We are members and only get there 2 or 3 times a year. The garden is large and diverse. One of our favorites is the Japanese garden. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained by 2000 friendly volunteers. You could spend a few days there and not see everything. Now the tulips are blooming and worth a visit, just to see them.

So sad that we got turned away because we went there for my daughter's before promp's pictures. Today my daughter and 2 other friends dressed up for prom. We decided to take their "before" prom pictures at the DENVER BOTANIC GARDEN. Armed with our phones,we were about to buy our tickets to get in. Then, the lady at the table in the back entrance said that we are required to pay $100.00 for the picture permit in order to take our own pictures.
She told us to go to Cheeseman's park nearby . We went there and there was no parking. The park is absolutely not where you want to go for prom pics. Both of our kids grew up in Denver and for years we went there as guesses. I am very dissapointed that there is a rule that we can not take our own pictures without paying an extra $100.00. These are not even professional pictures. Poor girls dressed up and in high heels. All we were going to use is our phone with our camera features...

There's very little not to like here; by all means make sure you visit the conservatory; you will scarcely believe what is inside that concrete structure. Overall a great place to while away an afternoon, and we found that the restaurant in the center served very tasty and clean food, albeit at a bit of a premium; but what a place to sit outside and have a fall lunch. It's fantastic.

Absolutely love this place. Can't say enough about the amazing gardens from all over the world. I've found my natural gone in the midst of Denver. Proud annual membership with a fob that enjoys going nearly once a week to become relaxed and one with nature.

The greenhouse aspects are fantastic year round. However, with the changing of the seasons the outdoor aspects obviously can't stay flourishing all year. 5 star if you visit late spring to summer and also during the winter for their light displays.

The Denver Botanic Gardens is an iconic Denver cultural attraction in a city where the economic impact of this sector outstrips professional sports.

If you haven't been to the gardens, make a plan, today. In the last 10 years they have made stellar improvements to the facility and are they continuing to improve every day.

You can stroll the myriad of gardens, visit the library, take a class, a tour, volunteer, attend a concert at this world class venue, etc., etc.

And if you have the chance to visit during an art show like Pixelated, the one going on during the spring of 2018, you are in for even more of a treat.

I only wish they had more room to grow. Though they have done wonders with the Chatfield Arboretum in the southwest suburbs.

We arrived at the Gardens in the morning and it was a unexpected surprise since there had been a large snow storm a couple of days before so we were thinking that the plants and flowers would look pretty bad. But to our surprise the garden was actually pretty nice . The day we went , there was a group of school children running around that took away the calm and serene nature that you would go to the gardens in the first place but other than that it was a pretty good deal.

The day we went the Japanese tra garden was closed, but the Japanese garden was open and the staff was working to get it ready.

There is some construction going on in the gardens and it appears that a new garden is developing

If your military you do get a discount on the entrance fee.

Excellent manicured gardens, labeled plants with information, easy to navigate and even though other people are there, it feels as if you have the place to yourself. Lovely for families, couples and on your own! Prices are medium for the area. Staff stays out of the way but are quite friendly.

One of my favorite places to visit in Denver. There is something new blooming every week, and so many events available. I haven't taken a class, but it's on my list of things to do in the future. The Gardens welcome artists to sketch, paint, or photograph (so long as the paths aren't blocked) as long as they want. Great place to learn more about plants and to just enjoy a beautiful garden. Pokemon Go players have lots of poke stops and gyms to go to, too, and there are always a surplus of pokemon to catch.

It took about 2 hours to walk 90% of the paths. There is a lot to see and a lot of wonderful smells. I arrived at opening time on a free day (Tuesday) and by the time I left the gardens were swarming with people. The parking lot was packed as well with people waiting in the parking lot for people to leave. Plan ahead. They have a bistro on site with a vegetarian burger however it costs about $13, yikes.

Most St of the paths were blocked off tonight for free Dia de los Muertos celebration. Not usually the case. Great Catrina sculptures up for the event.

Wonderful place year round. Great Christmas event for free coming up later this month. Huge garden, wonderful to walk around.

Was a very nice visit and we happened to come on a free day, however everything was dead except for what was indoors. Obviously this is typical of winter in Colorado but I would have been mad if I had paid money to go in and literally not been able to see anything.

I'm giving this 5 stars because I love the beauty and serenity of the gardens. However...I went on the Ghost of the Gardens tour over Halloween weekend and it was incredibly disappointing. The tour guide was so theatrical that I could hardly understand a word. It was freezing with a snowstorm headed in, but no hot cocoa available? One of the main reasons I wanted to go was to see the mansion...but we only got to spend time in one room...? Waste of money for something I was really looking forward to. Make some effort! Blossoms of Light is wonderful...try to put a little more effort into your Halloween event!

I was gifted a membership last year when I moved to Denver and it's the best housewarming gift I've ever gotten. The gardens are beautiful all year and it's so great to be able to visit a green (and every other color!) oasis in the city. They also do a lot of research and education for sustainability and climate issues.

A lot of work goes into maintaining all of the flaura on display here. The variety of plant life especially the flowers are amazing and well worth the admission fee. It's a photographer's paradise, everything is laid out in a way that makes it easy to get the perfect shot. If you want to wow your friends with pictures of all the beautiful flowers that are available at this garden. It's a family-friendly location with plenty of clean public bathrooms available.

We visit the gardens about three times a year and they keep improving and enhancing the experience each time. They've completed an incredible number of capital projects in the many millions of dollars and have made themselves a premier atop for all of Denver and visitors to the Mile High City. Pretty good food available, usually an outdoor art exhibit in the gardens, plenty of planting ideas for your home garden and just a peaceful beautiful place to spend a few hours or all day.

The flowers are blooming! We had a great visit. Right now they have a lot of sculptures out and the weather is perfect. I got in 8000 steps in kust a few hours. Entrance cost is inexpensive and it is perfectly maintained.

Such a gorgeous place to go spend the day! I've been once with my brother and another time with my husband and kiddos, both times there were special sculptures that made the trip more enjoyable. Make sure to pack sunscreen, water, & an umbrella & I'd definitely suggest packing a lunch or eating before/after, the food we got there was okay but overpriced.

One of the best botanic gardens I've been to around the world. So full of color, flower diversity, and incredibly spacious.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I'd 100% make this a Denver must do event.
