Hilton Hotel Kalastajatorppa Review

A bit dated but somehow cool Cold War feeling with all that history of conferences and summits.

Get a room with huge windows and sea view and enjoy just hanging out in your room.

Conference hotel in a relatively remote location in Helsinki. Lots of history. Service is on expected level, services cover the basics. At fairly accessible distance to/fro city centre. Nice view.

Good Hotel in a very green area surrounded by nature. Easy to get to the city center with the tram that is a few steps away.
High prices, friendly and helpful staff.

Clean room, not very fancy or tasteful, but a shower with the power of a firehose (very useful to cool down overheated family members :)), and a huge television.

The hotel is quite far from the city center. The surroundings of the hotel didn't impress me. But the rooms are clean and the restaurant overlooks the beautiful lake (sea bay)

Location is a bit off. Prices at the hotel are way too expensive. Pillows are outright awful. Bed comfortable otherwise. Good size room with a nice bathroom.

The breeze of past decades, whether on purpose or otherwise, is just the last millennium. Washrooms subject to review. Staff very friendly.

For a bit this was a disappointment in this historic place, maybe too high expectations. The location is great, of course. In the old part of the women's restrooms, one did not rinse properly and together there was a toilet seat off. When the place tries to maintain the image of a high quality and finer hotel, more would be expected.

The seaside room was really cold, had to ask for a radiator, had to be asked separately, bath robes for the sauna, and some other bathroom items. The duvets were not duvets, as the ad said, there were additional pillows, so one had to ask for something all the time. there was a beautiful view from the window and the environment of the hotel. The sauna was disappointing, the old worn out furniture in the rest room, the interior was sneaky looking.
Breakfast is a generous good, the staff friendly, professional.
In my opinion, wrong to use the name of Hilton, all Hilton hotels, also in Hakaniemi and in different countries, where I have visited, this Hiltttonia not even be able to put on the same footing.

Great rooms, well worth the money. Breakfast awesome. The sauna department needs a little development, somehow tricky with the key card.

Excellent stay in a hotel equipped with every comfort: the staff is very professional and attentive to every request. The location is very quiet and relaxing as it is in a natural park on the sea, the abundant breakfast - sweet and savory - satisfies every taste, need and habit.

Well yeah, if this is one of the top places in the country, then you might have to go to other parts of Europe to see how it's done there. The location in nature is the only plus.

Good place to stay with great view to sea. Bring shoes for walks in the surrounding areas. And pay a visit at the restaurant at sea level in front of the hotel.

If you use a tram, it's right from the center!
It was clean and the bed was comfortable and very relaxing. The scenery from the rooms is also one of the attractions of this hotel! The staff was very kind! Helped me with Wifi connection! Very kind and impressed (' `)

Christmas lunch was tasty. The boxes were a bit too weird. The scenery from the restaurant is staggering.

Excellent service next to sea and tram line 4 to city is very close. Parking available also for free around the corner on public streets. Will visit again.

From the outside, the place is nice with very limited parking for free. Paid parking is available in the basement. Really? For a fee at Hilton?
The reception is nice with snobby but friendly service. The hallway to the rooms is dark and sad, the rooms are ok with big tv. You can see dust and dirty corners in several places in the room, therefore the cleaning is not satisfactory. Likewise, there was a wooden splinter on the floor under the radiator during the entire stay. Leaky bidet on toilet. The sheets were not changed despite the desire to do so. Smell of old wood in hallway and room. Of good things can be mentioned the breakfast which was a great and tasteful experience. Big plus for that. Unfortunately the staff at breakfast were not very friendly. Would I choose the same place again? No, not at that price. The name Hilton is very, very overrated. Can not be recommended.

Everything else was perfect as always, but it was really frustrating that they opened the breakfast room late and a bit messy. I hope that is not the new standard.

Terrible service from Christian at Front desk when requesting a slightly earlier check- in . Not a great experience at Hilton in Helsinki . I tried explaining we travelled all the way from Lapland and the kids were exhausted and if possible could he arrange for the room to be available . He was rude and quite abrupt about it . Being an avid Traveller I didn t expect this from a Hilton hotel .

Contemporary Hotel with decent facilities, set alongside the sea in a quiet area outside of Helsinki. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The view from my room was amazing, but the comfort of my stay was compromised as unfortunately the air conditioning was quite noisy with no way to stop it fully.

Good quality Hilton hotel. Personnel will bend backwards to accommodate you. Its a bit old though so you see some wear and tear in some places. Breakfast is fantastic.
