I wish it was just a bit less time to perform the simple tasks which I had performed. It took more than 2 hours of waiting. It was only a oil change and filter, check fluid levels, and after their recommendation flushed the radiator system although it was done once before by my brother who owned this car. He did it with about 7000 miles and now it had only 11,130f so a bit surprised it was recommended. I should have checked his maintenance records before arriving. I probably would have turned this recommendation down which added an additional cost of about $160.00. Also the car clearly is marked to require Mobil 5-30W synthetic oil I could not tell or was advise what was put into the corvette.
Very pleasant experience. John DeCrocker made it a painless process and I got the SUV that I wanted. I will be returning in the future.
I've used Hawthorne Chevy ever since I bought my 2003 Z06 back in 2014 & I would not trust anyone but Steve Kochan to manage it.
I initially brought it in for a 60k mile servicing [bought it with ~61k miles]. It was done quickly but throughly; Steve let me know the potential services that may need to be done in the future, as well as any immediate issues he could see.
Also, I noticed that my driver's seat did not have the Z06 stitching on it when I first bought the car - the passenger seat did, but the drivers' side did not. That bothered me a bit & made the car look unbalanced a little. Anyways, after the original 60k inspection, I noticed Z06 stitching on the drivers' seat. I was floored.. truly made my day & still makes me smile when I get in the car.
Those "little" things can make a huge difference..
Since that initial inspection, I have brought the car back for routine maintenance [now has 81k miles & runs/feels like new]. They have experience working on corvettes in particular, so they can spot usual issues with the cars & can get ahead of anything that may pose a problem. Their turn-around times are quite fast - even though that is not really as much of a concern as the quality of work to me, it's still nice to have the car back relatively quickly.
However, if they are busy, I don't mind waiting because Steve does such a great job - quality over quantity is how I feel & i've never been disappointed.
I don't mind paying their prices because they have always seemed reasonable when it comes to final cost - Steve always checks with me before doing anything & makes sure we're on the same page; it's to the point that I can probably predict what they'll work on the next time it goes in for servicing. Nice to know there won't be any surprises on the bill & that they take time to work with their customers.
Everything is annotated in their paperwork very neatly & very clearly, so understanding what is going on with your vehicle cannot be made any simpler.
Nobody but Steve Kochan will ever manage the service/repairs on my Z06. He is the stand-out example of how to properly treat a customer & their vehicle.
Could not be more impressed/happy with his work; would recommend him to anyone.

My Tahoe had a problem with the air conditioning lines running to the back of the vehicle. The repairs were done on time and everyone was extremely helpful. The problem is the air conditioning repair was extremely expensive and which sounds like it should be a recall issue

I arrived late at my appointment but they took care of my car quickly anyway . The launch room was comfortable. The coffee was good. No sugar though. I received a text welcoming me and offering help. But when I asked for help with the sugar by that text nobody answered. Also I asked personally to the agent but nobody cared.
At the end the car had been taking care of very well. Everything looks good so far. Thank you.
This was by far the best experience we have ever had with a dealership. Gary, our salesman, was honest, thorough, and straight to the point. He did not waste our time and gave us honest numbers immediately. Signing our paperwork was easy and very high tech! I liked that rather than leaving with a folder full of papers, they did the deal digitally and handed us a flash drive with a copy of our records saved on it! Mike in the service department might be the worst representative from this joke of a dealership. When he finally does return a call, after 5 messages over a week, he has the audacity to say I m doing you a favor. This Is after he contacts the wrong number repeatedly (it was updated to the correct number by him).

What a great experience buying a truck here especially my first new truck ever. I was always made to feel comfortable and they were able to find a truck that was in high demand quickly. Best Dealership Around!!! I purchased my car from Hawthorne about a year ago as they were offering a special on the Chevy Trax. Now, I have never owed a Chevy and like to work via phone. It was such an easy experience, but the best was when I got to their show room. They are the most customer oriented organization that I have ever come across and make you feel like the number one priority. From Internet Sales, to Service to the Head of the Company - anyone is there to help with any issue. I have always owned foreign cars, and although this dealership is about 30 mins from my home, but I am going to 100% purchase another vehicle when my lease is done.

Had to leave with no service done. Sent texts and emails with no response. Completely inexcusable to never receive a return call...

From the minute I called to inquire about the vehicle to the minute we drove our new car off the lot was amazing service. Everyone we encountered was extremely pleasant, and made our car buying experience enjoyable. Roland was an excellent salesman, along with everyone else involved in the transaction. Most importantly, they are HONEST.
I came to you after meeting with both Steve in Service and Dennis in Sales. Dennis was positive that you could help me, in fact, he said you were the only one who could help me. If you remember, this was the Fifth time my Wife s Traverse was brought in for service since the end of October. I m not sure that you ever apologized for our troubles. You did say this was the first time you were hearing of this, but in your defense, you were on vacation the fourth time the car came in. Clearly you were working during the third time the car was towed in, and in your words, someone should have told you about this on the second visit. So, I don t know that vacation is much of a defense.
When I pressed you for next steps you were insistent that we needed to start from scratch. I am happy that Steve was there at the time, because I feel like he did a fairly good job of recapping the situation so far: faulty battery, dealership broken conductor that was replaced, new board for something and a new fuse block in the engine compartment. Still the battery drained a fifth time. After the recap, you had no answers and directed me to Open a claim with GM. No instructions were offered with this, no further guidance, only your assurance that you had been doing this a long time and this what you have to do. You were the third person I had contacted to get some assistance and your absolute willing ness to brush me off was not appreciated. If the only way to get help with the car I bought from your dealership, that is still under warranty, and that your Service department damaged when changing the battery, is to open a claim with GM, I don t see how my request that You open the ticket could be met with such hostility. You yelled at me. An adult customer, standing in your office, with your underling in the room and adjacent areas, who had brought his car in for service the fifth time for the same issue! Unprofessional does not cover it.
I am sure you are aware that I clearly and loudly expressed my disappointment to Dennis on my way out. His desperate attempt to direct me to person number four to complain to was soundly rejected.
It is no surprise to me that I have not heard anything from you, your department, or from GM (I did open a ticket with them.) I hope you are satisfied the level of service you provide and I hope you feel victorious because my wife still doesn t have a car. I continue to waste my time trying to get the issue resolved for her. Not to mention that I am paying a lease on a car I am unable to drive. Not to mention the obvious safety issue this car has become to my family. Not to mention you left us without a car over the Christmas Weekend and Holiday with not even an apology.

I think timing played a part in the great deal we got. However, everyone was very kind and helpful to us. Ryan one of the managers, is very up front, tells you how it is. He cuts to the chase and eliminates all of the dreaded back and forth that can be so time consuming and a real turn off. That is a quality that is hard to come by im this industry. Tomiki was very helpful in setting up and confirming appointments and information. Gary our salesman was also very transparent, not pushy in any way. We never felt rushed, pressured, or uncomfortable at any time. While we were walking around the showroom, every employee who passed us said hello and asked if we were being helped. It was nice to not feel overlooked in such a busy showroom. It was also convenient to text all needed info to our salesman which saved us a bunch of time at the dealership. We were able to arrive on the day of our pick up, sign papers and leave! We will definitely be recommending friends and family in the market to check out Hawthorne Chevy.

I was walking around for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come help me and I decided to take matters into my own hands and asked someone walking by for help. The sales man said he'll call someone to help me but no one came so I had to enter into one of the booths by myself. The person sitting there sounded like he had no interest talking to me and had no idea what I was asking him about. I will be taking my business to The Chevy dealer in Paramus instead, and I suggest you do to!
