Found pills on the floor.. Call to get the floor swept, they came with a sweeper that picked up nothing. I had to go get bathroom cleaner to clean the bathroom. I won't go into detail on how dirty the bathroom was it didn't even rate a one. Didn't have a choice had 2 dogs and no place else to go.. The refrigerator was so loud had to unplug it to go to sleep. Then the heater kicked on and made loud noices. I have traveled all over the country, I have to say this was the worst place I have ever stayed.. Would not recommend this Inn. Asked to talk to the manager and the manager wouldn't take care of any issues..
I have been staying there since the mud 90 s when it was called the Historic Strasburg Inn
Beautiful surrounding area close to outlet in the heart of Lancaster Amish, great hotel stay included a breakfast , clean and very affordable
smoke smell everywhere (clothes still smell), shabby with cracks on landings, stairs. Shappy. Dirty floors, patched walls and ceilings. Shoere works, drain in basin slow. Beds good. one sheet had a stain. Staff OK. I was stuck for a place to stay for one night. Nothing else availabe. I tried to reserve elsewhere. No vacancies). Please do not stay here!
Such a lovely place! Much bigger than U thought. I had a double room with such comfy four poster beds! Very clean. And very accommodating. It's a definite recommend!
This was our first time staying here. My wife and I were invited to go to the Sight and Sounds Theatere's presentation of Jesus. Reservations were also made to stay here. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Our beds were very comfortable as well. We also enjoyed our continental breakfast provided by the Inn. Would definitely stay here on future trips.
Nice place but needs a new mattress caved in middle area
This older quaint hotel fits in nicely with the setting. Staff is extremely friendly and polite. The room is clean quiet and everything works. The hotel is very pet friendly and provides plenty of places to walk our dogs. We would definitely stay again.
Very nice stay for the price. Got the antique atmosphere! Beds are comfortable.
We stayed in a really nice King room and experienced wonderful hospitality during our visit.
Our Volleyball teams stayed at this hotel this past weekend while attending a tournament. The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. We needed early breakfast times, but had to push to make this happen. In addition, we had issues with dirty rooms, loud plumbing, and one room had broken glass that was never completely cleaned up.
My fiancee and I stayed from Friday to Sunday, easy to get to the hotel, good breakfast, very cozy environment with friendly staff, could us a few updates or fixes but worth the stay and I would definitely stay here again.
I highly recommend NOT staying here! The rooms are dirty and the way that the bathtubs are made you can easily trip and fall. Basically the best thing about this hotel is the free WiFi.
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was great and the area was awesome! The Fireside Tavern restaurant next door is also really good.
Clean King room, affordable, scenic view, decent breakfast (but very cramped breakfast bar), would recommend.
Great place
Clean Rooms
Just 10 mins from Dutch Wonderland, spent a wonderful night here, swam in the pool and had a great breakfast. Very friendly desk staff.
Top insider tip. We paid just under $ 5 for 3 including breakfast. Super. Americans are everywhere, top restaurant next door. Pool and coffee for free.
Great place to stay if you want to visit Amish country.
Older building but clean and cozy. Free breakfast had alot of options that were good. Pet friendly rooms were gr8!
Unexpected, we had a huge room with parquet, even a good breakfast for motel standards. It is surrounded by greenery just outside Strasbourg
I purchased this hotel through priceline and was very disappointed. The shower hadnt been cleaned and was full of hair and mold. The carpet hadnt been swept and was littered in nail clippings. The bed had a blood stain on the covers. I complained and was given another room that was better but still wasnt very clean. Woke at 1 am to people screaming in the hallway. Was not a pleasant stay.
This location needs maintenance. Our first room didn't have working wifi after hours of working with the front desk and the number they told me to call. I request a solution to the wifi problem or I would check out.
They moved us to another room with working wifi, but broken landline.
The breakfast is the best part of the hotel
This place is amazing! Definitely worth the stay! We are planning to return next year. The pool opens at 9 am. The breakfast was wonderful. Nice offering for everyone. Very pleasant staff. Nothing to complain of.
The grounds are well-kept but the rooms are in very bad shape. The first time we stayed here, we though we just happened to get a bad room. Not so, unfortunately. Our latest room had chunks of wood missing from the woodwork, very poor paint job including red paint painted over the jacuzzi tiles, a non-working fireplace, rug pulling up from near the walls, a lot of dust, cobwebs in light fixtures and no working fan in the bathroom (just for starters). We are never going back again and have already found a different hotel for our next visits.
If you come to Pennsylvania for any reason, business or pleasure, you must check out the Historic Clarion Inn Strasburg. The rates and service are phenomenal! There are great shops, activities, and tours all within walking distance or a moment's drive. The Strasburg Inn is rich with history. The rooms are very cozy and neat as a pin. The staff is amazing and will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is exceptional. With old world style and champion staff, your stay at Historic Clarion Inn Strasburg is sure to be charmingly remarkable!
Great breakfast, room was clean and comfy. Quiet, scenic location. We would stay there again.
Only dislike... Floor wasn't well vacuumed, hair pins on the floor in plain sight. Other than that , excellent stay.
We had a room by the building entrance, the door slammed shut all night. Ants in the room and on the bed, it was one a few but once you have one crawling on you you can feel them all night. The cars drivin by sounded like they were in the room. On the other hand beds were comfortable, location was convenient and the price was reasonable. Would choose someplace else and pay a little more next time.
Nice clean place but if you don't want steps ask for 1st floor
Have been here a few times. Now. Nice location. Nothing fancy but clean. Friendly staff.
For $50/night online booking (although the online booking fees are pretty steep) this place actually wasn't bad. Huge living space, nice showers, WiFi, great location.
The only other thing I would say is that the road entrance (if you're leaving) is kind of difficult to come out of since it's a blind turn into potential traffic.
Other than those two things it's a solid 4
9 out of 5.
Great night's stay, and with a great breakfast!! Not to mention the lower-than- average price!! We WILL be back!!
Stayed there 3 times and it is quiet and convenient to the popular sights. Breakfast is nice and staff is friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay for the price. Nice people and better than expected free breakfast. Good place for families. Incredible view and good place for buggy watching.
Great place to stay rooms are clean and close to everything pool was heated
Clean hotel. Great breakfast buffet. Good size rooms. Conveniently located.
Real nice I love the atmosphere it off the main strip ,very relaxing
Nothing special but a nice historic hotel. Close to most everything..
The main building was a little difficult get to and aside from it being an older hotel, it was a wonderful place. Rooms were spacious, atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were pleasant.
Very tired room. Didn't eat breakfast there as it just wasn't that good. Functional but disappointing.
Room itself nice. However bathroom was not so nice or clean
Nice comfortable place to stay.. felt more like a bedroom then a motel room..
