Badly overpriced, poor quality service, been moved 3 times and still landed in cold room with no heating. Steamed up very ugly looking window, decent size room but hard to enjoy at 18-19 degrees (4 degrees outside, boiling hot in the hallways)Next day spa session also very average, overall big disappointment, so much potential, beautiful grounds, great location...let down by poor management

Fairly good (under covid restrictions) but tricky golf course.
Good food and nice rooms but did experience lack of hot water which never got corrected during my weekend stay so that what let thus place down. But having said that would deffinetly give it another go.

Everything during covid 19 has been difficult, but a 4 night stay at Heythrop, has made everything better. The staff were fantastic, the food excellent and the rooms very very clean. Lots to do for the adults as well as for the children, 440 acres to walk in. Will definitely go back. I think anyone who moans because their room may not be ready or the service a bit slow, should remember the staff in the kitchens have to socially distance and every room has to be de covided, so just enjoy the experience whilst there.

Expectations were high, as I was attending a Christmas party function. The long driveway and exterior setting is fabulous, if slightly odd with the original historical architecture extended with swathes of 1970s concrete. Think of the hotel in The Shining and you won't be far off. I was in the 'S' wing of the building, and a long 4-5 minute walk from reception to my room is no exaggeration. It is my understanding that the hotel is slowly being refurbished, as other colleagues seemed to have much newer rooms, and there was also the smell of paint wafting down the hallway. Highlights: Bed was comfortable. Low points: It took 4 phone calls and 2 hours to get an ironing board and iron brought to the room. 2 of the 5 plug sockets in my room worked. No bedside table, just a random hole in the headboard. Only enough room to walk down the side of the bed on one side, as other side was jammed up against the radiator. In December with snow outside, the heating was off. Dinner was 3 courses. Brief review: * Ham hock was brilliant * Smallest most dubious fillet of cod I've ever seen. 'Selection of winter vegetables' was represented by 5 overcooked carrot sticks. * For dessert, I am no culinary expert, but I am fairly sure that traditional Christmas pudding 1) isn't usually served as a slice, 2) isn't meant to have a skin around it. Would I stay again? Not until the refurbishments were over.

Excellent, very high end Conference Centre although food was on the poor side but really just a snack and I'm sure not the usual fare of the restaurant. There for a NYRO event and would gladly attend again

Swaying between a 3 star and a 2 star on this one. First of all the place is just huge with not much direction of how to get from one place to another. Once you actually get to your room that it's quite the opposite, they're tiny and facilities aren't the best (including the sandpaper toilet roll.)

The golf course is nice but sometimes walks of 5 minutes between holes makes it long day out, buggies were fully booked by all the smart people for the weekend so we had no chance!

Food wasn't bad but the worst experience of all was the restaurant manager, rude and unhelpful. This wasn't just a one off, we went to the restaurant 4 times and every result was the same, I actually couldn't believe how rude he was. There was a lovely older lady at breakfast who was simply amazing so props to her.

Overall, I wouldn't return due to the length of the course, the room size and the extremely rude restaurant manager.
