Highlights of the room itself include a comfy bed and great rain showerhead. The pool area is on the 6th floor (which affords great views of the beach) and includes 2 large hot tubs and lots of lounge chairs for sunbathing, as well as other seating areas. We had a fabulous meal at the S3 restaurant onsite. The real standout of the Hilton is the staff. Everyone we encountered -- the front desk staff, the concierge and bell staff, the waiters and waitresses at the bar -- was so personable, pleasant, and eager to help. Bellman Shane and concierge Vicki were especially helpful and informative during our stay. Bartender Carla took great care of us, even when we were cheering for our home football team against Miami!

The hotel is pretty average. Arrived and there were chips on the balcony from the former guest. The sea view balcony room overlooked construction next door. It was quite loud. I specifically asked the front desk for a quieter area and she stated "all our rooms our quiet..." That was false. Ice machine was broken on our floor also. One of the TVs in the room had loss of pixels in 2 areas which resulted in a two purple stripes in different areas of the set.

Abigale in events is AMAZING! She helped my brother, my sister in law and myself replan their wedding in just 5 weeks. Hurricane Irma destroyed their original venue and we needed to find a new one. Abigail went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for their special day! I thank her times a million!

Everything here was great except for an Indian manager at the restaurant at Sun Surf Sand who would not let us get a table until everyone in the party was there. We were only waiting on one other person and could not sit and order food. He ruined our night. I should give a 1 star except I don't want to be insincere to the others at this hotel who were absolutely excellent.

This is a resort!! I thought it was beautiful. Checked in 2 years ago and it was perfect. They had valet parking, a pool, a breakfast buffet, and incredible rooms! My bro and I slept in a large king sized bed while my dad slept on the pullout couch. The idea of two flat screen tvs are perfect. The bathroom was even better! The tub had jets on all sides and had free soap. the shower was a fair size but the water was a little cold. The breakfast buffet is the best. I stayed at the Sea Club Resort this year and it was okay but not as good as this place. We come back for spring break and I hope we stay at this palace. My only complaint is that they didn't have good kids shows.

During our week stay here, we hung around for the Air Show viewing from the hotel. I brought in my parents, who are elderly, and who rarely come to Ft Lauderdale's beach resort area. And for them, the staff was perfectly accommodating, by making special seating, with plenty of space AND the perfect view.

The hotel's service was great in general. But at poolside, Justin, Taylor, Chevaun and event manager Coery were exceptional! In my opinion, this is the best beach resort here in Ft Lauderdale!

For the price of ocean front rooms, the rooms was good. The service is poor, ordering room service has always in error, they even tried to influence me the dish i ordered was something else, when i was familiar with that dish, for example, i ordered an roasted chicken 1/2 entre, they brought up an palm size grilled chicken fillet, about the same as you would find in KFC, and this dish cost over $30.. The servers are lazy and try to scheme out of doing there job, front desk shh as don't want to be bothered when contacting them for information they didn't give you or mistakes they made.

Atrocious experience (May 7th through the May 9th nightmare)
505 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304

I was a Hilton fan until our recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. We were very displeased with the accommodations for the following reasons:

I reserved two king, two-bedroom ocean front view suite, however there was not much of a view (the view was of a dirt bowl).
The kitchen and the living areas were not clean. The bathrooms were dirty with mold around both bathtubs, and roaches crawled out of the kitchen drain into the sink.
Rooms were to be connected giving my daughters easy access to the kitchen and living areas however there was a lock on the connecting door. The hotel staff informed me that owner has the key (I was very surprised). I was also told that the rooms were condo s and Hilton partners with the owners which defeated the purpose of having a two-bedroom suite.
The night manager was gracious enough to move us to another room but the view was worse. The living area was dirty and the shower in my room did not drain. Mark, the manager of housekeeping, assured me that someone would clean the area while we were out. That unfortunately did not happen.
On the second day, my daughters and I attempted to enjoy the beach but was informed by the beach attendant that we could not utilized the chairs or towels. We showed the young man the voucher we had received from the hotel but was told it was not valid. We went back to the hotel and I spoke to a young man at the front desk, only to be informed that if we were outside of Hilton beach boundaries, the resort vouchers could not be used. He offered no resolution. (Really, the beach is under the parks and recreation department not to mention it was too crowded on Hilton s beach front ).

Overall, for the inconvenience, management only discounted one night s stay (I expected more for $400 plus per night) . Because our mini vacation was ruined, the entire stay should have been discounted.

Needless to say, we will never be back.

Excellent rooms, views, staff, amenities and especially security. Iasia Wilkins from security stopped by when I was in need and then checked up on me later in the evening to make sure I was all right and to see if I needed anything else. Unbelievably caring and good to have especially if you are traveling alone.

I used to love this place. Unfortunately However, this week I had to call three times to ask for the same thing for the room that they kept forgetting while servicing the room. Was looking forward to peace and quiet at the beach but the music (coming from the pool) was horrific and absolutely unbearably loud....they must be trying to make my head explode!!!

We stayed at the Hilton Ft Lauderdale last week.

We stayed at the Hilton Ft Lauderdale last week.

Pros: Hotel is near beach, hotel room is clean, staff is courteous and friendly

Cons: They charge you a $35 resort fee per day that includes 2 towels, 2 beach chairs and 2 water bottles per day. However, it is so dang hot in Florida you need an umbrella to survive that sun. They charge you $20 a day until 5pm for an umbrella! This should be included in the resort fee.
Next, although the hotel room is clean, the walls are super thin which causes you to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are saying/doing. We stayed on the 24th floor (total of 25 floors) and could hear our neighbors laughing, playing loud music and banging walls until all hours of the night.
Finally, We ordered room service which included 3 kids meals and a desert that came out to be $70! We could ve gone to a real restaurant for that price!
In conclusion, for the amount of money you pay for this hotel you can stay at the W next door.

Great location just across the street from the beach! Older building, but well maintained for the most part.
Two small jacuzzis and a decent size pool overlooking the Atlantic.
Staff is friendly and courteous.
For the newly-weds, being an older building the walls and even sliding glass doors are very thick!

Great location. Not all the staff members are in tune on giving great service, it all depends on who you happen deal with. You just need to keep asking for service until you get the right person that will attend to your needs. Cannot beat the location though! Hotel facility is on point and clean! Nice Pool!

Our stay was excellent! Edward, the concierge, was so accommodating and made us feel special. He went above and beyond. The gym was impressive as well as the pool's amazing view of the beach. Great location.

It was an okay stay, no over the top service. Suites are priced a bit high and we received the same type of service as staying at Embassy Suites the very first time we stayed in Fort Lauderdale.

Decided to take the kids on a short trip before school started and wanted to stay on the beach. We always chose Hilton. This one was truly the best ever. We had a wonderful time. All the staff front desk, cafe, housekeeping, security... were wonderful! They were kind, helpful, honest, and also had integrity. My husband left his watch and Ernesto from security called us and mailed it back. The women in the cafe made my daughter feel special. I can not say enough about the staff at this hotel. The hotel is clean and beautiful however the staff made this the best family trip we have had to date. Would absolutely recommend!

The property is right on the beach, but starting to show age. Beach yoga was terrific. Layout was confusing. Breakfast resturant is small and service was off on a busy weekday. Suite was very spacious and would be great for a family. I was caught off guard that the suite kitchen did not include dishes or utensils. I didn't find the property to be on the right Hilton level.
