Overall, an incompetent and argumentative children's clinical staff. If you are seeking children's care and want your own input regarding your child's behavior disregarded and devalued at every turn... Go here. Otherwise it would be in your best interest to find another place of care that will respect the integrity and your wishes of your family.

They will try to make you feel as if you are incapable of knowing what you do know about your own children and often make the mistake of taking sides. We have had people that have spent absolutely no time with our child or with us either in our home or in their office attempt to tell us that they somehow know our child and our child's motivations better than we do, and that there is no way for us to know them as we do.

While it is healthy for a therapist to challenge perspectives and assumptions, it is another thing entirely to take a combative position that devalues and excludes parental input.

They have such a high turn over rate that no real progress will get made... As all of the time is used up in building trust and establishing norms... No real depth gets met.

There is also an overarching theme in all if their home based workers that we have met over the years that they consistently either don't want to be providing home based care or they don't want to be working with children at all. This is based off of clear and direct statements made to us in the context of the care that they were attempting to provide, and may shine some insight on why turnover rate has been so high.

Avoid this place unless you have no other choice.

DO NOT use this facility- Ive been trying to get seen since Oct- they cannot seem to understand/get my insurance entered into their computer system correctly so I wait and wait to be seen... as of mid Dec I am STILL trying to get into therapy I am in talk with a malpractice attorney for denying me treatment - hygeria dropped the ball "I dont know if we accept your insurance" funny, I found out out yes, after just One phone call to my insurance

Use to go there from age 15 to 19 and stopped when the dr. Began to argue with me after refusing to see me on a emergancy basis. I had a horrible reaction to my medication and she instead of taking me off it upped it! So I took myself off and never went back. The dr. Proceeded to argue with me in the lobby as if I did not matter or as if I was telling stories of how I was reacting to the meds. Complete bs!

I lost my Medicaid and my case worker cancelled my appointment. I could no longer see the nurse practitioner or get refills on my medication. Even when I was able to see the nurse practitioner, getting a refill was like pulling teeth. I once left 3 voicemails with the nurse. When she finally called me back, she said I would have to "wait it out a couple days." I had to go to COPE and wait 6 hours to get a prescription. Ridiculous.

I tried to make an appointment with a doctor (switch PCPs) and they never called me back saying that my insurance accepted it. I have Medicare and Medicaid. I asked them if there was an available appointment (This was almost 5 months ago) and they asked me what medications I'm on. I have chronic pain so I do take opioid pain medication, and they basically judged me and said to me "You know if you go here, they're not going to prescribe you narcotics." Did I ask? No! I have an OBGYN who takes care of my pain, she's my pain management doctor. I just needed to go there to get my blood work checked, and they made me feel like a criminal. Kind of glad now they didn't call me back with my insurance, they seem really snobby and condescending there. Just because you have psychiatric problems and medical problems doesn't mean you're a junkie.

very disappointed in the whole process. called the pre-admit number, who told me that intakes are done M-F, 830-530 and its walkin only, first come first serve. I took my daughter there about 345, where the lady practically laughed at me..saying their office closes at 5, and intakes are by apt. only. so made an apt for the following week, taking time off work. sign in, fill out the paperwork, give her everything she asked for and then waited. only for her to call me back up, to tell me "oh we cant see your daughter here, you need to go across the hall" go across the hall, to then be told.." well we can get her in, in about 2-3 wks. needless to say, we walked out and will be going elsewhere.

Alright, well, I'm kinda sad I have to make this one, but here it is..

I've been going here in the Chidrens Section for a rough year. I love it, it has the best staff I could ever imagine and is very sweet.

The only problem is, they dont take private insurance, the only take Medicaid and Meridian.

But, with that aside, Amazing staff, My NP was amazing! And Its an overall great place

This place is amazing. I discovered Hegira from a referral from the ER. They offer mental health and substance abuse help. They welcome ANYONE. Insured or not. If you have trouble paying they will still see you, and help you file for state aid/ or payment assistance. I have been to dozens of places... and my therapist here is THE BEST THERAPIST I VE EVER HAD!

The worst place I have ever seen. This place was not helpful even in the slightest. I absolutely recommend you go literally anywhere else. The doctors are terrible. After the appointment they were supposed to call in the medication and would not do so for DAYS. My pharmacy could not get ahold of the office at all. If I could I would give them zero stars. Please don t go here if you want help. This place deserves to be shut down.

An appointment was arranged through the 'Gatekeeper, "Access", )the prior week. On the scheduled day, I arrived early to learn the office opened at 9, not 8:30, as I had been informed.
Once entering the facility, the staff stated a 'walk-in' appointment was not available. When I informed staff this was NOT walk-in, but scheduled via Access, staff stated she knew of no such service called Access. Subsequent phone calls resulted in locating a person who saw I HAD arranged an an appointment..I ncourage others to email the Wayne County Mental Heath Board with your concerns
