Nice, cozy, and good restaurant with good and nice staff.
In short, just TOP !!!

The basilica is one of the most exclusive restaurants around the Plein in The Hague. Our expectations were therefore high. The restaurant is in a narrow street. The interior is very tasteful. It creates a warm atmosphere. The menu offers a combination of everyday dishes and unusual dishes, such as sweetbreads. The food was variable. The relationships between, for example, the vegetable and the fish were sometimes out of balance. The matching wine pairing was good and appropriate. The dishes sometimes take a while. The staff are usually friendly and somewhat underdressed. You can park in the nearby garage under the Square.

Cozy atmosphere, good service from the smooth service. The wines from the wine list can all be ordered by the glass, including a delicious Hungarian white wine! Food is perfect in taste and layout is beautiful. Highly recommended in the center

Tasty food, good location, cosy, very friendly service. Average prices. Vegi ravioli and vegi stew were very tasty but the portions were a bit small, better to order a menu or a starter/dessert.

The chef has nothing to cook. The flavors are rich and unique and worth a taste. It's a pity that the explanation of the menu for foreign tourists is not friendly enough. The appetizer contains smoked beef, but the menu does not show beef, and the elders who do not eat cattle are a pity.

Starter salmon bonbons: 5 stars beautifully presented and tasteful
Main course: skate, fairly tasteless 2 stars
Side dish: fries, seemed to be fried several times (or possibly leftover) and burnt 1 star
Dessert: oreotaartje was delicious 4 stars
Service and service was great, friendly ladies.
I personally think the restaurant is overrated.

Pros: Excellent food quality, very friendly staff; great decoration.

We took the Iberico as a starter and it was fablious and the caramel pie as a dessert no words ..... We haven eaten outside like we were in France , we are definitly going back

De Basiliek is an attractive and good restaurant located in the heart of The Hague near the Plein. Price / quality ratio is very good. Besides the house wine, they also have beautiful wines! Incredibly nice service and the food is so delicious! Reservations are recommended. They are often full! The Basilica is also easily accessible with the Randstadrail! Parking garage under the Plein is also an option and is a 1-minute walk from the Basilica. In short, De Basiliek is a feel-good restaurant and an absolute must!

Been here twice and both times it was excellent. Very find food, really friendly service and when you are with a larger group you have a bit more separated area. Whether it's a romantic dinner or dinner with colleagues; this place is a great choice.

Menus are changed regularly, always adjusted to seasons, creative dishes that show you that someone paid attention to what they make and try to keep it interesting. Food/wine pairing is also good and the wine list is solid.
Great place for special occasions, business dinners or for treating yourself to truly fine foods.

Excellent food and prices are fair. Main course could have been bigger but the choices of starters are so delicious so just take one two starters more :) a place to come back!

You can expect a lot from such a tent. It all looked luxurious but what you get back is very little.

Very nice restaurant in old part of Hague..this is quite a high profile area of Hague past the castle. Some very good restaurants in this neighborhood. This one has great food choices,one should go fish menu..they have excellent choices to chose from....the service is excellent and the place is tucked away in side alley. Quote and peaceful location....a great place to dine sitting outside in summer months..

We came into Shreveport under sad circumstances, but knew we had to get some Louisiana goodness before we headed back to Dallas (Tx). After reading other reviews, we had to get here and we're so glad we did. The staff was pleasent, friendly and looked to be enjoying each other. We enjoyed the crawfish cornbread and the combo appetizer platter. The breaded dill pickles were perfect and the cornbread was heavenly.

It's an awesome restaurant! The service was #1, and the personnel were very friendly. The food was fresh and very-very tasty. I loved the squid and the fish of the day was delicious as well. My personal favorite was the octopus soup though! One of the best soups in my life! If you want to eat high quality foods for a reasonable price, this is your place! Highly recommended!

Moderate 3 course meal. Especially 'cheese plate' was a joke.On a metal plate, where normal is, lay napkin where brie was stuck to.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! Me and my wife enjoyed a great dinner, we actually chose the place by coincidence and were very happy we did. Good food for good evaluated prices, good wines by the glass and good staff. Everyone's experience can of course be different but we respect such a place who doesn't work with discounts. (Or better to say we are glad they don't need it).

My favorite restaurant in the neighbourhood with its very good menu and great staff. They change their menu from time to time that you dont get bored to go there often. Their vegeterian dish is limited but very good too. As a Vegeterian I am always happy there

Extremely tasty food and friendly staff! We had a three step menu which was great (fish and steak). Although it's usually nothing special, the fries with the self-made mayonnaise were especially good. Go and try them ;)

We found the chips too dark and got others. Slightly better but was charged as an extra (eventually deducted at checkout). 7 euros for a glass of very mediocre wine is very expensive.

Delicious cuisine, the pastrami was excellent. Too bad the service was very slow. The first course came only after 45 minutes and there was also a lot of time between courses. Towards the end of the evening other catering staff came to hang around the bar. It was so cozy there that the staff forgot about their own guests. Eventually walked to the bar to pay the bill. A pity, because we would have liked to have eaten here again. The kitchen is top notch, but we probably won't be back because of the slow service.

A hidden gem in The Hague! Beautiful place and good food! Really recommended.

We tested starters, dishes and desserts there. They were all highly sought after both in terms of flavor and presentation. The last missing star comes from dishes that are not hot enough for us. We will be back. The place is suitable for both a romantic / friendly and professional setting. Maybe not with young children though.
