Hawkins is a great company to work for. They value each of their employee while helping to develop their workforce through great training programs. The only employment ceiling I can think of at Hawkins is the amount of effort, desire, and positive attitude their employees are willing to put in. I started as a entry level laborer and now am a manager. I m not the only one, most of our Superintendents and company leaders have a similar story.

As for quality and timeliness of work, Hawkins prides itself of doing the right thing the first time. There s a saying that we finish on time and under budget. There are very few, if any, projects that I can remember that hasn t delivered on that promise.

I am thankful my husband has had many opportunities to grow within the company but I am grateful he hasn t had to give up his family life for his career. Hawkins understand family. Those values are hard to find these days. So if you re looking to maintain both these lifestyles... Hawkins would be a good start.

With Jobs ranging from paving, bridge, pipe, commercial building and infrastructure work there are many different avenues to pursue. Great company. Even as it grows into a major regional builder, the Hawkins' know all of their employees on a first name basis and are constantly looking for ways to improve company culture. Ted's boss Kurt has been a huge help in my professional development.

I have been dealing with this company since April 27th to get repairs completed due to a one of their construction trucks throwing a large rock at my vehicle and damaging the hood. It took over 2 weeks to hear back from anyone and their Safety Manager Ted, kept giving excuses that he would get to it and kept asking personal questions in an effort to not have to pay for the damage. On Friday May 29 finally got the email that the repair would be paid for at the body shop that gave the lowest estimate which I am fine with but I requested that they pay for a rental vehicle while its being repaired as the shop told me it would take 2 days. I called the talked to Kurt, Ted's boss who was a least bit concerned about my safety from the incident and didn't apologize for the damage caused. I asked him about the rental and he told me I would need to get an estimate and they would decide. Everything with this company is about you doing all the leg work to get repairs fixed when you are the victim. Ted the safety manager was rude to me every time I talked to him on the phone and seemed to not care what happened. Customer service is not this companies strong suit and they dont care about who they victimize. The damage is significant and costing about 900 dollars to repair. This would not have happened if their trucks were tarpped. I have been patient but there genuine safety and concern does not matter. If you ever experience a run with this company I wish you luck!

They don't respect truckers. Had to deliver to job site in La Vista NE . Crews were very rude. There is no place to turn around with my semi with 318 inch base. Nobody was trying to help. And got next truck to unload.
