Breakfast buffet was decent. Service was excellent. The guy who served me went above and beyond - really looked after us. Thanks!

The staff were also kind and comfortable. It was good that it was quiet. Some people can speak Japanese.
The nights we stayed here it was great and we had the chance to see the most wonderful lightning show it was amazing with our views on the corner we witnessed it and it was so spectacular I couldn't believe it as it made my holiday so worth it
Here during the effects of covid, the food for breakfast was way below 5 star
The room with the sea view was really nice, good hotel great location close to everything.
The room service was bad.
The restaurant was disappointing with very limited choice in the menu, the decor and furniture very modest, but there are many different restaurants around.
No way would Paris or the Hiltons stay in this run down place. Seriously needs tlc!!! Including the vip suites(dogboxes).
Our room overlooked the harbour, one could pass the hours by just watching the boats sailing in and out of the harbour and the scenery is spectacular The canaries flew in in the evening and were a pleasure to watch.
The Spa - took us some time to find out how to start it. The start is about 10meters away from the pool, not convenient.
But, I would happily recommend this hotel.
Amazing service loved our stay .Fantastic staff wonderful time .Thank you
David
Stayed 3 times now excellent service can't fault . Will keep staying there.
Very nice hotel. Best check-in experience I have ever had, was down to the fabulous staff member.
The Executive Suite is indeed spacious and the Executive Lounge is nice and comfortable, but the Executive Lounge's breakfast has too few menus, and I wonder if the room is large enough to make it worth the price. Correspondence of the front desk was not good enough either.
very clean on the inside and i was treated very well. the outside of the hotel needs a new paint job to modernize it, but the inside looks moden enough. breakfast was really good to, with lots of variety.
The location was amazing, everything very close by. The service was also decent. Staff were friendly. However, the hotel was quite dated which we did not mind; but the room was very dated as well. The carpet was old and rough.
Hi staff very friendly good stay but deterred by not accepting of cash it is still legal tender
Dined just down the road from there Friday night HAPPY to take our cash
Disappointing
The location is ideal for anyone as it's central to everything. The restaurant on the waterfront always has amazing service and the food is always enjoyable. I regularly go back
Really awesome breakfast. As a local I take my interstate visitors (family) there to see how the other half live. Great start to a long day of sightseeing.
We went for a wedding
Staff were excellent, stunning surroundings
I made a reservation with JTB. The LOOK JTB's help desk is available only in the morning (6: 00-9: 00), so you can use it with confidence.
A room key is required to lift the elevator, so be sure to carry it with you.
Small but gym and pool on the 3rd floor-complete (less people in the evenings, available for rent on my own (no one)) I'm satisfied.
However, Japanese food such as breakfast buffet rice was set as 4 for good weather.
Not the most palatial accommodations, but the location puts you right in the heart of the action (near piers, the esplanade, shops and restaurants)
Shame not knowing about the pool being closed Before arriving. But otherwise great service, friendly staff, good location.
Comfortable and central with the best breakfast buffet :)
Great location. Rooms bit old but still great view and wonder location
Nice hotel
Excellent location in Cairns
Very friendly staffs
Highly recommended
Will stay again
We had two stays within the same week. The first was perfect: a concierge took our bags and opened the door and escorted us up to our rooms. We won some lottery and had our rooms upgraded to the eighth floor with a spa bathtub, which was great (though single person only) and a complimentary champagne.
We went out that night and enjoyed dinner at the Night Market. The hotel is truly central to everything in the relatively small CBD of Cairns.
I was less impressed by our second stay. No concierge to help us out.. the fourth floor room was very comfortable (loved the rooms really) and even though there was a complimentary bottle of wine, the fridge was empty apart from some milk.. no cold water on this hot day, no jug so we could chill some water.. I even noticed the hotel slippers were cheapo ones compared to what we got on the eighth floor!
We paid extra to get the buffet breakfast and that was quite good: a decent selection of hot and cold foods including my favorites: bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms. I did notice that the bacon was left too long in the heat though.
We had room service dinner on one night and that was really delicious.
The views both times were fantastic. Really enjoy the green forest interior of the hotel enclosure too.
So, great rooms, ok service, great food and central. A $10 to $20 Uber will get you to ask the good places. It's pricy compared to cheaper hotels etc but that is expected and well worth it in my opinion.
Only place to stay in Cairns, breathtaking views and impeccable service.
Reserved king bed. Got 2 double beds instead. Excuse was they were busy. Isn't that what reservations are supposed to handle? Not an acceptable excuse.
Disappointed overall. Dated and exterior shabby. Good for business travelers, not really for tourists
Great staff and location. There was a small issue with our room, but they got it sorted out right away after being told about it. It's literally just a couple of minutes from the ferry terminal for all the cruises too. The only downside is that the wifi is absolutely terrible. You'll have better luck loading web pages over postal service.
Nice food, bad service and and hard to communicate with staff ! definitely not recommended for anyone with a disability, very disappointed. Recommend this is fixed before you lose another star!
We took up the offer of a 5night stay with all the bits and pieces associated with it as advertised in the Sunday paper.
The staff were excellent in all departments. The breakfasts were out of this world and very large. The waiters of both genders were very, very helpful and understanding as I have a digestion problem so needed a bit of help here and there with ordering.
The room service was good with a very short wait. Our room had a wonderful view over the local seaway. The only hitch we encountered was that one of the lifts had difficulty reading our entry/exit card but that was a minor problem that was soon overcome.
Overall we had a very relaxed break from our house in Arundel and YES we would do it again.
Well located in Cairns on waterfront, and a short walk to shopping streets in Cairns and the Casino.
And also only a few minutes walk to a selection of restaurants as well.
Comfortable rooms, nice pool and gym. Excellent buffet breakfast, and friendly staff.
Recommended.
Excellent location right on the water. Room didn't face the wharf but got water view anyway! Very pleased with room, service, & amenities.
This will probably come as no surprise to anyone who knows anything about Cairns, but perhaps the most memorable part of this hotel were the flying foxes that swarmed overhead in the evening. They don't get in the way or cause any kind of inconvenience; they're just there.
That said, the hotel itself didn't really stand out in my mind. And that's okay. The staff were friendly and the rooms clean. The pool facilities were nice. Basically, the hotel had all I needed.
Very nice place with great location. Receptionist Yuko was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of information about Cairns. Thank you!
The reception wasn't up to Hilton honors. Because I didn't book the room with the Hilton website you are not entitled to any Hilton honors perks even if you are gold
Requested high floor away from lifts to get some peace and quiet. Got low floor right near lift. Quite a few young people (possibly the same ones) yahooing by obviously inconsiderate of those of us trying to sleep. Shower screen badly designed and does not provide enough coverage to prevent water spillage onto the floor. My husband took a shower and ended up with more water outside the tub than in. No idea how to use the clock which seemed to be easy to set the alarm but no way to actually set the time which was off be over an hour. Little disappointed with the Hilton standard.
Executive rooms were nothing special; just the same as every other room in the hotel. Still nice.
Concierge staff were wonderful and very helpful. Executive lounge staff were extremely rude and the service left a lot to be desired.
I wouldn't recommend paying for anything executive, as you definitely do not get your money's worth and are not treated any better.
Relaxed accommodation
Close to all the important restaurants
Great view on the terrace
Walking distance to the Esplanade
Friendly staff
Mondos always delivers in terms of location, quality of food and usually service.Restaurant manager G.Romain should perhaps update his people skills, if he needs a mentor, just emulate Nikky who truly understands the concept of customer service.
Second stay at this hotel in about 2 weeks...stayed on the executive floor... room very clean...missing some furniture in the room and in house entertainment not functioning...not the end of the world but after a 27 hr international flight ..that was all i wanted... the finer details need some attention at this establishment...all the staff as always with hilton are exceptional in their attitude and hospitality..there is always a welcoming smile and a friendly greeting and nothing is ever too much trouble..special thanks to the knowledgeable guys at Gin Social in the lobby...excellent attention to detail and all round service
Disappointed that Hannaman Restaurant is no longer here. Mondos is looking tacky with cheap chairs and poor attention to presentation.
Service can be improved and the coffee offered during breakfast has poor quality. Beautiful spots such as the pool, gardens and the chapel.
This hotel is located in the middle of CBD with nice mountain and river views. The service is very good and all staff members are helpful. Prices are very reasonable too. I will recommend this place for business trip or family holidays.
Amazing the staff were wonderful. Cleaning staff did such a great job
Very nice Hotel like all Hilton's but badly managed, poor service by not very well trained poeple.
Hotel is setup in a nice location. But don't expect service to be as good as any Hilton location on Mainland US
I love the balcony that able yourself to have a glass of wine, relax and sunbath! Facilities are a bit old and need to have some minor renovation I guess! However, location is great with a lot of great restaurant nearby!
Very friendly staff with clean rooms. Great views available.
We are staying in Cairns and the hotel is busy-ish but very under staff. Have to wait more than an hour to just order breakfast. No buffets available due to COVID which is acceptable. But while on a trip, you have planned down to the minutes and with the hotel being understaffed you would lose all your plans!! And even after Of waiting the breakfast was cold and not fresh.
Absolutely beautiful and the best help thankyou for making my stay memorable
Nice hotel. Rooms are a little dated but the rest of the property looks modern.
It is very well located right by the pier where there are a variety of boats heading out to islands and the reef.
If you have access to the executive lounge, the staff were very friendly and breakfast and evening his d'oeuvres were good. Nice views also.
hotel well located, impeccable service, room with very nice size. The breakfast is well served and with great choices of dishes.
Very poor effort by housekeeping. 2 days there and only 1 facewasher left for 2 people. Asked at desk only to brought up face wash!???? Used the excuse of no laundry...should ve made a note to go back & replace.
Sheets needed changing, bed made as was!!! Thanks
Coffee machine not working on arrival.
Won t be back
Its not a 5 star Hilton, maybe 3.5 as it is starting to show its age. But is still nice place to stay while visiting Cairns.
Unprofessional housekeeper ruined otherwise great holiday. Hotel needs to train the staff better
Its was nice but you have to pay for parking and pay tv and the clubs accross the road are very noisy plus the buffet breakfast was 38 dollars cheers
Great spot. Lounge crew on level 9 were great. Easy check in/out
A hotel for Japanese people. All are satisfactory. The pool is scarce at night. But it feels good to be alone
Such a great place to stay. Everything was clean and service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and had a large variety on offer.
Quality hotel close to CBD and restaurant precinct. Marina easily accessible to travel to the reef.
A lovely hotel, a little bit old facilities but great view, amazing staff, friendly service and the best is the outdoor pool! The biggest hotel pool i have ever seen!
Nice room and room service, but couldn't leave the door open due to an overly loud air vent on the ground floor.
The Management and Staff were very professional and friendly.
Some Japanese employees are very impatient with guests with children, making people very uncomfortable, everything else is fine.
Beds were extremely comfortable, staff were great and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend the Hilton.
Close to best pool I have been in. Staff were friendly.
Very comfortable room with sea view and excellent breakfast.
I have stayed at various hotels around the world, this beats them all. I'm going to keep this review short and to the point, faultless.
Excellent staff, great breakfast in a terrific location.
Beautiful room , food in Mondos on the waterfront outstanding. Staff helpful and courteous. All in all recommended
Dissapointed with the room we were given this time. Great location but as return guests thought we would at least get a view of the esplanade. Instead we had a view of ugly old buildings. Will go elsewhere next time as we come to cairns regularly.
