Nice little store. The lovely shop keeper offers samples of every chocolate. The chocolate itself is delicious. Surely more expensive compared to supermarket stuff but really worth it.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff - ask for a lottle tour to hear all about their process
Chocolate factory, they give you to try the different chocolates they have
This place a was a gem of a find while travelling around the Burren. Can be found if you travel the Atlantic way. Well worth a visit
Truly excellent cafe. Wonderful sweets and hot chocolate in a cozy farmhouse environment.
Food is of the absolute highest quality and the service is excellent.
Make sure you check out the chocolate shop too! Their chocolate is amazing and the staff are wonderful.
Great place to have a sweet snack on a day out !! Great and fast service ,great food and just a great place in general 100% recommend it to everyone as a day out or just a quick stop for a quick snack
Incredibly expensive and honestly, the chocolate was a little bland.
Chocolate oasis!
Super friendly staff, wonderful place and tasty everything from coffee to teas and cakes.
Totally recommended!
A nice little cafe / restaurant with very good food. Cakes and coffee are both excellent and it goes without saying that anything with chocolate in it is first class. The choclatiers is well worth a visit and a short tour with a very enthusiastic guide is interesting and informative. Of course you will leave there with loads of lovely hand made chocolate. Well worth a visit and definitely going back soon.
The best cafe I have been to! All items on the menu are gluten free and the gf & df chocolate cake is to die for! Definitely stop in here if you get the chance!
If your easily tempted by chocolate, this not the place for you
Best carrot cake I think I've ever had! Signage on the road made us think it was more than a cake cafe and we had actually stopped looking for lunch however we got came and coffee and were not disappointed!!
Very nice little shop, factory and cafe. And very good chocolate (a bit expensive, though)
Amazing place in such a remote area. It was a surprise visit that brought me here. I absolutely love the style of it and the layout and especially the organic produce which I believe is very important. The history of the place is amazing to know and read about and I would love to go back and see the workers in the chocolate factory making the chocolate. The lady in the shop was super nice (we were still there after closing hours!) and also the lady that served us was so nice and friendly. I was so happy with the food also it was amazing! I also love how they cater for everyone as they had a choice of alternative milks available. The hot chocolate there is amazing and they have a variety of different hot chocolates to choose from. In very excited to return there again and I'll definitely be bringing some friends there with me. Such a great experience. I'd highly recommend it to everyone!
Sweet little chocolate factory in the middle of nowhere. But is pretty well signposted. You can see at production. We took chocolate and cocoa tea with us. The chocolate was fine, I had tried better ones. The tea was More
The place is a delight, beautiful to take pictures, but the coffee ...
Love the guided tour up the Burden with John. He was incredibly knowledgeable and easy going.
The most wonderful chocolate shop I ve ever been to. The hot chocolate is to die for. The chocolate cake is super moist. Great service!
Very very expensive for a very limited selection of chocolate. Wouldn't be in a hurry back.
It's slightly out of the way and somewhat frustrating to reach but this "Bean-to-Bar" chocolate factory imports high quality beans, make their own chocolate from scratch and sell a variety of interesting flavours as well as cocoa tea and coffee. Don't miss their hot cocoa in the cafe, it's amazing.
As a chocolate lover this is a must.Excellent coffee and hot chocolate.Loved the dark chocolate.
Even though Charlie was on holiday, a most wonderful experience with an amazing collection of fabulous cakes!
Young Irish guys who inherit the passion for chocolate and create wonderful things ... Winners of numerous awards ... Do not miss the honey and lavender praline!
We popped into Hazel Mountain Chocolates while in the area - yummy coffee and chocolates - 2 of our favourite things
A must for all chocolate friends !!!!
Very friendly service
Very bad. Guy at the counter did not want to talk, refused to offer us a sample. Other guests walked in and he immediately offered them a sample. Do not recommend.
On the way from Galway to Cliff of Moher please visit this small handmade chocolate factory ... Very charming very good service very tasty chocolate ... Here you should get something to buy home ... Really Special
Simple amazing! Like in the tales, a chocalete factory, I was Charlie for an hour
Friendly staff who told about the differences in chocolates. He gave samples too. Worth the quick stop
If you are a chocolate lover, you should visit this place.
Everything very informative and the chocolate also tastes very good. But is also the most expensive, which I have ever seen.
Words can't describe, a must visit if you are a fan of real chocolate!
A hidden gem to not be missed. Just go to chocolate factory. The gift shop has some small batch family business products to choose from.
Free samples are what drew me in and I ended up buying some of the best chocolate I've ever had.
They are happy to explain everything you might need to know about chocolate .
:)
I would not have missed this place. Far from nowhere and a good cup of coffee mmmmmm.
Luckily on our way back from the Cliffs of Moher we saw the signs to this gem. Staff was pleasant and very helpful when explaining the things they offer. The food, delicious and presented elegantly and was full of different flavors that compliment each ingredient used. Highly recommend this cafe and the chocolate factory in the back as it is nice pit-stop before your journey back to your final destination.
Cool store. We stopped here during our tour to the cliffs. Awesome staff. We had the opportunity of sampling chocolate. Good stuff.
We had a good time! Cake excellent, maybe a bit expensive but you get really top products and nice people!
Great cafe, with delicious cakes, chocolates and coffee. Very friendly. The chocolatiers can be watched at work. Even on Sundays.
During a guided tour to the Cliffs of Moher, the driver recommended Hazel Mountain as a place to stop along the way. They have a cafe in front, and the chocolate "factory" in around the right side of the building. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman running the front desk who then gave us a tour of where the make the chocolate and explained the entire process from bean to box. We tried some samples and ended up buying 5 boxes of chocolate to take home as gifts. If you love chocolate, I cannot recommend this place enough. You won't be disappointed.
Hot chocolate was average, actually below average for this price tag. Nothing exciting about this place.
The best cafe in Ireland. The chocolate is a dream.
We were lucky to drive past through this place and we knew we had to turn around! A fantastic f&b menu that is not following the norm, interesting flavours for who loves their belly and beautiful decor! Check the gift shop and working space at the back, try a raw cocoa bean! Hidden gem, really!!
Staff very helpful and the quality of the products is superb.
We took a slight detour to try the chocolate and based on other Irish chocolate factories we visited, we were excited to try it. The flavor of the chocolate we bought just wasn't as great unfortunately. Cafe was closed. Their store and factory are beautiful though.
Very well presented nice family buisness very friendly
Worth a visit, the service is excellent and the patron has a passion for the product. Great food.
Lovely chocolate shop tour. Processes chocolate from bean to bar.
A unique place. They make single source chocolate which they roast the whole raw cocoa beans themselves. One of the sales people gave us a quick private tour of how they made the chocolate (it's very small) with tasting and smelling the beans at different stages. Worth the stop!
Lovely chocolate, amazingly knowledgeable staff and a great cafe
this is a wonderful little spot. smells like heaven! and most importantly they sell very tasty chocolate. the cafe sells the most beautiful cakes too. can t wait to visit again
Accidentally stumbled upon this place and found it a highlight of the day. Lovely cafe with farm to table food, much of which was gluten free (we had some delicious brownies/cake to go) and an incredibly interesting chocolate shop! We didn't officially sign up to a take a tour, but got one anyway from the exceedingly friendly gentleman manning the shop. Learned about a ton about chocolate that we never knew and tried/purchased some delicious items. We wished we had more time to spend or that we were staying closer and could have returned. Try the Raspberry Rose Truffle if it's there when you are... delicious!
The tour is very informative and fun. If you love chocolate book it. Afterwards a good hot chocolate and cake in the cafe and you had a perfect day
Super place had a beautiful vegetarian sandwich delicious :))) great place to visit.
What is there to say...? Hazel... Mountain... Chocolate....? Oh and the coffee is great too.
Must visit place for all chocolate lovers, unique factory, delicious chocolate and great coffee
Hidden gem.. Possibly the best carrot cake I've had!
Great cafe and chocolate us amazing! Free tasting of the chocolate too
come in and the first thing you hear is that chocolate aroma that comes through your nose ... the magic of perfume makes you feel good immediately.
The staff is extremely available and willingly explains the various differences between the various types of chocolate and how they work.
They have one goal: to become Money Frree, or prefer credit cards to cash.
Absolutely brilliant found out lots of information about the origins and the production of chocolate and of course the chocolate is amazing
Great experience, wonderful factory tour and delightful Cafe to dine in afterwards. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
I nice stop on a long road but very expensive for what you get
These people really know their stuff. I have never had chocolate this good.
Love this place, and the smell of chocolate and coffee...
The little museum is really too. recommend. The older man who works there gives it a pleasant atmosphere. The chocolates are all very tasty.
Another thing is the cafe.
We were only briefly at the counter and were asked to go out again with the information that we were served outside. We only wanted to look at the selection of cakes.
After a long wait, our order was taken. However, not everything that was ordered came. But we should pay for it anyway.
Fortunately, we don't have to.
Even if the cake and the hot chocolate were very tasty, you don't necessarily walk away blissfully happy.
