Visited Romanov exhibit. Rather spare on artifacts - mostly photos and film probably available on internet.

To visit for the historical department and the several exhibitions during the year
Great location, beautiful architecture and relaxed atmosphere.
I found the Dutch Masters exhibition somewhat expensive
Adore this corner of peace and tranquility , there is also a very nice cafe
Nice exhibition and a nice building. Easily accessible by public transport. Too bad that there was so little information about the displayed jewelry, etc. to read.
The Treasure Chamber. Very beautiful, large and very varied exhibition through the centuries. Highly recommended!
Poorly laid out and confusing, this museum had a nice selection of exhibits, but seemed to be a bit incorrect, based on what other museums claimed, on the historical facts around the art pieces.
Great building. Well laid out not many in the permanent exhibition. However the portrait gallery and the Rembrandt collection was great. As was the huge special exhibition of portraits. Did not see the Dutch masters as this was expensive. The restaurant had great ambience and good food but again on the expensive side.
The Museum is known as one of the better, yet I think the RijksMuseum is more beautiful. There is no other option, as the government is heavily subsidized. Something to take into account.
The Dutch Masters exhibition was not easy in terms of quality. Not all of them are masterpieces.
nu ook daar te zien, Willem Genk, alleen geen foto's gemaakt, veel te zien ,goed aangegeven ivb met corona.
Great juwelry expo from the Russian Court & Group Portraits from the 17th Century.
Amazing museum with interesting exhibitions. Very near the Skinny Bridge as well so you can take in two tourist attractions at once!
Nice building with its own interesting history. A permanent exhibition about the building and its function then. And changing exhibition.
Nice courtyard but hermitage has not been visited too little time for next time.
The portrait gallery was good . The rest very disappointing , don't expect anything like the original hermitage . I would recommend to visit when there's a special exhibition otherwise not
Very interesting exhibitions. I visit the museum twice a year. Great venue and location. Easy accessable with public transport
Worth for the historic setting of the exhibition. As art there are better museums in Amsterdam. The building and gardens are beautiful.
It is a shame that the museum card is becoming less useful. I have to pay extra for the entrance here.
Nice museum that can also be visited in parts. We were in the part with the archers paintings and an exhibition of "outsider art", which seemed to be a term for works by people who are not formally artists because no training, but had made works from, for example, day care for the disabled
Museum year card is not valid for the entire museum, you have to pay extra per part
We went to the Dutch Masters and Dutchmen of the Golden Age. Hans Aarsman's audio tour of the Dutch of the Golden Age is definitely recommended. He gives you a completely different view of the paintings.
Beautiful building where unusual exhibitions can be seen. It is wonderful to relax on the inner square and it is a resting point for a break with a drink in the busy city center of Amsterdam. compared to other museums, I find the entrance prices on the high side compared to the offer, but in the end it is only a few euros difference.
Some exhibitions are less interesting, so please inquire in advance. The photos are part of the Jewelery exhibition of 2020.
Want to understand the dutch go and visit Hermitage the golden age
Beautiful and well-running museum with well-kept information about the Tsar family from ancient Russia. On this afternoon another beautiful performance by the Urals Cossack Choir from Rijswijk.
Was really impressed by the quality of their exhibition, it's nice!
Beautiful spaciously arranged changing exhibitions. Beautiful courtyard where you can quietly recover.
Beautiful, large museum in the heart of Amsterdam. Not a permanent collection, but Dutch masters are definitely worth a visit.
Very nice museum ... very accessible. Wonderful exhibition. Brasserie / restaurant also very good. In short, a must !!!
Always beautiful exhibitions in spaces that are very difficult to pass! It is and always will be a fight; take a look and don't be annoyed by the spaces on the floor that are too small; that's just the way it is!!!
What a very nice exhibition they have put down with 1917. Romanovs & Revolution in 2017. Be sure to come back!
Nice location, bit clean. Good concert seen, Borodin Quartet
Really great museum. The exhibition on portraits was a joy to take in. With an extremely entertaining digital tour(dutch only) it was an absolute blast which I will not forget soon.
Not top of the list but worth a visit. Check special exhibitions.
Not worth the admission fee! They have a few good paintings, one rembrandt, the rest are pretty much garbage, the modern museum is also very uninspired. As is the atmosphere of the museum, blank white walls abound, lobby area is just super sad. How does this pass for a museum? Slapping the name hermitage on it is really a misnomer. Very disappointed
Magnificent! Most people come for the jewelry exhibition, but the Amsterdam portrait exhibition is also very worthwhile.
Not suitable for 1.5 m society despite well-intentioned measures and instructions from the staff. Too busy for that.
Admirable exhibition in beautiful building, Classic Beauties squared.
The exhibition Hollanders of the Golden Age was very interesting. Also the accompanying audio tour of Hans Aarsman is a must!
Wonderful exhibits and the staff are friendly. Well worth a visit
The temporary exhibition was really beautiful. Enjoyed the beautiful jewelry and the audio tour was good.
Nice museum with very good collection. The Romanov expose is a bit underwhelming and a bit pricey for what you get still enjoyable.
One of the absolute highlights Amsterdam and an absolute MUST. The highlights are the thirty monumental group portraits - giant canvases. Partly very dark and in rather muted colors, but still great painted. In the pictures missing for my taste but the southern lightness and Farbenfroheit. All three museums (all under one roof) are very worthwhile.
Tip: Entrance fee insanely high (the highest ever). The "I Amsterdam Card" is therefore a worthwhile investment and also superior, whether in a 3-day ticket (if this is sufficient) must be public transport there. For me, the card was without much cheaper, even if I'm driven three times by tram and had to solve a single ticket for the trips.
No permanent exhibition. Often only borrowed pieces from other art museums in Amsterdam
The exhibition of nieuwe meesters and golden age are worth visiting. The exhibition of Dutch masters is in our view a shame and not worth the extra money one have to pay. Wrong lighting unclear and incorrect positioned text, incorrect use of music, etc. An amature's job. When it gets slightly busy then one can't see anything. Shame.
Great beautiful world class exhibitions. Especially now the Classic Beauties exhibition is a must. Not too busy and cool in summer. So highly recommended.
Nice place, quiet museum.
Lots to see and great cafe. Highly recommended if you want something different and want to see the beautiful art.
A little scanty, there isn't really that much to see. The story behind its origins is perhaps more interesting than the museum. We had free tickets so it's nice to have a look.
Very interesting and didactic, great to learn a little more about the history of Holland.
It was a beautiful exhibition of the jewels of the Russian tsar family. Only the signage in the Hermitage itself could have been better. Friendly attendance. Parking in parking garages within walking distance. Parking costs are 7.50 per hour.
A very interesting exhibition with lighting effects that you should not miss. It tells in a playful and beautiful way how the Netherlands got its ingenious ideas for trading and how the Netherlands cared with care for the poor and orphans. This 'social' healthcare system is still coming back now
If you are looking for something covered, the right address here.
A total must see when visiting Amsterdam. Such beautiful paintings, interactive presentations with projections over the art. 6 language voice tour guide. You'll learn how the Dutch people have loved and how strong the Dutch women are.
