Good museum. Depends a bit on exhibition on how good it is, but by changing exhibits makes it a nice place to return.

Beautiful museum, with a special permanent exhibition about outsidersart! Recommended
Beautiful museum with constantly changing exhibitions with masterpieces from the Russian Hermitage. The building alone is more than worth the visit. It can sometimes be very busy.
Beautiful museum, building alone is worth a visit. The exhibitions vary greatly.
Really nice museum. On july, the 3 exposition were very different : one about jewelry, one about the real face of the old amsterdam population, and one about a modern artist (which i did not like at all so i don't remember his name).
I like the fact that the second exposition (about the real face of old amsterdam) try to show that most of the time, only white and rich people were shown on the painting and that it creates a false idea that people from other nationalities/origins were not already living in amsterdam.
You will spend a lot of time in the museum so be sure to not go to late.
Detached site of the famous Russian museum. It hosts temporary exhibitions and also a great selection of paintings by Dutch painters referring to the Rembrandt school. Great for delving into the history of Amsterdam and the relationships that bind the two countries.
Beautiful exhibition, Corona wise .....
Well arranged
Just wonderful as a museum. Want to see the clothes of the tzars? There you go. Same for their jewels and artwork.
Beautiful exhibitions, every time. Nicely designed, good use of the space, interesting explanation, both on signs with the paintings and photos and via the audio tour.
Come to the Hermitage more often and am always happy. Now again enjoyed the jewelry but also clothing from the time of the Russian Czars and also of the Dutch masters from the 17th century. Very educational.
Beautiful collection from St. Petersburg by Dutch Masters
Beautiful, all those Dutch masterpieces from St. Petersburg. What a sad idea that much of this beauty will disappear in the basement again. I found the extensive explanation very interesting and pleasant to hear and read. You must have seen this exhibition!
Jewels! is really recommended, a beautiful collection to admire.
There are many kinds of museums inside, the fare varies
catering in museum restaurant ridiculously expensive; otherwise the museum is very good!
Amazing museum. We saw the flamish painting exhibition, and it was just stunning!
Incredible quality of the paintings exhibited, very nicely displayed, with very interesting comments.
Free audio-guide
An absolute must see if Amsterdam.
It's always here to dream away, so romantic ... especially with Outdoor Cinema
Museum of the history of the foundation and government of Amsterdam with electronic exhibition. Excellent experience recommended for everyone
Wonderful day had a lot of information choice with guide or tour
that was a beautiful exhibition about the Tsar's jewels in a beautiful museum
An asset for Amsterdam, the part with outsider Art is also recommended!
With respect for the artist they have again made a beautiful exhibition. Very worthwhile classic beauties!
Exposition 'the fallen treasure chest' really missed too much cohesion.
Exceptionally surprising. Worth going to. The place is very interactive and tells a lot of Dutch culture. Too beautiful!
What a top museum and all this thanks to the enthusiasm of Cathelijne Broers and her colleagues.
An exceptional museum in which modern art is impeccably displayed
In comparison with the St Petersburg Hermitage, the one in Amsterdam does not mean much!
Especially for the tsar jewelry from Hermitage of St Petersburg. Beautiful exhibition.
Wonderful museum. We've been to Jewels! been. Very beautiful, with clothing as well as paintings in addition to jewelery.
Good explanation via the free audio tour.
Free with Museumkaart.
Visited the exhibition Dutch Masters from the Hermitage and Group portraits from the Golden Age. The first in particular was very busy, but it is of course also a unique exhibition. Quality of the works was good and so was the presentation. The group portraits in the main hall were especially nice to see together. Hans Aarsman's audio commentary was nice to hear and of course a photographer offers a completely different approach than an art connoisseur from the industry such as Jan Six.
Very nice museum. Basic price is 25.00 (is possible with Museumjaarkaart) and then you can go to a certain part of the museum. For example, if you want to go to the jewels or temporary exhibitions, you have to pay extra from 2.50. There is a very good and large restaurant with lots of seats, but it was completely full. Very large 2-storey building. There is also a Kinder Hermitage which is very fun and educational.
Nice contention, good museum with audio guides. Nor very big though.
There were a lot of things that were a little disappointing. A place worth a visit! There is an audio guide.
Wonderful museum. It is a pity that despite tickets we still had to queue at the checkout.
Beautiful location with beautiful exhibitions now in March 2017 including about the Romanov family. Recommended.
Very good museum in Amsterdam, now with the Romanov Expostion in house. All about the Romanovs
Audio tour also possible for all languages.
Super beautiful exhibition! Recommended especially now nice and quiet too.
Interesting museum and an affordable lunch option as well!
Nice location with exhibitions that are very worthwhile.
Really surprising experience for a museum! Super modern and engaging, not old and boring. Highly recommend!
Excellent!!!!! Bring your own headphones to plug into the audio guide for better listening on the self guide your
You can quietly look close to the paintings and the extra info is interesting
Great exhibitions, would be nice to have student discounts
beautiful place in the heart of Amsterdam. Fantastic museum. very easily accessible by public transport. this time until May 2018 "Dutch Masters" very worthwhile.
Wonderful museum. Beautiful exhibition (Dutch masters) but very busy.
Okay museum but have to pay extra for some temporary exhibitions.
Always beautiful exhibition. Fine museum. Very busy.
One of the most popular new museums in Amsterdam, this branch of the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg Russia is housed in a 17th century complex, once Europe's first old age home, with a chapel and organ and a good balance between modern and old. The temporary exhibitions most often on loan from the Russian Hermitage are all of high quality and definitely worth seeing. Located along the Amstel River easily reachable from any part of the center of Amsterdam.
I was here a long time ago when the Romanov exhibition was situated there.
Lovely building, very good exhibitions. Clean facilities and lovely food. Very big, yet not too big. Would definitely go again.
The Dutch Masters exhibition is very beautiful, but it can be very busy. So for optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to avoid weekends and holidays. The explanation in the - free - audio tour has been extended, so that I can create substantial congestion in small spaces. The other exhibits and parts of the museum are a lot quieter. Buying a ticket online prevents waiting in line. The museum has a restaurant / cafe and offers free cloakroom, lockers and wifi. Finally, it is nice to watch the four-part series "Hollandse Meesters retour" broadcast on NPO before visiting the exhibition.
Beautiful collection, beautiful location, parking Stopera
Beautiful museum in a new structure.
3 exhibitions today. Free with Amsterdam Card.
It is a nice state and the museum is ok nice that wau ok bless me
A very entroid respond a beautiful display of Remprend
If you want to see a picture of men dressed in brown and a hat on their heads, this is the place! I just visited the permanent collection. About this, you get to know a lot about the personalities and the city of Amsterdam. Not being my type of painting, they are impressive canvas. Included in the I Amsterdam Card.
Expensive at 17.50 for a single exhibition (currently all about Catherine the Great), but plenty to see and learn. The included audio tour is a real bonus! I used the audio tour in the CtG exhibition and the Portrait Gallery of the Golden Age; it helped bring the stories of the objects/paintings to life. Each exhibition takes approximately 60-90 mins.
Beautiful exhibitions. Something small rooms sometimes where it can be too busy. Too bad and clumsy that the restaurant is so expensive.
Amazing building, arhitcture and curated exhibitions
Nice exhibitions, really worth it, diverse and also nice that you can listen to the stories about the paintings
The IAmsterdam card informs that the 3 museums about it are included in the card, but for the Hermitage it is charged 10. Cover this, the museum is beautiful.
