My roofing adventure started with Nick inspecting our roof and finding damage. After filing a claim with the insurance I met with Nick to sign contract, and pick out shingles. Nick was very competent and professional and answered all my question. Soon a date was set up to replace the roof. The crew showed up bright and early and attacked the project. It was amazing to watch how fast everything progressed. I was impressed at how everyone knew just what to do, worked very efficiently even though temperatures reached into the 90's. Terrible job roofing. Tons of issues torn shingles put on, tore off our siding in the process, crooked rows, did not reattach our gutter. Came back to fix forgot to fix some. Came back to collect money promised to fix its been months now have a basement full of water because my gutter is not attached to my house. Heyn Brothers has been nothing but a headache to work with. We got new windows and siding from them 4 months ago. One of my windows is leaking water and some of the other windows leak air on windy days. If you look out the windows my curtains move when the wind blows. I have called our sales person several times about this issue. He has assured me that someone else will call me about this issue and no one has called. It has been 15 days since I have heard from anyone there. Every time I have called the office it goes to voicemail. Seriously if you are looking for a company who will stand behind their product and fix any issues that come up don't choose them. This has been a nightmare and I am so frustrated.

The salesman Cory Smith, was punctual, friendly and competent. The roofing crew was efficient and friendly. The work is so hard but they seemed happy throughout. The yard was protected and the debris entirely removed down to the last nail. We certainly recommend them.

Heyn brothers was very quick in assessing my roof and getting me a quote (actually done in one day), then scheduling the appointment and finishing my roof. The workers were at my house at about 8:00 and finished the entire roof around 5:00. The roof is much improved from before, as would be expected. It looks great and haven't had any issues.

4/3/2020 We had hail damage. Heyn Brothers, Mankato, MN gave us a bid in a timely manner. It wasn't the cheapest bid, but we heard positive things about the company and so we went with them. There were no high pressure sales.
They agreed to wait until spring to do the work and contacted us in March. The crew arrived when they said they would. They worked hard, until it was dark and returned the next morning to finish the work. The quality of the work was good. They cleaned up after themselves.
We used Heyn Brothers for our roofing job after some wind damage. Over all very satisfied with their work. The estimator was on time and contacted me as the work was being done to make sure everything was going well. I would recommend Heyn Brothers and will probably use them for future jobs.

I had hail damage in June. Corey Smith, from Heyn Brothers, came out on a Sunday to assess the damage. He made it a simple process and explained things as we went forward. With any major job, total roof, gutters, and shed roof, there are bound to be some hiccups. But! I was able to contact and connect with Corey and staff at the Heyn Brothers office without any difficulty. They were polite, responsive, and explained things well. I was very impressed. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Extremely Disappointed. Our town had a lot of residents with hail damage and many different companies were here providing estimates. I hired Heyn Brothers after receiving 3 estimates, and Heyn Brothers was not the cheapest of the 3 but I thought Cory, their salesman, was great and did his job well. He was the only salesman who remained in contact with me, answered all my questions timely and was not pushy to make a sale. My roof was done toward the end of fall when their schedule allowed as I'm aware they were quite busy.
Day 1: When I got home from work I noticed that my satellite dish had been put back up on the roof and I had asked that it not be since I no longer utilize satellite service. Yard was a disaster. Day 2: Asked the main worker (at least that's how he appeared to me...I'm not sure because they all spoke spanish) to please remove the satellite and fix my new shingles which now have holes. He said no problem so I went to work. Came home from work and the job wasn't quite done. Foreman, Kenny, was standing in the front yard leaned up against a trailer scrolling through his phone. The workers left, and I came outside expecting to have the foreman come talk to me to see if the work was satisfactory or maybe do a walk around with me. Nope. Everyone was gone. He obviously didn't even look at my house and I'll tell you why:
Holes in my shingles where satellite dish was were filled with caulk, not replaced. Facia had been ripped off and crinkled up and torn in 2 spots, very noticeably, and no one said a thing to me. They just put it back up as best they could and left it. Gutters were bent and detached at the top. My brand new white garage door was scraped and streaked with black marks from them parking their refuse trailer in front of it and the old shingles fell between the trailer and the garage. Paver walkway had black tar streaks on it. Some other smaller things also. I called to complain to the owner, Aaron, who then said he'd call his foreman and the foreman couldn't get back to my house to assess the damage til the following day.
Long story short, my shingling project started 11/16/18 and this issue wasn't resolved until 12/28. The only reason I provided 2 stars is because they came back and fixed most of the issues. The guy who came back, Dan, did a great job and was communicative.
I am mostly disappointed in the fact that there was no follow-through after the project was complete. They just wanted their money. I didn't even get an apology from the owner til the 3rd phone call I made with him. I had to reach out, not the other way around, to fix their mistakes. Perhaps they were trying to rush because they had more houses to complete before it got too cold. But that's no excuse to wreck someones house, leave and send a bill.
I would never recommend this company. I'm not the only person this happened to in town. Some have worse stories than mine.
This past May I moved to Blue Earth MN and as we all know we suffered a hail storm at the end of July. I was at a loss about what to do and when to do it. Then after a few days various roofing companies began to pop up all over town. A lot of cardboard signs appeared in neighbor s yards. I also had a variety of flyers and business cards at my home. With being so new to the area I asked coworkers what they were doing about potential damage to their homes. I then heard that several staff chose an outfit out of state.
*** Corey was immediately in contact and the professionalism and rapport was simply wonderful. I was never pressured to make any decision and his focus seemed to be directed towards my peace of mind. After the pressure from the other companies he was such a welcome relief. There was such an ease to the entire pre-roofing process so I would definitely rate Heyn Brothers as a 5 star company.
Later, when the crew came out Kenny was wonderful. He was very attentive and in fact one day I spied him just casually walking around the perimeter picking up stray pieces of stuff. This was well after the roofing was completed. Kenny stayed in touch with me through the whole process as well as Corey.
*** Additional charges: Corey warned me that my house was very old and that there might be resheeting issues. Kenny called and shared the same and in fact the bill was revised to reflect this additional expense. Corey has gone out of his way to stress to State Farm the sheeting issue, sent photos and overall was very persistent that the agency release more funding to pay for this additional expense.
Yes of course the final review would equate to 5 stars but for me there is no limit to the accolades of Corey, Kenny and of the entire roofing process.
My family has used Heyn Brothers in the past and been very pleased so there wasn't a question who I was going to use. They took a bad situation and may it a wonderful. I can't say enough about these guys....They were AWESOME!!!

I am a very satisfied and awed customer of Heyn Brothers. A new roof has been installed on my house with no distress or frustration on my part. The salesperson (Brad) was extremely helpful and personable throughout. The work crew had a very hot day to do their job, but nevertheless performed their tasks thoroughly and carefully. The entire job, from initial cost estimate to final cleanup, was done within the timeframe described and done very well. The new roofing job was one I dreaded, but it turned out to be the easiest construction or rehab work I've ever had done to my house--all due to the professionalism of EVERYONE at Heyn Bros.

We had Heyn come re-shingle our home. Their bid came in the lowest of 3 and they were efficient and thorough. Only slight issue was that they finished at dark and didn't pick up all the nails/wrappers that were hard to see at that time of night.
