Het oude Politiebureau Review

Very badly helped due to an incident at our table. A glass of wine has fallen on our table because of the table next to it We have been relocated to the restaurant section because of the commotion. We were very upset. Staff said immediately I will pour a beer and a glass of wine. We thought that is for the shock, but was just on the bill. Then wait a long time for our food as if we had forgotten. A very good feeling about this evening where we celebrated a birthday. Clearly indicated at checkout to the staff Only sorry, annoying. Therefore 1 star due to the poor aftercare. I really hope they will do something with this

Great service. People who really understand the profession. They are very skilled in the operation, but also in dealing with people! We were there for a party and were from the afternoon to dinner. And are very well taken care of by everyone.
Delicious pastries for coffee, or champagne :).
There are beautifully decorated rooms upstairs for a meeting or intimate dinner.
The food is exquisite. And also nice that you can look into the kitchen.

Both lunch and dinner! Excellently eaten. Really a taste sensation. Correct operation, somewhat expensive but that should not spoil the fun.

Het Oude Politiebureau is a wonderful restaurant with a great laid-back terrace. My wife & I popped in one evening for a nice dinner. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had not reserved a table, and the place was packed. However, we were told if we sat & had a drink that a table should come free shortly.
While I was very impressed with the terrace, as mentioned, the staff seemed to take our order and then forget it, or deliver French Fries without actually bringing the meal itself. Further to that, the menu that we were given did not resemble the menu that was on their website. I had looked online in the afternoon and had already decided what I was going to select, but that was not possible. The salad that I did choose, while being OK, was nothing special at all... However, my wife order a steak and said that it was absolutely delicious...
So, while I loved the building and the outdoor tables, Het Oude Politiebureau failed a little bit with regards order taking, food (not all) and serving...
This is not enough for me to not recommend it to others, but it is enough to not really make me want to go back... (Which is disappointing - I had high expectations for this restaurant.)

Eaten with a large group. We had the space in the attic, which was very attractively decorated (Christmas). The food was delicious.

Quiet, attractive, customer-friendly, good food, clean. Great opportunity for groups to discuss things at rest.

Very nice dinner yesterday, relaxed atmosphere on the outside terrace!

Good food, clean restaurant: the nine-course dinner is highly recommended! Hospitable waiters who (of course) do not hesitate to ask if we want to order something else to drink.
You can also sit outside, if the sun shines or the temperatures are not too low.

We were not allowed to sit too far away on the terrace because then the service had to go too far, it was said. With this customer unfriendly approach I had the P in at the start and could have gone better, but okay: give it a chance I thought. Tea with too little hot water, after two questions and after 15 minutes extra hot water, 50 (I say: fifty ...!) Minutes waited for two croquettes. They were not bad in themselves but the ministry is really a drama. They have no idea what they are doing and no idea what they are doing wrong. I will not go here anymore.

Recently eaten in the bistro. The food was delicious, but the service was not very professional and we had to wait a long time for our food.

Tasty food, also has rooms for both business meetings and parties.

Is next to the new police station, but in the old it is better to stay! Cozy converted with atmosphere. Peeing in the cellar in the old cells is a must.

Atmosphere is always good and normally good experiences. Operation was a bit slow now. And the tomato soup on the sour side. The pulled pork was good to eat again

Nice atmosphere (lots of woodwork), good food (things you don't make at home, not in their way or with their ingredients) and the (paid) parking lot is literally next to it.

Well-organized presentation evening of the VVP premier league volleyball team with about 30 people in one of the rooms. Then a drink with tasty snacks. Well cared for, fast and friendly service, top!

Eaten here with a group (11 men). Beautiful long table was arranged and a menu with a choice of 3 dishes per course. The service was extremely friendly. The food was tasty but not super special in this menu. Unfortunately the redfish fillet was a bit dry. On the map itself I saw some special things (zander ...). Plus point: covered (and heated) smoking area.

Excellent restaurant, we have been here many times. The food is great in the main restaurant, and in the bistro as well, though a bit simpler. The personal is always friendly everytime we have been there. They usually remember what everyone at the table ordered and don't often ask who had... You can rent the restaurant out and they have great facilities for parties.
