Great headphone shop. Knowledgeable staff and a superb selection.

Bought some high end headphones from then (Focal Elears) a few months later the cable broke. I contacted them for warranty and it took three attempts to get a response and since then I have not received a reply for around a month now.

Update: I have now received a response and they are sending over a cable.

Good place to buy a high-end headphones. You can try the headphones out before buying it and the proprietor is very knowledgeable about the products he sells and he will help you out to make the right decision especially when buying an expensive headphones.

Visited the store today to try some headphones. The owner was very informative and not pushy at all. He let me try on 6 different pairs and definitely took the time to point out the pros and cons of all of them. I ll be back this Saturday to purchase one of the headphones. They have all the high end headphones that you can t find at bestbuy and other big box stores. Prices are also very good (same as online). Would highly recommend.

Went in and spent some time trying on different iems and headphones, owner was very helpful without being pushy or trying to upsale me on anything. Ended up walking out with the headphone and amp that best fits my tastes. This place has a great selection of headphones all of which you can actually try before buying. Reading other people s impressions online only goes so far. Range of selection is good as well, so if your looking for a pressure free environment to find a headphone that best suits you this is the place to go. Cheers.

Travis really knows his stuff and has an excellent selection of headphones. No comparison between buying headphones here vs best buy/amazon etc. Here you can try on as many types of headphones as you can think of and Travis will do a great job of directing you to finding something you love that fits your budget. Would recommend to anyone.

The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, the selection was entirely adequate although I had asked to be notified when a particular item was in stock and I have yet to receive an email several months later. Twice I have had to wait long periods of time before being helped but I believe that's because a high quality of customer service is provided here and I appreciate it.

Had some issues with my Fiio E10K bought as a gift a while back but still under warranty. Exchanged flawlessly 10/10 service.

I love this place! I've bought several pairs of headphones here, and was over the moon to win a pair of Focal last year. Wonderful selection and service - really, top-notch customer service!

Service is great! The guy there seems really knowledgeable and majority of his prices are competitive. Unfortunately I have had an experience where he wasn't on time during shop opening, but maybe he had an emergency or something.

As a discerning audiophile, who can become borderline obnoxious when talking sound quality, I really really love this shop. The selection is well-curated, the owner very experienced, and there is something here at all price points for all audiences. I also find the pricing competitive if not better than USA, factoring exchange, customs, and hassle. I do not believe you can make a bad purchase here, other than going into debt!

A really bad attitude towards business and customer relationship. Ordered headphones was promised to get them within a few days never got the message and finally when I went in, to ask for them I was told that he is sorry - human error he just forgot to order them and he will not be ordering them again. Good attitude..

Great selection and a knowledgeable and friendly owner. It's just the one guy, though, so it's better to drop by since sometimes emails and calls take a back seat to walk-ins.

The owner (forget his name) is a very nice guy. He was attentive to my needs, not trying to sell me on anything and allowed me to try various earbuds. I will definitely be doing more business with him in the future.

The space at Headphone Bar is set-up for demos, which is a god send if you're a newbie like me and have no idea which headphones will suit your personal preferences best (online reviews only go so far).

I had a great experience there and would recommend anyone to go there if they need new headphones, a dac/amp, and/or accessories. Support a local store by shopping here instead of the big-box electronics or department store!

Love this place, great headphone place to demo high end headphones, amplifiers, DACs and have all your audio questions answered. They always have a sale on various items in stock. Check it out. You're never ever pressured into buying something if you come in for a look.

There's a lot to like about Headphone Bar. The owner is knowledgeable, personable and gives good customer service. There's a great selection with several highly regarded brands and models. All products and prices are well displayed. The prices are fair. The web site is current, well organized and regularly updated.

That said, there's one problem. In a word it's noise.

When I'm dropping serious money it's important that I am able to evaluate and compare before making a purchase. I've been an audiophile for decades and I know what to listen for. But the constant heavy street traffic just outside the door, and the sound of the patrons coming and going and talking makes it impossible to listen to the equipment in such a way that it can be properly assessed. So much detail and nuance is simply buried by the ambient noise, even when listening at high volumes.

The store is physically too small for a dedicated and isolated listening room. So until if and when it can expand to a bigger store one solution is to permit the borrowing of items with a suitable deposit and/or fee. This isn't unheard of. Years ago it was common practice in the better hifi stores to loan equipment for home evaluation.

Fantastic selection, great service, helped me do a warranty replace on my Westones with minimal-to-no headache right before my warranty ended.

I called Long & McQuade looking for a specific pair of headphones and the guy on the phone told me they didn't have it in stock. I asked him where else I could find them and he graciously recommended the Headphone Bar. What an awesome guy!

The Headphone Bar is pretty cool. You get to try on different pairs of headphones to see if they are comfortable to you and if you like the sound. Spent a while in there comparing different headphones. Travis was great to talk to and deal with. Walked out with a set of new headphones. Coming back next time I need a pair. Also everything thing seems to be fairly priced.

If you want to try out some headphones with your own phones/players/devices/music, note that they don't have free WiFi. But you can always listen to their music selection instead.

Trash customer service and didnht reply my email after me saying that they shoukd pay the shipping fee because when they send the product the product is alredy broken and they never replyed. You are the one who send the head phone with tiny holes on the button.

Very happy with my purchase. 5 stars for this store, which specializes only in headphones ---- hard to find a bricks-and-mortar store like this nowadays, much less in Western Canada. He even delivered my headphones himself once because I told him I was leaving for a trip the next day and would only be able to accept the parcel in a weeks time. I got to enjoy the headphones that night before my trip! How cool is that? Overall an awesome shop with a personal touch you can t find anywhere else.

the guy literally knows everything about headphones - all from experience. A non eye-catching shop in near the cambie station, but terrific service and you can try on every headphones, such as the $1500 grados to the $50 earbuds. One of the best shops in Vancouver!

Has probably the nicest and friendliest shopkeeper in Vancouver. He's always super help and extremely knowledgeable. If you need headphones or headphones accessories this is the place to go.

Ok, so I really need to address the customer service of this retailer... I can tell you it's nothing short of spectacular.

To preface this, I have not been to the store in person, and have purchased online only.

I had some questions regarding products on their site so I called in. They answered my questions promptly and with great information... only after did I realize their shop is listed as closed on the Wednesday! Ok, that's +1 for great service.

I placed an order that night. Within a couple hours, I had notification that my product has shipped... Really???? Well it did, really. (+1 again) Product had left BC by Thursday, and I had it in my hands by Friday... I know this is partially Canada Post actually doing well too, but for them to ship out on a day they are closed and have it to me within 2 business days, I have to say I am absolutely impressed. They did a great job and steered me in a great direction. So huge kudos to you guys at headphone bar. I'll definitely have to stop in and say thanks next time i'm in town!

They screwed up my order. It happens. But when I finally received it, they threw in a few extras and apologized for the trouble.

When you are putting down this kind of money for the kind of products they sell here, these guys reminded me of exactly why I prefer to go with a smaller company.

Had an issue with my Fiio earphones just after 2 months of use and this shop took care of my warranty claim with ease.

Ordered Beyerdynamic Amiron Home headphones from this store Friday from BC, came today Monday to Ontario.
Just breaking them in with " The Last Samurai" soundtrack, and they sound great, especially soundstage-wise.
Fantastic pre-sales support from Headphone Bar, much-appreciated and highly recommended establishment to deal with.

Do Not Trust This Company For Online Purchases
I bought an opened box iFi DAC from this company. It claimed it was like new, but when it arrived, it turned out being defective. I've owned many DACs and have been enjoying DSD files from my PC for years, so I know how things work, and how they are supposed to sound. After experiencing issues with the device, I contacted HFB. They told me they'd 'run tests' and what not from their end on another device. They never did. They never got back to me until I decided to return the device, for which they had me pay by the way. So it cost me over 20$ shipping to return it to them. They finally refunded me the price of the item, but refused to pay for shipping. They claimed that the said device worked properly, insinuating that the issue was on my end. I'm playing all forms of DSD as I'm typing now without the issues the iFi had.
I wrote to them to ask for a complete refund and they simply ignored my email and brushed me off. I will never do business with these guys ever! Their loss in the end.

Only place in Vancouver that has such wide collections of hi-fi headphones and equipments to let you compare.

I am sort of an entry level guy. Went in looking for bluetooth earbuds. I thought i was going to buy the Fiio F9 Pro with optional bluetooth wires based on reviews, but after A/B with my trusty RHA MA750s, I didnt like them. The proprietor, getting a good sense what i was looking for, suggested the nuforce BELive 5s, which are significantly less expensive, and they fit the bill.
This is the third time i have gone into the store with an idea of what i want, and have come out with what i really like and need instead, and not always for more $ either.
He really knows his stuff and is up front about what works and whats good in your budget!

My review is based on comparison with big box stores. First off, you can try before you buy which is huge compared to most other stores and online. Second, their prices are comparable and they price matched for me. My experience was great, I tried on lots of headphones for comfort and looks. Then after narrowing down, the owner helped me pair my phone with each headphone and left me to listen. Suggestion for customers, do your research online and determine which kind of headphones you want (price, wireless, over ear, noise cancelling is what I chose) before you physically shop.

Product pricing is, as said earlier, very excellent! I was expecting to pay a lot more than I did. I bought headphones about four months ago now and they are still going strong. I got to sit there for about thirty minutes trying different headphones until I found the one I liked. No where else seems to do that! I went to Future Shop and Best Buy beforehand and trying to buy something there is a frustrating customer experience. Headphone Bar is chill and not pushy by any means.

This is how it's done. Amazing product, killer and knowledgeable service. Even when I've been in there with 5 other people (it's a small-ish space) the owner somehow manages to bounce between all of us and answer every question we had. Have made 3 purchases there and if my visa doesn't melt soon I'll be making 3 more.
