Great hotel, location and country club. The staff is very nice. Only giving 3 stars for two particular reasons: rooms need renovation, in order for the prices to match what's being offered, and it would be great if the swimming pool was heated up, rather than being just tepid.

Doesn't feel like Marriot standard. Was hoping to have a relaxing luxury weekend which might've been the case if it wasn't raining and we were able to appreciate the grounds. But we can only judge the room, indoor facilities and food.

No air con so got quite hot during the night. Had the sheets changed as they were stained. Marble floor in bathroom was stained. Kingsize Bed was uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. Flush in bathroom wasn't working. Breakfast was tepid but expensive for what it is. Overall, it's overpriced for the standards presented. Unfortunately, wouldn't stay again.

Excellent stay for my partners 30th birthday, the staff were all extremely professional, attentive and polite but went the extra mile to be personable and interact with us. The grounds were beautiful and the spa and leisure club were excellent.

Superb! Service, staff, out of this world Afternoon Tea, beautiful rooms, lovely lounge and bar areas. Best spa weekend so far! Shame we could squeeze in one treatment which was a bit odd - basically had my hair pulled for 20 minutes, but it did relax me! Pool simply gorgeous and loved the layout of the spa. So light in there but not too revealing! Could do with longer adult swim sessions. Changing rooms well laid out but boy there are selfish people about who seem to think it's ok to hog a cubicle for over 20 minutes whilst hop in and out drying and styling their hair in a bra! Would highly recommend the hotel and the wine list!

We had a voucher to visit the spa here and we added on a couple of treatments too.

The spa area is cosy enough and revolves around the pool and jacuzzi. There are lots of places to sit but it was crowded with hotel guests inc children. It thinned out around lunchtime which allowed us to find a seat by the pool, the decibel level dropped and the relaxation began.

We both agreed that our therapists were amazing and the treatments the best we have had in quite a while.

Complimentary tea and coffee was a nice touch too.

We would certainly return for treatments as they were 5

Extremely disappointed as I write this review at 5.41am. Came her for a golf and spa retreat to recharge batteries. The day has been wonderful and relaxing by spoilt by all the many family's with there young children. Been so looking forward to getting a good night sleep only to be woken up by a screaming child at 4am this morning. I too have young children but left them at home with a sitter for night so I could have some peace and a much needed reset. I didn't think to check that kids would be staying here as it's a golf and spa hotel.

Overmuch noise from other rooms waking us. Not curbed despite complaints.
View. A brick wall and a rooftop
Dirty wellworn armchairs suitable for one star guest house.
Old outdated television system,.
Request for dressing gown not met
2 sets of flickering lights .
Impression that paying guests treated better than Marriot customers using points.
Wanted quite relaxing sleep and not ill the sportsty facilties but didnt get it.
Cost to us--- daylight robbery.

Such a beautiful place near Cambridge and London! It's worth the visit and the money to stay here even just for one night. We all loved the scenaries, greens, traditional Victorian styled houses. The food in the restaurant was standard British food, but the restaurant itself is so pretty that it's worth a try.

Beautiful scenic location, outside the manor is breathtaking, so you are hoping to have this beautiful charming room, plus I had an "executive room" (dearer one)...
In reality, below average room, no air conditioned, dated furniture and beds that were not the most comfortable...
I ordered room service and the menu I had in the room was out of Date! So the staff (extremely nice I must say) had to read the menu over the phone...
Ended up with an over cooked burger as meal and not a great area in the room to eat it..
Breakfast was overpriced, over cooked and felt Ike you were in a poor school cafeteria..
Overall, I would not recommend it come back...

The staff are lovely and the rooms comfortable (great beds). The hotel was being refurbished, which I didn't know when I booked, so there were fewer public areas - no lounges unless you wanted to eat or drink. The main restaurant was closed. The spa treatments (massage, manicure) were excellent. I didn't go to the spa because there were no free lying down chairs. I may go again once refurbished, but not before. So, a mixed review.

We stayed as a family this weekend and I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality, in particular, Samantha (at reception) for helping us to surprise my little sister and Andy who looked after us at dinner - the service was outstanding. He went above and beyond, ensuring that everyone was satisfied and catered for, including the baby! The whole family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we look forward to staying at Hanbury Manor again. Once again, thank you for making this such a wonderful and memorable stay.

Beautiful setting. Staff were friendly. Good golf course. Spa facilities good with swimming pool, sauna/steam and gym room. Evening menu wasn't particularly huge, but our party of 8 enjoyed the food immensely. Thought the bar within the hotel might open a bit later than 2330hrs!

Came for afternoon Mother's Day tea with my son- he was treating me! Kind and friendly staff, service was patchy as we had to wait a while to be served after initially sitting down.
Coffee was good and my son loved the black breakfast tea, said it was best he'd had!
Pastries were good, although we had to ask for someone to explain what they were( other places we've been, they introduce them as a matter of course) plant and voucher for another free tea were a nice touch.
Sandwiches were good, as we'd asked for white bread and plain fillings and they checked with us that that was correct!
All good would come again.
Not cheap though, beware of the service charge.

Lovely hotel with some great rooms. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful place for an event and the grounds are immaculate. Only issue children are only allowed in the pool from7-11am and only allowed back in at 2pm. I know adults like to swim and their are designated lanes for them but the pool is big enough for both.

I had the Christmas afternoon tea with a group of my girlie chums. Delicious food, served beautifully. The staff were so polite, welcoming and helpful. We couldn't even finish the food, so doggie bags were the order of the day!

Lovely country house hotel. Great food, pretty gardens, wonderful golf course and impressive refurbished meeting space. The built in interactive screens and whiteboards are incredible...never seen anything like it in a hotel.

A great weekend get away for sure. The manor is very spacious and there is lots to do. It s also easy to get lost which I d say is a plus too! The decoration as you d expect is quite vintage with paintings of monarchs on the wall, old fashioned carpets and furniture but it really adds to the feel.

We found the rooms were lovely and clean and very fresh smelling with tea and coffee provided along with a tv, wardrobe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Staff were friendly, breakfast was amazing and so were the facilities we used such as the bars, restaurants and the terrace. We would ve used the spa on our last day but we were slightly hungover and decided to do it next time. Really great place to get away from it all, loads of wildlife to explore too.

Went on a golfing weekend.

Went on a golfing weekend.
Golf course was lovely and room nice.
If the club are charging 6 pounds for a bacon bap and 9 pounds for a toasted sandwich I would expect them to be perfect. Instead I got a stale bap with cheap sausages. I got toasted bread with cold avocado and brie, not warm and no sauce or anything else. Disappointing for the money. No attention to detail. Also only 1 staff on the bar it took ages for food and drinks to be made. Considering they knew 35 lady golfers were coming not very well organised. Very small selection on our menu for dinner with winter food options being given to us instead of summer. Overall upsetting.

Beautiful and spacious grounds, the Manor is surrounded by gardens and a golf course. The pool and hot tub are very nice and located in the spa area where many of the country club members come and enjoy them. The steam room was great and service was pleasant. Only negative is none of the giant rooms have AC buy they did have fans and windows.
