We picked a beach front 2 queen bed room and as soon as we entered they already put us in the wrong room which was kinda annoying.Then they said we have to pay for parking which it did not say on hotel.com.Not only they false advertise you have to pay for parking even if you don't have a car. Horrible experience never again.
There were ants in the room the entire three days we were there. The maintenance waited a whole day to bring ant traps. The place was also dirty and dusty. Renovations are needed as the place just doesn't measure up to the Hampton Inns and Spring Hill Suites that we normally stay in. I would never spend the money to stay there again despite the beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico.

Front desk staff was friendly and attentive. You have great views from the beach side of the hotel. The room was big, nice, beautiful and clean. Bed was soft and comfortable. Would definitely return for a stay.

We loved our visit to the Holiday In. Sarasota-Lido Beach. BJ the manager working that shift was awesome! He made us feel like VIP. We had a great day at the pool and beach. Very kid friendly also, I believe kids eat at the restaurant for free there!

We really enjoyed the hotel. We were in the Gulf side & had wonderful views every morning. We also had a fantastic breakfast in the restaurant one morning as well. It s not complimentary, but nonetheless was excellent!

Ok hotel, run of the mill kind of affair. A lot of money for one night stay over the weekend. A few issues with the booking but they where very helpful with sorting them out. It's really a top spot for the beach as it's only a sort walk over the road because that's what you're really there for.

Nice staff, clean and updated rooms and lobby. Right across the street from the beach. Nice size swimming pool with indoor and outdoor bars. Nice views from restaurant on top floor with floor to ceiling windows. St. Armands is a quick 5 minute walk. Overall, a nice hotel. We've stayed here several times and always enjoy our stays.

Not the usual Holiday Inn quality. The building is old, bathrooms don't have fans, no digital TV programming,, but, yes, it is located right on the beach

Very friendly staff and very helpful. The food at their bar/restaurant we're decent, nothing to fantastic. Great amenities; laundry is free and they provide Tide soap. The pool and location to the beach are very nice. We would definitely return to this exact location if we visit again.
they have a beautiful beautiful dining room overlooking the water but are only using it for Saturday and Sunday breakfast right now. so if you want to eat there otherwise they have a little for table area with cold sandwiches I was not impressed

Not a great stay. I just need to recognize debbie....the server/bartender. Amazing lovely woman and Donna the upstairs waitress. Both very helpful and friendly women. Other than that I have nothing really to say. No housekeeping at the moment so be prepared to clean your own room. Was not a very clean or comfortable environment. Would not stay again. Very pricey . But, that's what you get for staying on beach I guess. Just very disappointed since all the other reviews were great.

We were frozen from our motorcycle ride. I was so glad to be in a warm space. I had no issues with the room. The wait staff on other hand wasn't real keen on making a pot of coffee for our meal. Three meals came out together, I walked into the kitchen to inquire about the fourth meal since it had not arrived by the time three of us had finished eating. Found the chef goofing off with one of the cute staff members. Food was good but disappointing to leave one person at the table without a meal. Very unprofessional on the chef's part

The pictures on the website are not what you get. The hotel had a ton of roaches. We had pubic hair stuck all over the shower wall from the previous guest. We had cut toenails on the floor and a lot of dust in the room. This is by far the nastiest hotel of Holiday Inn that I have ever stayed in. I would not recommend this location based off of the how dirty it was.

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I booked a weekend trip for my birthday and we were going to stay at the sandcastle resort. Our air in our bedroom did not work so by 10:30 at night we finally requested a refund after talking to them about it all day. We then showed up to the holiday inn and met Sonja! She was soo welcoming and so hospitable. She completely turned our trip around and made the end of my birthday great. She gave us both a free breakfast for a morning of our choice. She even called and checked how our air was once we got settled in. I highly recommend staying here and talking to Sonja!
This hotel was really nice at one time but now it s just an old outdated hotel. I ve been coming here for the last 8 years and now I m seeing that the hotel isn t really keeping up with the upkeep. The bathrooms are old and need to be updated. The location of the hotel is what keeps the hotel going. This was nice at one time but now it s just holding on because of the location. The staff also seemed to be bored and over it.
Aged hotel in a perfect location. The gulf views out of most rooms and the restaurant up top are spectacular. Beach is across the street.

You really can't go wrong with this hotel. The location is great. The view of the Gulf and watching wild dolphins at play is extremely beautiful especially from the restaurant. The staff is friendly, professional and accommodating.
We spend a weekend in Holiday Inn Sarasota. Staff were very pleasant and room was very clean. The best part of the hotels is being walking distance from main strip. This walk helps you digest your dinner and arrive your room comfortably. The beach is cross the street. I have to mention that I enjoyed their coffee but I would suggest eat breakfast outside. We didn't try their lunch or dinner but I took a look at their buffulo wings looked and smelled great and person who was eating it was enjoying by the pool side bar. Breakfast room has great view. Unfortunately their Wi-Fi needs to be much more stronger.
Clean room. Friendly staff. A/C nees help. Room gets close to comfortable. Restaurant for breakfast is good, but hot. Saw the thermostat set to 72, actual temp is 80 at 10am...
Was there meeting friends for wedding. Had drinks, service was great. Rooms were nice as the wedding party was getting ready.
Wonderful location, clean rooms, great food!! The housekeeping staff is friendly. My only complaint is that the outside smoking area is under the balconies of the beach view guests who pay more for the view... it needs to be moved somewhere else!! Everyone was very friendly!!! Will definitely be back

Thank you to the front desk staff for making my first stay at the Lido Beach Holiday Inn a great experience. First, they upgraded my room to a Suite on the TOP FLOOR!
Then, gave me a birthday card with a free dessert. And to top it all off, a card for free breakfast. The breakfast Buffett was fresh and plentiful. Wait staff were extremely friendly.
My visit was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. Thank Holiday Inn for the wonderful memories. I will be back....!!!

My wife and our 18 mo. old daughter just had a one night stay-cation here and it was great! We went to dinner just down the road, got a good night's sleep, and then we got a great breakfast on the 7th floor. The best part was being able to walk to the beach and find a spot in 2 minutes. The staff was very friendly. Thank you Paul for making this a memorable stay!
It s only good and convenient for the location ... the security guard at night was super stalker-ish , kept following my bf and me everywhere, and stayed in any area that we stayed and then if we moved he would do the same... also the hotel staff isn t inviting or complacent. When I called to reserve the lady was rude and condescending, made me feel like if I was dumb and cut me off every time I was trying to ask the ONE question.. also the rooms were not cleaned nicely (bath tub specifically) and the BR was small. The air conditioning cover was falling off and overall it wasn t the best of experiences... just go to INDIGO HOTEL if you re an IHG member or not! It s the best staff, beautiful hotel and overall a pleasant experience, felt like home!

Overall the experience was pleasant. Room was clean and pool was very nice. Coming from a state where masks aren t enforced, My mom and I sometimes forgot to wear our masks in the lobby area. Paul was NOT so friendly in reminding us to put our masks on & gave extreme attitude. That s no way to treat your guests. We chose this hotel because we thought there was complimentary shuttle service and use of beach chairs (as listed on website) and both are no longer due to covid. Daily room cleaning was also something they don t offer due to covid. Rooms were only cleaned after you check out. We didn t catch their names but the couple ladies that helped us at front desk were very friendly and more than willing to help us with whatever our needs were. Thank you :)
Nice hotel with nice space in room. The bar downstairs was nice but too expensive. The pool is a good size but lacks in deck space.
We paid extra for the gulf view, and gorgeous it was. But, the room itself (specifically the bathroom) was old and dirty. Kind of reminded me of a cheap motel. Our room was equipped with dirty light switches, grout lines and furniture with grooves that's been collecting dust and crumbs for years. My daughter was first to use the bathroom and said there was pee on the toilet seat! Will not be staying here again. Overpriced for it's old accomodations.
