Mould and rust in rooms dirty bathrooms really needs a revamp definitely not 5 star that they promote I have stayed in 3 star that is 100% better than this very disappointed

Rooms nice but a bit dated. Exec lounge not as good as other hotels visited in Australia. Nice location right next to GBR ferries.

Good stay! Everything you'd expect from a Hilton. I'd recommend skipping the buffet breakfast and going for a walk to a local cafe for more interesting food.

Great pool and amenities as well. Had to kill two huge cockroaches but I think it's expected for summer in FNQ so no big deal.

Only just checked in and the hotel is just normal ,nothing to rave about. Hope it gets better the longer I stay... day 2 - noticed urine stains on the (outter) toilet seat which I had to clean myself :urgh: breakfast at the restaurant is not nice at all. My entire family share this view and they're not fussy at all. Tried having dinner at the same ( hotel) restaurant but the service is appalling. One waiter to serve each table and he was like a dead man walking taking his own time to help. We just walked out of there. Hotel is close to the area to catch island boats, so that's a big plus. The staff are very friendly as well. Day 3 and same poor breakfast. Went out and came back after a few hours with rooms not cleaned up. Room service claimed that the "Do Not Disturb" thingy was on the door but we for sure did not put that on. We didn't mind this until the African lady cleaner came and she was so rude and complaining about things, directly at us. That was uncalled for and totally unacceptable. Day 4 , we were glad to check out and make our way to hotel and fly out of Cairns to Sydney.

Great clean rooms and very friendly staff. Close to many food options and the loading docks for the Great Barrier Reef.

Whenever I have a choice, I prefer to stay at the hotels from Hilton chain because you know what to expect from them. As soon as we arrived, we were helped with the bags, and our room got upgraded to the spa room with a beautiful view. We were also given free drink vouchers, which we, unfortunately, did not use. Wi-Fi was free (not sure whether it is for everyone or HHonors members), and the signal was good throughout the hotel. Breakfast was included in my rate, and it was very good with lots of options.
The bad: US-Australia electric adapters that I borrowed at the reception did not work at all; for some odd reason every day there were very long waits for the elevators.
Overall, I was happy with my stay.

I'm a fan. Make sure to get a room facing the water. The executive lounge is also a good bonus so make sure to add that to your hotel package. If so, you'll enjoy your stay at Hilton much more

Rooms need a serious renovation. View is the only thing going for the price you pay.

The location is good, and the view seen from the window is also good. Many Japanese staff can use it with peace of mind.
There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, and it was a pity that the unit bath would be broken when taking a shower.

Great location and very friendly staff. Love the room. Downs the parking was used by casino visitors as well. Lucky got the last spot on Saturday night when returned...

Service experience was great, room and executive lounge lovely. Views spectacular from the top floor and the Executive breakfast lounge.

Great & proffesional staff. I stayed there with my family for one week last Christmas and it was awesome. Very well located. Great rooms and swimming pools.

The location is very good as the cruise terminal to the great barrier reef is right next to it.
You can see the Kuranda National Park and the rooms are satisfactory. Breakfast was not satisfactory, so only 4 stars.
Dare compared to DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns, Hilton is far superior.

The location is the best. There is Japanese staff, and other staff are kind when there is not.

Very old, in need of refreshment, the only good thing I can say about it is the lovely pool. We moved to another hotel after 3 nights which was much nicer with free wi-fi in the room, even got a free upgrade to an executive king room on the top floor even though we only booked a basic room. Hilton not worth the money I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We have never had to pay for wi-fi in the room, even in cheaper hotels! And $12 for a glass of wine at the lobby bar!! Get real Hilton!!!!! Actually the worst hotel or apartment we have ever stayed at, extremely disappointed!!!! Don't waste your money, many better places to stay in Cairns and Northern Beaches.

Great ocean view, open-style hotel with decent rates. It's a 1-minute walk from the Casino and a 5-minute walk from the city centre. The staff here were all lovely.

The conference rooms at the Hilton Cairns are well equipped to cater for any type of business function, with suitably sized rooms available for any function. The staff and also very courteous and helpful.

Little bit of trouble with the in-house movies on demand, but staff worked hard to try and rectify it, and voided charges when it couldn't be resolved. Room was tidy and clean, room Service was efficient and with the ever friendly staff... We would definitely stay again. The kind of night we expected to have at a place bearing the Hilton name

Courteous and friendly staff, eager to please. Although slightly dated the rooms are clean and fresh with updated fittings. Value for money.

Nice location and love the pool . There is also a gym if you prefer indoor. Staff are very friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton,Sunrise Cafe delicious food and staff couldn't be better,house staff very friendly and informative, front of house were lovely. Very clean and comfortable and close to everything in Cairns so thank you Hilton for a wonderful stay, I would highly recommend saying at the Hilton Cairns

Good Central location close to the marina where a lot of tours go from.

Clean and comfortable room, 2 of my most basic needs. Nice view from my room, elegant layout. I had a wonderful time!

The room is clean, the washing supplies are cherished, and the breakfast paid by the member is a continental breakfast. If you want to eat hot food (scrambled eggs, hash browns, etc.), you need to increase the price. Everyone in the impression is 5~10 yuan, not expensive. . Good location, lots of dining and shopping options nearby.

This was the second time I had been to a conference here and again it was a great experience

The staff were great ,The room tiny not comfortable far too small

Nice room and nice view but the hotel is very boring. The lobby bar is closed because it's so dead.

Location is near the cruise port and within 5 min walk from all the shops. It is right next to the casino if you want some action.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn prior on our 3 weeks holiday and seems like Hilton does not live up to its name. At check out, I had to present my credit card again. No option for express check out even the app says check in online and check out online. The front desk lady said my visa was declined but there has been an authorization already on our card for $1000 and our stay was only $792. She then tried again and asked me for the pin (no wonder didnt work the first time right?) I logged in my account and now my card is authorized for $1000 and charged $808 (including the credit card surcharge). This is terrible practice as it could effect some travellers available funds.

Location is great as it's on the boardwalk and a could minutes from the marina and main tourist street (Food, Souvenirs, and Tour Booking. I can imagine it being one of the best hotels in Case which is why I was disappointed by the abysmal Wi-Fi and lack of working lighting at the pool areas after sunset.

I visited Mondos which is their outdoor bar overlooking the water. Boats sail past, the mountains covered in jungle are on the otherside. At about 6pm it's beautiful. Schooner of XXXX Gold $7. Nice place.

Best 70th birthday I've had with my wife at this resort could not fault anyone , all very helpful n can't wait to go back again , so close to every thing n rate it 11 out of 10... Great place... . From checking to checking out , all the staff in between that helped us deserve plenty of praise

Lovely place to spend few days I awesome Cairns...

Use for summer family trips. I stayed on the executive floor, but had the room changed on the first day due to a security box failure.

The changed room also has problems such as refrigerator failure, alarm clock failure, TV disappearing occasionally. To put it in just a few hours, I put my wallet in the security box and was caught on the go and my card information was stolen. It was only at that time that I removed my wallet from my hand, and only credit cards that had been stored in other places were used illegally. Although it was fraudulent use in Japanese yen totaling about 3 million yen, the card company noticed and contacted me, so I was able to respond immediately and this payment was zero. I don't usually use online shopping, so I suddenly went shopping for hundreds of thousands of online shopping.

According to the card company, it seems that they used an online shop from within Australia via a Singapore server. The local Japanese told me that the owner of Hilton Cairns had changed to Singapore a few years ago before the card fraud was used, so it was a complicated feeling. I remember that was very big.

By the way, the hotel that says betting place in front of Hilton Cairns is also the same owner. So when I told the front desk that I wanted to change money, I was told to change money at the casino.

It was an ordinary hotel except for unauthorized use of cards. The travel agency's catalog says Elegant moments , but it's not the elegance and nothing but the business hotel level in Japan.

room is spacious, but the service is bad very bad. From front counter to room service, the staffs are very rude. The room interior also very old. At the end is Hilton, very disappointing stay

Clean hotel, decent gym. Nice views. It's older but so are all the other hotels in Cairns.

Booked 45minutes prior to arriving. It was my birthday weekend. They gave us free valet parking, a complimentary bottle of champagne and upgraded our room. They went above and beyond with such short notice. Would definitely stay again

Been a couple of times now, very hit and miss with gin social some times busy some times dead. Closes at 9pm so keep that in mind. Good drinks and not too expensive.

There were a lot of Japanese staff, I was very relieved and everyone was comfortable with good people!

Stayed one night before an early flight. Good sized rooms, friendly staff and two great little restaurants. Fabulous time at the bar. Only thing to watch out for is that the Jacuzzi will tarnish silver jewellery (and possibly gold!!) and made my swimming costume's colours run - never seen anything like it!

Attended a wedding reception here at the Hilton. The service was great throughout the night. The reception was outdoors on the patio overlooking beautiful scenery. Really enjoyed the catered appetizers as well - especially the calamari!

First time in Premier suite, best bucks party of my life!

In the heart of it all while remaining nice and quiet. Hotel was clean. Rooms are nice and spacious. Balcony was great. AC goes off when balcony doors are opened. Beds are comfy, wish they had a sheet along with the comforter. Within walking distance of many, many eating places and shopping. The night market is open from 4pm to 11. Found some great souvenir deals. Gary at the concierge desk was a gem in helping me with everywhere I needed to go. All staff was super nice. I would definitely stay here again

Foods alright. Building and facilities are also pretty nice and clean can't speak much about staying there though.

Staff at reception welcoming and efficient. Cannot say the same for the breakfast experience. Booked for 8am waited 20 minutes to be seated after further 20 minutes had to approach waiter to take order. Meal came 55 minutes after arriving.

Whist the view was lovely and the location was fantastic, that is probably all this place had going for it. The room we had on the 8th floor was a king spa suite. The spa only fits in one person, so straight up my partner and i were disappointed. The room was tired and worn looking and not what you would expect at a Hilton hotel. We asked for our room to be serviced and the toilet cleaned. They did not clean the toilet. They took our bath mat, hand towels and face washers and forgot to give us replacements. They left us with dirty towels. The PowerPoint casing fell off when I tried to plug the iron in (pretty dodgy) and there was a cockroach!

I had a word to the man at reception and admittedly he was great about everything. They did send us an apology note with wine and chocolates. But it seems that's just the standard response to everyone when they complain. I think this place is only surviving on its reputation as a Hilton hotel and because of the views. They really need to step up their game as they really aren't up to standard. Will give the Hilton Cairns a miss next time and book somewhere else. Disappointing to say the least.

Beautiful waterfront hotel in Cairns that can arrange trip excursions.

"The staff who can speak Japanese was resident", but there was not one person for six days of stay.
The housekeeper's work was not so bad, it was a little disappointing Hilton.
