Easily accessible venue - parking pretty much works... driveway should be better marked... they should tend to coffee and tea a bit more alertly during conferences.. restrooms nice and clean - in fact the whole place seems clean and well tended. Room temperature was too chilly at first, but in an unusual turn of events (related to other venues I've experienced), it didn't get WAY too warm after they were asked to adjust it! So - all in all - a relative win for Hilton Dedham.

I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate Erica and the team here. I stayed over the weekend and everything from the breakfast to cleanliness was on point. But what really took me aside was the fact that my girlfriend had misplaced her insulin. We did not even realize it until hours after the fact. We had been at the cafe. This was a big deal. Obviously she needs it to regulate her blood sugar, but also with out it we would have been forced to leave Boston early. So needless to say, we were concerned. Well how happy we were that your diligent staff and Erica had it safe and sound in the office. What a relief! Thank you for their professionalism!. We will also be back as we travel to Boston for business regularly!
Stayed there multiple times. Nice hotel, very good exercise facilities including free weights and a large pool, updated restaurant and bar. Easy walk to Boston train. Convenient location.
Attended the Hilton for a work meeting. It was set up well (classroom-style) with a good selection of breakfast pastry and tea / coffee. The room was spacious and clean.
The beds are two small for two people. The room looked deteriorated/falling apart. The closet door was broken. And the waiter didnt want to work. And pushed my family to get the buffet. Didnt specify what drinks they had. All in all the place was ok.
My wife and three kids were slated to stay at this hotel for 5 nights in July 2020. The hotel was just recovering after being under booked (or closed entirely?) due to COVID-19.
The first night, my wife and kids checked into their room then returned to their car to retrieve their luggage. Upon walking to the car in the empty parking lot, they noticed two individuals standing next to our car... one was looking into the car, the other was on the other side of the car and wasn't entirely visible. When my wife starting yelling at them to get away from our car (while trying to activate the alarm), one of our doors was quickly closed and the individuals asked, what was the problem? . Obviously, my wife relayed them looking into our car and hearing one of our doors close "was the problem"... then she was physically threatened.
After quickly leaving fearing for her and our children's safety (she perhaps should have filed a police report instead), she then returned about an hour later to relay what happened to the front desk and to cancel their entire stay due to safety concerns. She was told the individuals in the parking were also guests (in the basically empty hotel) and that ONLY 4 of the nights could be cancelled - not the first night.
My wife and I have both since spoken to the front desk manager requesting a complete refund for ALL five nights, but, she refuses to refund the first night's stay for some incomprehensible reason.
What kind of a hotel refuses to refund a night's stay when the guest's car was being broken into within their parking lot and the same guest was physically threatened???
ABSOLUTELY INSANE I'll NEVER stay at another Hilton property.
This was a business trip with two others travelling with me, very nice hotel, the rooms were comfortable and clean, everything worked, and there was adequate parking. The restaurant and bar are convenient, but a bit pricey (around $20 for the breakfast buffet, $10 for a call brand drink). Overall a very nice stay.
The breakfast in bed card was used by the previous guest.
Editing to update. Originally, I gave the hotel 3 stars. The front desk staff are by far the rudest, most unhelpful group you will ever meet. SPARE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION. STAY ELSEWHERE.
The 4th floor rooms close to the lobby were very loud late at night and early in the morning. The front desk was accommodating though and allowed us to move rooms later in the stay.
This is the best hotel around Boston for the price. Excellent restaurant and bar inside. The pool is amazing and they have a great Sport Club inside. The rooms are very clean and the comforters and pilliws are so comfortable.
The hotel is undergoing renovations which are truly needed. The woodwork including doors, closets and framework are worn faded and distressed; in serious need of maintenance. We had the opportunity to see several rooms and the walls show signs of wallpaper peeling back and fixtures such as thermostats for the HVAC that were not securely fastened.
The area in the hotel that we stayed had a lot of construction work and worker traffic. It was very noisy and it almost appears as though, with the construction going on, that this area was not being maintained as well as it should have been.
I'm sure this is a short-term problem while the hotel renovates, but as a frequent traveler and a guest today, it wasn't a pleasant stay.
First of all. Whoever are doing night shift at the front desk are just lazy. They hung up on me once and then when I called again. Just told me to ask in the morning.... Got to admit housekeepers are really nice and morning shift front desk really tries to help... Rooms are clean, gym smells heavily like sweat, pools are nice, breakfast is over priced, free parking is pretty cool though... Its ok place..
Very nice hotel. Big and up to date. Busy bar. Within quick travel distance to Boston. Rooms are great. They have a restaurant and a shop where you can pick up light snacks.
A bit dated, but great service Hilton brand hotel. Got multiple texts from front desk confirming room was ok. Free Starbucks coffee for gold members. Great place to stay with easy ride into Boston.
Wonderful comfy bed and clean room. However we expected a restaurant,as it was shown on website, but it was a very poor and very expensive "convenience store" that we ate in hallway, didn't t have anyone tell us we could have eaten that food at a dining area.
Inconsiderate hotel managers allowing loud construction near the restaurant during breakfast and dinner. Also, don't bother calling room service to get a beer. They won't tell you what kind of beers they have. I was actually told that I would need to go to the restaurant to look at a menu of beers and then since I'm down there, just order at the bar.
Went to a Travel event. Parking was available, free. The hotel very clean and conference room comfortable. Not to cold not to warm. Dinner was very very good. Service was as good as the dinner. I highly recommend the Hilton in Dedham for any conference meeting
I used to live on the first floor, the doors and windows were not locked, and I was thieves. Fortunately, I was able to find it after the alarm. My camera and phone have been stole herw, so be ware if you sleep at 1st floor, the Door must check if you are going to sleep and leave.
I went to the Hilton in Dedham to use the facilities at the Atlantis Sports Club. Specifically, I went with the family to take advantage of the club's indoor pool. It was perfect for us, especially the 5 year old and 2 year old. The pool ranged from 3 feet deep to 5 feet deep, which meant my kids could stand up in most of it. It made the whole experience very relaxing! The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. I didn't use it, but the exercise room had plenty of treadmills and all the basic machines I could have needed had I been working out. Great way to spend a hot rainy day!
The Hilton is such a beautiful hotel! The lobby is lovely, the gym is phenomenal, and the pool is AMAZING. Would recommend to anyone for either a place to stay, wedding, or just join the gym!!
This hotel was nice in terms of looks and amenities, but it was the HOTTEST hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment you entered the hotel it was extremely hot. Walking down the hall was very uncomfortable due to the heat. I touched the hallway vent and heat was actually coming out of the vent. Surprisingly, my room was cool but not for long. Upon speaking with the management, they called the engineer to check into the situation. I also overheard numerous guests complaining about the heat. Then a bartender got offended with a guest for not tipping and verbally attacked the guest. Then she dropped a cherry on the counter and picked it up and put it in the drink. When the guest spoke to the old female bartender about it she became upset with the guest. The guest demanded a new fresh made drink. This was brought to the attention of the management, who provided appetizers to him and his guests. I was very disappointed in this particular Hilton.
Was here for a convention had dinner at the Restaurant the food was ok, I had a problem with the water it was terrible taste like tap water the funny thing was I asked the manager to try it and he said it was fine when they brought a new bottle it was good. Was astonished that 5 people at the table said it was terrible and the management thought it was good.
Horrible by Hilton standards. I can forgive the construction/remodeling, but the wallpaper falling off the hallway, only one elevator in service, lack of concierge lounge for diamond members, inconsistent water temperature and pressure, under-equipped business center and other numerous inconveniences make this property unworthy of its brand name.
UPDATE 2017:
Renovations went well. Restaurant is nice, but bar is understocked. I'm told they "ran out" of Jack Daniels and can't access more. The big flaw is this: My room is literally 56 degrees. With or without heat. They're sold out and won't change rooms. Engineer has come up, but still isn't fixed. They make excuses about the age of their cooling towers. They basically gave me extra blankets and told me to "deal with it". I called corporate travel and am checking out in AM for a competitor. This is simply unacceptable. I travel 3-5 nights/week and this is the first time I've ever had to cut a reservation short to change hotels due to simply not meeting basic needs. I'm not even that picky or snobby...
Currently under major remodel. Stayed here monthly iver the last few years and really like it. Convenient to Legacy Placy, University Station, the T and Amtrak.
Great hotel. Very nice workers. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is close to everything but not out in the open. I would definitely come back.
