Hilton Oakland Airport Review

I was at HOA for a conference. The food provided by the hotel staff for the conference was very good, not something you can always say, and I'll single the desserts out for special praise. The grounds of the hotel are pleasant and well-maintained - I enjoyed strolling around the facility. And, while this may seem unimportant to some, if you're into Pokemon Go you can catch some really great stuff right on the hotel grounds. Best catch among many: 1045 CP Magnetron right outside the ballroom.

Great lunch,and a great place to hold a seminar. Parking was easy, and I'm handicapped.

Mini birthday getaway with my besties. For my 49th birthday. .not far from home but i seemed like iwas really far from home

Housekeeping could be improved but beautiful property. Friendly staff.

Room was outdated. Beds were full size, not queens. Light bulbs were out. For the short time we were there, it was ok. However, I wouldn't want to stay any longer.

Easily the worst Hilton hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything about this compares to an iffy 2 star hotel, except the price tag which is about $100/night more than it's worth. Only positive is the frequent shuttles to the airport. That's it. If you need a place to crash whenflying through Oakland, don't waste your $$$ here! Hope you like twin beds.

The hotel looks like it's overdone for a remodel, but clean. The front lobby is horrible and uninviting so I was happy that they've upgraded to the digital key system.

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference for work. The hotel is a little older but it was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. The breakfast buffet was quick and easy and they even helped me put together a plate to go one morning. Restaurant in the evenings was just fine as far as food, and the service was great. I would stay here again for sure.

Attended New Years Eve Masquerade Ball & Dinner, Dancing, live band and a DJ in between. Ticket proceeds going to great causes. Stayed overnight at hotel. Organizations & people involved: 5 star!! Band & Dancers: Very Good. DJ: Excellent. Dinner: Not so fab/drab...Servers, bartenders very good. Hotel: Ok..comfortable enough. (Except, early for new years day; 9:30am knock on the door by maid service...and rediculous parking strangle-hold...weird...) Overall...Very nice way to ring in the New Year. FUN!

This Hilton is a bit dated, but it's a good place to stay if you want to be near the Oakland Airport.

I've been working at the Oakland airport temporarily, so this has been my home away from home. I take the shuttle bus every day both ways - the drivers are always so nice! There is a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. Really comfortable bed.

Staff was very nice. I don't know if it was because of a close grass fire but the carpet in the hallway must have been sprayed with some sort of freshner which made me dizzy and headache. I felt better in a couple hours with some fresh air.

Pretty average for a Hilton. Very prompt, free, shuttle service.

This is a wonderful bar and restaurant located near Oakland Airport. They show all the NFL games every Sunday along with most other sports. Real nice atmosphere and just a great place to watch a game and have some good grub

Bed and room was comfortable but I would recommend eating somewhere else. It took a really long time to get our food and it was average.

Perfect location and Raider place to stay the night before and even after a Raider game. The Tavern is a good spot to eat,drink and maybe see some players.

The hotel itself is nice. Modern rooms, lots of outlets. The bathrooms could use an upgrade and are a bit small but the water pressure is good. The lower review is for the staff at the bar. The bartender that helped us Saturday afternoon was incredibly rude. There was a slight misunderstanding with our bill and it was all downhill from there. I won't rant on and on about it (unless hotel mgmnt wants to reach out for details) but I definitely left the bar wondering how that bartender still has a job. Check in and out were smooth and fast. The rest of the staff was very friendly.

Since the last time i came here they introduced a upgrade fee for the warm breakfast, as eggs and sausage and so on.. Even as a Diamond Member you have to pay it. Ridiculious.. My colleague and i visit the area quite regular but this might be the last time we stay here.. Breakfast at all is just too expensive (breakfast plus upgrade to bacon and eggs is 27$)

Room was clean service was good. They let me change my room to a room higher up which was great because all the new years revellers we on the first floor. I have an extra star for that convenience

Wish there was a restaurant open 24 hours. Arrived late and leaving early and only bending machine open.

Saw the California Audio show here, it was a good venue. the rooms were nicely furnished and we'll decorated, and it was close to the airport.

We go once a year for the Califoria audio show, we arrived with reservation paid and did not have room! We had to sleep on the floor and they did not return the money.

We asked for packages to arrive at the hotel, the staff always denied their arrival, when the package indicated the one received by the hotel staff.

THEY STEALED us and do not want to respond.

It's a nice hotel on the outside, the rooms are clean but the beds are nowhere near to queen size which is what I had booked for they were more closely sized to a full. Watch your bill at the bar especially when it's busy. The bartender tried to sell us 3 red bulls when we only needed one for our drinks. When we asked her to take to off she said she couldn't because it was already rung up. I had to ask her twice before she removed them from the bill. Overall an OK stay.

Customer service and all staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms bathrooms outdated and a bit dirty. But beds and pillows were excellent. But very loud pipes. Pick your preferences.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. Elevator was not working.

I was sent here for a work conference and I have no complaints whatsoever. The hotel staff was really nice and accommodating. There happened to be an Oakland game going on that same weekend I was there and the hotel staff offered a free shuttle to take us to the game, even though we didn t have tickets and didn t take them up on this opportunity, but it was really nice that they offered. I would stay here again.

Clean rooms, lots of parking, heated pool. It is located right off of 880 outside the Oakland airport.

The staff has been with the hotel for many years and always do a great job resolving any problems and providing for our needs

Good hotel, little old. Good sized gym but in a weird spot on a bridge. Causes the main equipment to not fit and they took out the support crossbar to make it fit.

Very good the disponibility of pool, wifi and breakfast. Very good the parking and the position in Oakland, near the airport.

The breakfast is amazing! The room are spacious even if the bed are not king size.

Arrived at 10 pm and tired. Check-in took a long time. I was precharged $100 for possible incidentals without explanation. I felt like they expected me to snub their towels or pictures. Receptionist sent us in the wrong direction to find our room. Cleaning staff made one bed but not the other. Also, unless you are a honors member, you pay $13 for parking in the hotel parking lot, $3 for a water bottle and also for wifi. This is the first time I have ever been charged for wifi or parking in their lot. Last time I stayed there..

Was there attending an audio show. Building was nice enough.

A comfortable bed for sure. Service and Patricia at the front desk in particular are great.
Unfortunately, the rest of the property is lacking for a full-service Hilton. I've stayed at HGI and Hampton locations much more up-to-date. The bathroom is cramped, with the door barely clearing the counter and toilet. I'm not sure if the shower tub/liner was yellowed from age or installed when that was fashionable. I appreciate Patricia's upgrading my room but was a little deflated when I saw the great DRIVEWAY access. The breakfast restaurant was pretty tired as well. I mentioned good service and appreciate the server taking my order for an omelette but was surprised the standard cook-to-order station was unmanned at 7. Overall, the location was not "bad" but left much to be desired - especially for my $200 corporate rate and even moreso if you're considering paying close to $400 as was quoted to my coworker.

I attended a 3 day professional event and was happy to find out that it was a local business, utilizing this Hotels meeting space. Although there's only one walking restaurant outside of the hotel restaurant, you're still close by tons of eating places and gas stations within a five minute drive. The outside space and meeting room was accessible and nice, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was my first time attending Oakland for a business event and I'm glad I came.

Great rooms, common areas, and location. Easy access to most of the events around Oakland with many free or reasonably-costing amenities. Raider fans will feel right at home since it is close to the infamous Raiders bar with Freddy manning it every night before a big game.

The hotel is rather dated, but probably better than most places nearby. The food in the bar is great, though.

This hotel is older and in need of updates. I didn't like that there was not free wifi in the rooms or a free breakfast. For $160 a night that should be included

Friendly staff. There is a walking path along the water that is very relaxing to wander on.

I was there for a work conference. The service we received was good and the lunch we had there was very good. The waiter was a very sweet gentleman who truly cared about his guests.

Nice hotel. Big room, but small bathroom. Hideous yellow tub. Other than that was really happy with my stay.

I spend 2 nights each week in hotels and this nasty building needs to be torn down. The ceilings have mold and the vents have mold! The room smells disgusting and the bathroom is just like a urinal. Took pictures to send to my company as I am never coming back here! Wish I could give this a negative rating.

Excellent bed, very comfortable... Diamond sports bar, terrible wait for happy hour food over 1.5hr wait for appetizers.

Hotel layout is confusing. It consists of multiple towers, and the front desk staff didn't offer help when we got our keys, and we had to return and ask. Beds were comfortable, but bathroom was a little dated.

Is a bit older and built in the famous Alcatraz style :)
If you want to live reasonably cheaply in SF, this is an alternative. However, the way over the Baybridge in the morning is a challenge.

Lovely service and staff, brilliant and ambitious attitudes, prompt service and delicious food!
