The location of the hotel is good. However, I found the lack of cleanliness of the outside room windows to be disappointing. It took away from the view. The hotel room floors were also not as clean as they should be, despite the traditional dark carpeting that hotels use to hide dirt.

This is a really fancy hotel here in downtown Houston it's really nice and the ball rooms are magnificent. I've been here for numerous events including weddings and educational lectures and seminars. This is connected to the George R Brown convention center and has a great location in downtown the only thing difficult is parking because there is very very little street parking available and there is a parking garage that has a skywalk that is connected but it is quite pricey so just be mindful of that when visiting. Many times there's construction going on around this hotel so you will have to spend a little bit of time before you can actually get inside.

Nice hotel. Rooms were always tidy and all the employees (from room services to the bar tenders) were accommodating and friendly at all hours.

My room only had hot water for some reason.

The pool was great, there were two lap lanes which is something I personally enjoy.

The bar and food weren't really much to write home about, fair I suppose. Coffee pro-tip: The Starbucks in the conference center isn't nearly as overpriced as the lobby, however the line moves slow. Pick your poison.

It is a great location and beautiful hotel. Nice room, and comfortable bed. I was disappointed in the customer service. I had to go get my own belle cart and leave my license for it when leaving. I felt every thing that usual hotels provide as customer service, was self serve. Not great hospitality.

Great hotel right next to the Toyota Center and convention center. It has multiple restaurants, including Pappasito's. We enjoyed our stay here. You have to pay for parking if you stay overnight, but they do allow you to pay a daily rate with in and out privileges (just scan your hotel key as you come in and out). It took an unusually long time to check in to the hotel. However, we were able to check out from our room which was really helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Visited the Hilton Americas hotel for an event that was hosted by the Night of SuperStars foundation. Excusite experience overall. Their building is clean, everything in order and the service was very upscale. Will definitely look into their conferencing programmes.

Excellent hotel. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, even the breakfast buffet was good. Our room was clean and organized, also prepared on time. Check in was effortless and pleasant. The access to nearby restaurants and activities makes this location prime for city goers. I would recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a relaxing environment.

Brenda was so great and has been with the company for a while and I can see why. She is so great at her job and really goes the extra mile. Some people just work for a living but this young lady loves her profession and you can tell from the moment you walk in the doors. The whole team was great. The guys that stood out the most was Jacob and Abyi they were so helpful as well. You can tell they have great leadership and it shows thru the entire team. You guys Rock!!!

The hotel was very clean and it was great that there was a restaurant and Starbucks in the hotel. They could have been a little clearer on how parking worked, but overall it was a great experience.

Beautiful place. Huge rooms. The front desk staff at my visit in 2018 was overwhelmed by a youth convention. Our youth group's 6 rooms were scattered all over the hotel instead of blocked together as requested. Took more than 45 minutes to get checked in. The next morning management was apologetic for the mix up and made it right with perks for such inconvenience.

Beautiful lobby space, was a great space to meet while in Houston for a conference. Proximity to the convention center was great. Excellent Starbucks coffee shop with a ton of seating for informal meetings.

Upon arrival room (Suite) is not ready. I can understand not being ready when I arrived at 2:30 p.m., but watching everyone check in and me being told instead of standing by the check in desk to pretty much leave and they will text me when is ready I did not like that. Right now it is 3:30 p.m. still waiting. Now 3:45 p.m. Ok it was 4:08 p.m check in time instead of 3 p.m. like they advertise. Offer me access to their Executive lounge on the 24 floor. I appreciate the kind gesture, but having access to our room would have been better. We are in town for the Houston Rockets game from Louisiana 2.5 hour drive with teenager kids. To be fair for the almost $600 price a night I am happy with the location to the stadium, the rooms were excellent, but it would have been perfect with access to the rooms soon as we got here are at the very less 3 p.m. check in time.

Upon arrival everything went fine... until reaching our room. Fridge wouldn t keep our waters cold, Requested shampoo and conditioner multiple times, never received it. No one mentioned while checking in that there would be no food options open at all. Requested a microwave to cook the food I went out and bought, also never received it.
Paid a lot of money to enjoy a nights stay & definitely wasn t able to do so.

My cousin reserved a block of rooms here for out of town guests for her wedding and they proceeded to not allow her to take photos here for her wedding. The manager swiftly followed them around and did not let them take photos here.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were dressed and acted in a 4 star hotel's manner. The building itself is beautiful, and the views are amazing. The room was smaller than the sweet I've been given for around the same price at the Hyatt Regency, but that room usually runs near $300 yes and I only booked for 200 dollars, go after taxes and fees and valet fee, $37 (Free at the Hyatt), my actual total ended up being 300 dollars on the nose. The hotel has a 24th floor indoor pool deck surrounded by glass windows giving you an amazing views, and then outside there is a beautiful Terrace giving you 180-degree views of the city in the open air, which nearly makes up for the price I paid. It's right next door to the Toyota Center and we had a concert, so the convenience of being back in our hotel rooms in less than 5 minutes versus driving 2 hours home made the hotel a great choice.

We love the Hilton Hotel America. The food in the bar and restaurant is very good and offers great options for any taste. It's a great place to stay for any occasion you have in the area of downtown Houston, Toyota Center, Discovery Green,.Montrose, Midtown or the Medical Center. The rooms are well-appointed comfortable and the beds are comfortable. There is a Starbucks located in the lobby.

Disappointed! Upon entering the bathroom in our room we noticed the toilet paper roll was 2/3rds used and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. We had to get extra toilet paper from the maid cart outside our room. It just made me wonder how dirty everything else was in the room. I ll be staying elsewhere in the future.

First class rooms, choose a downtown view, quite awesome. Within walking distance of many restaurants, parks and nightlife, also Main Street and light rail system. Note that currently Discovery Green is under renovation.

Want spirts or a concert? Close to Astro s (2017 World Series winners) Minute Maid Park, next door to Toyota Center, train ride away from NRG and walkable distance to BBVA Compass soccer field. Close to House of Blues and downtown arts center.

Starbucks in lobby and lively bar with extensive wine by the glass list. We did not try the restaurant but portions looked aplenty.

Staff and service were impeccable.

The location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the Toyota center.

The staff was courteous and professional, and the hotel itself had all the amenities we could hope for and then some.

Great staff despite how very busy and crowded it was because so many events were going on. Treat diamond guests well. Valet was okay but it does take 15 minutes to get the car, so call early.

The location was great and the check-in was smooth. Service was as expected. But, the hallways were old and stained. The rooms were old, but well kept. Overall I think the hotel could use a facelift.
