Very nice. Great introduction to Rocky Mountain ecosystem and native flora. The tropical greenhouse is quite impressive, but should be much larger considering they've allowed a half dozen trees to reach super-size. Nice bonsai collection. Highly recommended for plant enthusiasts!

These gardens are amazing for their variety, density, and design. Each garden has a theme, from Romantic to various native Colorado habitat to tropical to Japanese and more. Sculpture, ponds and fountains are also included in the design, which efficiently contain a rich amount in a small space, yet without feeling cramped. There's even a separate children's garden and a Science Pyramid. Two restaurants serve food, one indoor with sandwiches and the other further from the entrance is a grill with burgers and wood-fired pizza. On top of that, plenty of open spaces are used for outdoor concerts, weddings, and other events. Exercise, fresh air and beauty for hours, less expensive and more satisfying than a movie.

I've been to the Missouri Botanical Gardens, one of the top 5 in the world, and expected to be really disappointed in Denver's, since I knew it was much smaller. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Almost every square inch of the property is utilized, and yet when you go from area to area, each is nicely isolated from the other. My favorite places were the large pond in back and the Japanese Garden. While sitting next to the pond, I felt like I was in a remote forest, and it was so relaxing. I love the bamboo structures that floated about. The Japanese garden is serene, as it should be. Then we had a burger at the outdoor restaurant, and it was surprisingly good! We spent 3 hours one afternoon, and it was quite enjoyable.

Loved it and even though is winter season we had a great time! It's a big place! So be prepared to walk but also bring your picnic or I'm sure on summer time they will sell food. But overall it was great, staff there was very kind too and very accessible to all ages

A very well planned place with every type of garden for every kind of plant enthusiast. We visited in September and the spent perennials were trimmed, flowering Dahlia's staked, and the annuals were taking over as the color display. Definitely worth a visit. The only suggestion I would provide is the need for more free standing signs that show a map of where you are in the park. The Covid has forced patrons to photograph a copy of the orientation site map showing a circulation plan that is mostly unrecognizable from what is on the ground. But it's ok to just wander around in a circular pattern and hit just about every garden. The desert plants are encountered about the time we were thirsty and lo and behold there was a food station and bathrooms.

Awesome place to visit. So many plants to look at. The refection pools with all the lotus flowers is such a neat photo. Christmas time is a must. The lights are beautiful. Buy some of those diffraction glasses they sell. They will take the experience to the next level and the kids love them. Next door there is a huge children's garden/play area. My two year old loved it. Lots of other kids, lots of great picture opportunities. I am so thankful for these places.

It is very pleasant here, and relaxing. Well organized and manicured... I would maybe see this Before seeing any part if the Rockies, as this felt anti-climactic to the wilderness that surrounds... ironic, really. Good for families and tourists who like easy day trips. I got in free b/c I belong to Selby Botanical Gardens, so, it was nice that they honored that. Nice, but not on my must-see list.

These gardens are extremely peaceful and are such a great gem around the city. I have a membership, and walk here at least once a week to get some work done, read a book, and sip some tea in these spectacular gardens

A fantastic botanical gardens better I think then some of the botanical gardens in New York City which were quite a disappointment. I think the volunteers make a big difference here they work really hard and they're always updating everything highly recommended if you come to Denver.

One of my favorite places in Denver! It's got a beautiful Japanese garden, a teahouse, and educational center and so much more! Concerts during the summer are a bit expensive but they bring in great acts. You can rent space for weddings or other personal events. And in addition to the SPECTACULAR Blossoms Of Light during Christmas, there are some really cool things that pass through here (i.e. corpse flower), so make sure to get event updates in some fashion.

This is my third visit and I wasn't sure how the gardens this time of year could compare to the summer when I was last here. It is certainly not as abundant in the winter months; the lily pad pond is drained, and so many things are dormant; however the gardens did a great job of filling in with a fantastic variety of tulips and other seasonal color so that it was still an amazing visit. One of my favorite botanical gardens!

Amazing! Vast gardens in a variety of garden styles. My daughter and I didn't a few hours there and could have happily doesn't the whole day there! Fantastic bonsai and Japanese gardens.

This place is beautiful. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits. Lily pads, jungle environments, a corpse flower, shade gardens, amphitheater, a couple of cafes/restaurants and venus flytraps. FREE PARKING!

Beautiful garden. I was amazed by the sheer variety of everything from grasses and herbs, to succulents and cacti. Our only mistake was not coming a couple days sooner to see Stinky the corpse flower.

My husband and I got married here and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed working with the staff and the venue could not be more perfect for a summer time garden wedding. They even gave us a free membership afterwards to thank us for having our wedding there.

An oasis in the city! Interestingly, this Japanese garden was designed by the same person as the Missouri and Chicago Botanic Gardens' Japanese gardens. It's fun to compare them. In Denver, there's less available space so the garden is intense-- and lovely at all times of year.

Beautiful place. Friendly volunteers ready to answer questions. Lots of benches scattered around the gardens to allow you rest places and a time to sit and contemplate the beautiful surroundings.

Visited here for the christmas lights display in the evening with family~ Some had never experienced Denver in the winter and we're quite cold unfortunately. If you dress and bundle up properly you can go through quite leisurely and stay quite toasty! This botanical garden keeps lovely and interesting specimens all year round keeping folks coming back!

Beautiful area. Parking lot was full so parking was arduous. We found a delightful children's garden above the parking garage. You must show your Botanical Garden ticket to get in. There were paths to follow and a huge sand area to dig in, water to play and run through. There was a wonderful vegetable garden to explore. It was a large area for children that adults would enjoy too.

In the day it was peaceful and not anymore. Hard to even get a coffee in the cafe, with the lines. Be prepared for the crowds and no parking. Still a great beautiful place but not as peaceful. Took a class and here is my masterpiece.

Love our Botannical Gardens. One of my favourite things about Denver. Highly recommend membership-very worthwhile to help support. Great place to take friends/family- when visiting here in Denver.
Every year there is a different type of Art "Installation" incorporated within the ambiance of the Gardens. Amazing, beautiful, enchanting place. Don't miss the Conservatory-Arboretum!!
Restrooms& food available. Nice little cafe in main building. Many benches, gazebos, etc...where one can sit, rest, reflect, gaze... while wandering through this Wonderland.
Fabulous (& somewhat-"pricey") giftshop featuring original, hand-crafted items- designed by various Artisans. Fun to look & "vicariously enjoy" as well.
** Comfortable walking shoes "A Must for "strolling" through the Gardens. Beautiful, peaceful place to spend one's time while enriching one's spiritual being- healthful for the whole Mind- Body-Spirit connection as well as revitalizing one's appreciation of the "Natural World"

Great customer service, knowledgeable employees. Good entrance fee although gift store a little higher priced which tends to be normal for these establishments.
We visited in March when pretty well everything was brown, but it was still beautiful and serene.
Definitely a must see when in bloom.
