Pretty high priced rooms for what you get but the location is great. Walking distance from a large amount of shops and restaurants. They have a good happy hour deal for drinks. You don t have to pay the resort fee if you stay using points! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Michael at the restaurant on the top floor.

Not Happy! Paid almost 300 dollars a room was promised two rooms next door to each other and was placed at the end of each hall. the ceiling was crumbing in the bath room and there was no plugs in the room except for the spike bar under the night stand.
check in consisted of some woman yelling at my husband about I cannot speak to you until you give me your ID, security guard almost ran us over coming out of the elevator and let the door close as we walked up. I have spent the last two summers at the Holiday Inn at Lido Beach, but this will be the last time I spend it at your Hotel. Rude employees, horrible service, and a down right horrible place for the money you pay. The View was the best thing about the whole experence, something the Holiday Inn Lido Beach has nothing to do with.

The hotel has transportation to the shopping/restaurant circle. The pool was nice and clean. The food was also good, and the rooms were clean.
They charge a mandatory $20ish fee for a resort fee. So be prepared for that. Take advantage of the coffee and snack bar, it's usually stocked in the afternoon. If you can ask the sweet lady in the front if she can give you a beachside room. Because at this price point, nothing beats it.
I was able to view their Sand Dollar restaurant and the Sarasota room. The view in each was spectacular. Floor to ceiling windows make the overall feel of the room as if you're right on the water. When I found out the restaurant can hold up to 140 people, I knew it would be a great place to hold an event or wedding. Each room can also be modified with a dance floor depending on the amount of guests.

We had the Gulf View room. We wanted to relax in the morning and watch the waves and hear the ocean. Unfortunately all we had were the sounds of the AC unit, the sounds of traffic and the sound of ice machine. It was a clean room. Very nice what you would expect. Another comment I'd like to make is that there was no food service available. Even though the ad said there was breakfast available you only have muffin and orange juice and coffee. I probably won't come back.
Service is spectacular. All employees greet you as a if you are their favorite return guest. This is as it should be at all IHG properties.
We love this hotel our home away from home. Friendly Staff, nice clean rooms, quite excellent restaurant. Across the street from the beach and rooms have balconies also within walking distance of St. Armand's Circle.
I could not sleep due to the strong carpet odor in the room. Not all the floors have this moldy smell so if you smell it, change rooms immediately or you may regret it. Food was aweful. Tried three dinner dishes on the 7th floor, overpriced and bad. Breakfast was fine though, kids under 12 eat free, free snacks, coffee, and water at the lobby. Free laundry and the view from the restaurant on the 7th floor is great, hence the three stars.
The view is amazing, we had an ocean view but the city view from what we could tell was nice as well. Room service was fast and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again.
The beds are rock hard. Other than that, this place is decent, and breakfast buffet is $10 all you can eat beautiful view of the beach. Now if only it had a hot tub or made the heated pool more warm. But it's pretty warm.
There's a safe you can create a password for, which I recommend. Dunno if earphones were stolen, but I have an inkling I lost them.
After spending summers in Lido Key as a child during which we stayed in this hotel I decided to come back recently. This was the best, most affordable hotel right on the beach that I was able to find, and we had an enjoyable time. It would ve been a little better to not have to cross the street to get to the beach, but it s definitely close enough. The room and bathroom met my expectations, and though the bathroom appliances were a little dated, everything was clean and in good condition. I d definitely come back.
My husband and I had a good weekend in this area! Hotel was very clean, staff extremely accommodating, and all of the proper practices are definitely in place for the health protocol these days.
Breakfast was fabulous as well as the wait staff. Shout out to Kayla, Paul, and Sonja at the desk as they were really helpful when we had an issue with our room and they handled it with proficient and professional care. It will definitely be staying there again now that we know this place is fantastic.
Right on the Gulf...nice view...highly recommended. Awesome view from resturant on 7th floor. All new chef and menu. Awesome food...Very good prices. Had dinner and breakfast here. Had the filet mignon for dinner and skillet for breakfast...Top Notch.

The view is lovely from the ocean side rooms... Add $50 to the bill for a room like that. But then you begin to notice the cheapness of the room. The horrid AC that is wonderful when its on, creating a soothing quiet whooshing of air to sleep with... Then it shuts off 15 minutes later and the complete silence wakes you right up. And no, there is no setting to keep the fan on all the time. (So stupid)
I kept seeing everything that is wrong. Like the door lock bar with a missing pin. (See photo) And the fact that in 2017 there is no technology upgrades to the room at all. I stayed in cheaper hotels with USB outlets built all over the room. Its the little things that a hotel owner does that makes you happy with your experience.
And then there is the mold all over the edges of the walls. Every few feet all around the room. For $250 a night this hotel can't afford a proper dehumidification system for all the rooms? Nope. The only air quality control is the AC unit that has a fan that shuts off... While you are sleeping. Grrr. The Ritz is 1 mile away and is $50 more. Headed there now.
Went to a formal affair Saturday January 12, 2019 in the ballroom on the top floor. They did not cool down the room before we arrived and it was 74 degrees with everyone in tuxedoe's and 3 piece suits. Everyone was complaing it was to warm. It was so warm we could not dance and we had to leave half way through the affair. It was in the 60's outside so the room should have been cooler for us. $65 per person, the food was mediocre, at best. We were suppose to have beef tendelion medallions, we got leftover roast beef tips in a wine sauce. Eggplant parm was lousy, slices off eggplant with an inch of mozzarella cheese on top that was not melted. Penne pasta that was cooked and held in the warmer for hours ahead of time and absorbad all of the sauce so it was dry. Servers were nice and friendly. I would not reccomend anyone having an affair in this Holiday Inn.

Second visit, second review, incredible both times! I travel all over the North American and Canada and stay at many IHG hotels. This hotel is by far one of my favorites. Staff is very kind and helpful! Room views are spectacular! Beach access and pool are amazing!

Across the street from the beach. You can sit in the elevated lobby area and see the water. The surrounding town area has great shops and places to eat.

Truly it was a great experience, the room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The location was very good because it was near the airport as well as the beach and college I was moving into.
Nice clean room, great view of St Armand's Circle. Close to nice shops and great restaurants. Also a fairly easy walk to Plymouth Harbor.
It was our first visit and stay at Sarasota Beach. Nice clean sand, clear blue, see to the bottom water. And shallow. Holiday Inn was nice too. We got the beach front room. 3rd floor. Not too bad but I think 4th and higher would have been a better view. But still a Great stay. I Highly Recommend.
Nice property, beach across the street. Pool area is nice, quality towels at pool. Bar service at pool is poor, long wait for bartenders and drinks are average. Room attendants are very polite. Wi-Fi is terrible.

The rooms are a little dated, but the location makes up for it 100 fold. You will not be doing anything other than sleeping in this room. The hotel is great. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good resturant and bar onsite. Free Beach...across the street. Walking distance to what I would call Rodeo Drive of the area...great restaurants and shopping.
Place looks normal but the inside is completely renewed. Fron Desk not ver sharming people and not very informative we lost our brunch on sunday cause they had some event for mother's day and was not spreaded very well I ended up at the Blue Dolphin (Excellent breafast).

The hotel is charming. And even more if your room is overlooking the gulf, my wife and I stayed one day to rest, which was not very pleasant. We put the do not disturb label to rest after many hours of road. But there were people knocking on the door, trying to open and calling on the phone just to change the lock. which they did not inform us what they would do. So many annoyances that he did not allow us at the hotel. I would recommend asking if they have remodeling.
The room stank like air freshener, and there was a rotten smell that I assume the air freshener was sprayed to cover.
The WORST option if you don't want your money stolen! After making a reservation online, and having paid more to obtain free cancellation or change of reservation, this hotel stopped making the reservation change, and never sent me emails with the confirmation of the change, having previously asked me to send it to me , and calling up to 3 times to confirm the change of reservation and request again and again that please send me the reservation by email. They never sent it to me, and when I'm going to call to cancel or move my reserved date they tell me that nobody made the reservation and that nobody is responsible! The reserve department is the worst potion, and they are not responsible for their lack of work and seriousness! This hotel stole my money! I do not recommend it
Still under renovations. When booked, it said finished in January and we visited halfway through February. Bugs where smeared on the ceiling of our room. No washrooms near the pool, and had to go to the 7th floor. Overall just not impressed, the hotel staff were very nice other than the cleaning ladies who were rude. The beach across the street is nice.

With a beautiful view of the shore of Lido Beach, Clean and Modern Styled rooms, and nice staff, this hotel is a very nice place to stay. While visiting, I really enjoyed the friendly aura sent off by almost everything I saw. It had a magnificent pool, and a great bar outside (awesome cheese fries!) I would definitely recommend coming to the beautiful Sarasota, AND staying in this hotel.

Good hotel. Downside is not having breakfast and the parking lot has a fee to pay even if it includes washing clothes and water. Advantage for longer stays.

The Holiday Inn Lido Beach deserves a Five Star rating! The location of the hotel is excellent but the staff is what made our stay so enjoyable. The service was excellent and all of our interactions with the staff were positive including housekeeping, restaurant staff, front desk and especially BJ from Management who went above and beyond. Thank you! We will definitely stay again in the future.
Comfortable beds, quiet, and clean with awesome access to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the circle. Was a little disappointed with the showers (did not drain well) and the TV was a bit sad, but overall couldn't really complain.
Great location, friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food and drinks! Rooms are spacious with many outlets that are easy to access in the night stands and tables. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
The staff was friendly and hospitable - I appreciated the way we were first greeted. The personal attention shown to us by Sonja on check-in made us feel welcomed. Also, she outlined some of the safety precautions being taken which made us feel at ease during this time. She also was able to put us in a room that was secluded from other guests which made our stay quite memorable. Since there was limited food service we didn't get to experience the restaurant on the top floor. However, you would do well to stay away from the pastries offered during breakfast - just not worth it. There are plenty of nice options within walking distance anyway. The Holiday Inn is so conveniently located that in about 8 minutes you can find a nice place to eat or shop around Armand circle. Simply put - this is the best place to stay in Lido key for your money.
Building is old, clean but had noisy air conditioning units, musty odors, but nice and worth the cost.
A fantastic location for our 33rd Annual Sun Coast Jaguar Club Concour d'Elegance Awards Banquet. Beautiful views of downtown Sarasota and the beach from the top floor. The staff provided superb service and the food was excellent! Thank you Holiday Inn!

It is now almost 2am and we changed rooms AGAIN because we found TWO more roaches in the other room on the second floor and there was a dirty crusty wash towel left on the shower rod. And we no longer have the ocean view, which is the main reason I booked this hotel was the view!! Just completely ruined our trip very disappointing
We're still here for 3 more nights, so I might have more to say but so far it's been lovely! Everything was quite clean. Had to request a microwave and there wasn't really a good spot to put it, and the fridge is in a closed cabinet so the heat the unit puts out kind of negates the cooling power. But not a big deal. Proximity to the beach is fantastic and our balcony is a wonderful place to relax to begin and end our days. Everyone has been friendly. Pool is great. Bar is great.
