Beautiful buildings and grounds. Restaurant food good although seemed a little understaffed.
Beautiful buildings and grounds. Restaurant food good although seemed a little understaffed.
An impeccable family weekend away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was great and relaxing, and the building oozes character and comfort.
It was an Awesome trip and memorable with couple of my close friend. They have quality services also food and drink was fantastic. Everybody enjoy the trip quite well. Highly Recommended
We traveled here as a surprise present for my mother s 60th(+2) The entire experience was was wonderful, the rooms were clean and spacious, the spa and gardens were beautiful and well maintained. The food was amazing & all the staff we encountered were sociable and friendly. A special mention to Luke on reception who checked us in originally, he was very welcoming, informative and helpful and the female head-gardener (sadly didn t catch her name) who stopped for a conversation with us to tell us the history of the grounds and was also extremely welcoming and happy.
What a lovely place to stay, very helpful and accommodating. Thanks
Really disappointed this time. The swimming pool area has the most uncomfortable seats imaginable. I have a bad back an cannot sit in an upright chair for the day and this is what they expect you to relax in. I couldn t wait for the day to end and would not recommend it. And there were plastic hard seats without cushions. The other disappointing thing , was walking a ridiculously long way through the hotel in a bath robe , that s huge and heavy , only to find you are amongst other diners in ordinary dress. Making a very uncomfortable lunch. Why the spa restaurant cannot be next to the spa is beyond me. The fruit selection was an apple and the free coffee was rightly free as it tasted of chlorine. The pool was noisy and no one seemed to mind screaming children. Not at all a place to come to if you want to relax.
Lovely place for a weekend treat service is good and food lovely leaves you feeling relaxed
Great ambience and second to none service beautiful setting and grounds all friendly staff
Lovely rooms, nice surroundings, nice helpful staff. One fault it that the food/drinks are a little over priced
Nice place spoilt by the stench of local waste centre
Tried a Sunday breakfast. All round excellent, couldn't fault it. Surprisingly busy though.
Beautiful building and grounds. Staff were very friendly and room had all we needed.
Absolutely stunning and staff was so polite and accommodating x
Superb venue my Son got married there. The staff were superb and nothing was a bother. You could'nt ask for a better place to get married.
Brilliant location for a wedding we attended, lovely venue for some great photos, awesome service and great food, the room looked a little outdated but was ok, drinks were overpriced, expect to pay a small fortune, 5 drinks for just under More
Don't bother calling the reservations team..... absolutely dreadful experience with two different agents telling me two different things about a spa package and the third telling me the package didn't exist.... all this just to make a reservation.
UPDATE!!
Having now just spoken to the 5th person, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. What an absolute joke of a hotel!!
Beautiful place, food lovely . staff lots of them. And very helpful . done everything for you,, rooms, lovely decor, beds very comfy ..but... I waited 40 mins for the reception to get our room sorted then they asked us to wait in very comfy lounge for another 20 mins.we were meeting with people and it takes me time to get ready I'm disabled so I found this a problem for me I asked for a room near the lift got it. asked for shower so that I could walk into .I got a bath with shower inside bath couldn't use it as I couldn't climb in, I could have complained but was only there for one night so I made do , duvet was too thin for this time of year so chilly at night no way to turn rads on .drinks very expensive ,now I know hotels are always dearer but thought they were over the top. if you are disabled do make sure you stress your disabilities they may have walk in showers they may have disabled rooms but was not told otherwise even though I told them when booking I was disabled . Note to self always ask although never had this problem before in other hotels The place itself is beautifully kept and the place is well worth a visit would I return I never say never but it's worth a stay .
Stunning hotel and stay!! We stayed for the weekend while visiting family with our furry friend. Staff were amazing and lovely to our little doggie too!! Food was amazing!!
WERDJS had the pleasure of providing our services for a birthday celebration within The Garden Court of these grounds. Really nice space of party s, weddings etc, garden area was very well maintained and made even better due to weather. The golf course was very busy so can only assume is popular?
Course in great condition always a friendly welcome in Pro shop. Nice bar for post-round round relaxing.
Fantastic setting. Excellent staff and great facilities . It's just a tad expensive especially for drinks that prevents the 5 star
Had the afternoon tea with family before my wedding. Had a great time! Food was fresh and varied. Lots of options for tea, bubbles and gin!
Another great hotel feom Marriott.... great location and very quiet place
Great venue. The room decor did look a little 'tired' however.
Sam at the reception was very nice friendly and helpful! 100% would recommend
Very large, many places to explore, I enjoyed it throuroghly minus that it didn't have air conditioning but it's cold in England anyways so it's okay
Attended a meeting/party in one of the many halls. I didn't stay overnight, but the staff, were very helpful courteous. Parking was a bit scattered and dark as you have to park a good walk away from the main building, and rooms are very scattered. But they have a buggy service to drive you around the hotel grounds. Car park could do with more lighting as walking to your car during the night is difficult especially if you have kids, however the buggy service can take you to your car park area, if you want to.
Lovely location. Impossible to navigate your way around this hotel.
Lovely building, great staff. Slightly average food and wine for the price.
A very enjoyable experience we had..Will recommend Hanbury Manor Golf course and hotel..
Truly good place to spend a weekend . Remarkable atmosphere , and good value for money . Will be returning , but next time I m playing gold as well .
Attended corporate event, perfect service and setting.
Hotel was a amazing experience
Spa amazing and clean, treatments were enjoyable!
Excellent eating experience in the cast iron grill.
From walking in the door and being greeted by Andreea , seated and drink order taken. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. She was the best waitress I ve had in a long time! Service unreal and nice and polite! Andreea made our stay!
Had a lovely stay in Hanbury manor, a stunning county club just outside London ideal for a short vacation combined with or from London. It s a historic building with beautiful grounds & golf courts around it. Lovely atmosphere, great stay.
4 star property but 3 star restaurant. Food in Cast Iron Grill was well cooked but nothing special but it was twice the price of comparable restaurants. We ate out at the Sea Tree in Ware which I would recommend. Hotel room was very good and Spa facilities all good too.
We got married at Hanbury Manor last month. I found the website after lots of searching around and when we went along to see the venue we fell in love with it.
The people that showed us around were very helpful indeed.
I did all the flowers and table setting for my wedding with the help of some friends, and again the staff were brilliant. I stayed the night before the wedding and we had the most wonderful day.People are still talking about it now, and everyone says what a stunning venue.
The day was fantastic and memorable and the evening was just remarkable, with a magnificent performance by Hertfordshire band, The Bears.
Thank you to everyone involved.
Vicky
Great hotel, stayed in the suit, nice room and good restaurant
Hanbury Manor is a gorgeous traditional British Hotel and Country Club in Hertfordshire. It has vast grounds that are green and lush, a great golf course, big old trees and quaint court yards. It is a wonderful country hotel and worth a stay if you ever get a chance.
Good hotel, good location however, the service is certainly not 5 star.
Incredibly.... Staff welcoming and friendly! Spa therapist really hands on. And not to forget the afternoon tea. It's definitely worth every penny.
Attentive, friendly staff, good food and excellent facilities.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Spa very relaxing. Restaurant and breakfast very disappointing for a 4 star hotel.
We stayed here for one night away from London with our baby daughter and weren't disappointed, we had a lovely time. We stayed in a room with two double beds meaning we had lots of space and while the bedroom we had needed a bit of a More
It is a very nice place for family spending a weekend here .
Absolutely gorgeous place, good for functions and if you just want to get away for a weekend. Feels very cozy and warm. Highly recommended
Great location and venue for a wedding. Staff were very accomodating
So friendly and helpful. The gardens and golf coarse are so exhilarating and restful
Fantastic Hotel with all the amenities. Very comfortable beds.
This is really not a 5star hotel. The premises are nice, but the hotel is understuffed and the people are not properly trained. No concierge, no shop, no business centre. Service in general needs improvement. Have been served spaghetti without spoon etc. Marriot should do something about this since this hotel hurts their reputation.
Held an informal evening meeting here and the staff were brilliant at looking after us. Thank you!
Excellent place for golf weekend, staff very good , food good, nice course
Amazing afternoon tea, spare sandwiches did take quite a while we had finished the scone and half the cake before they came out
My third time back here for spa day, I love it. Only two tiny reasons it's not 5 stars for me...
The changing rooms were cold which is a bit uncomfortable for changing in.
And it's not got very clear signposts of where things are like steam room or restaurant etc.
I'd still go back for a 4th time though. The cleanliness, the food, the staff, the full body massage, the pool, everything was amazing!!
Lovely hotel great staff nice golf course excellent restaurant
The view is beautiful, but it is easy to get a routine when making a reservation. The room type article is too deep, and I don t pay attention to the routine.
This property is great, the service is wonderful and the grounds are amazing.
Beautiful building with fantastic facilities. The staff were very friendly too
Great location, staff, food and Spa. Romantic weekend or business. It's got you covered.
Beautiful scenery, just a few miles from.where I was working, good value for money, the building is amazing!
Beautiful place with excellent customer service. Samir was very welcoming!
Lovely hotel. Great food and really great staff. Fantastic grounds
Golf course was i very good condition despite the rain.....a very expensive breakfast was a bit average
Poor nights sleep, pipes and other noises. Just not worth the cost. Drinking and Internet cost way too much. Rude staff and just a little bit rubbish.
REALLY LOVELY, PRETTY, INTERESTING, CLEAN, EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS.
