Beautiful hotel and grounds however we booked the hotel to use the swimming pool and only got to use it once due to a booking system. The kids were very disappointed. Also no room service which was inconvenient with kids. The room was clean and provided disinfectant wipes. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned throughout our stay it wasn't done automatically.

I went there for a Valentine's afternoon tea and it was lovely. Service was excellent and the staff were really helpful. This is my 2nd time there for afternoon tea and I've always had a great experience. Highly recommended!

Booked afternoon tea for my wife s first mother s day far in advance requesting space for a pram. On arrival were shown to the dated, uninspiring conservatory where they dump anyone with children. Asked to move as the beautiful dining room was empty and was told all tables are already allocated (spaces remained for almost 2 hours until we left!). If you want to go with children and think you ll see the grand part of the hotel, think again.

Beautiful location for a hotel, but it too about 5 minutes walking around the hotel to reach our rooms and not because we got lost.
It's also too big to host events with appropriate security measures. The staff is not trained to face emergency at all!!! And unfortunately I had the experience and I could tell...
The bedrooms are not as cleaned as they should be if you consider the price.
However the dinner and the breakfast were very good.

We stayed for an evening between Christmas and New Year's and I was hugely impressed. The building itself is quite magnificent, and we really liked the festive decorations.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but what really stood out was the friendliness of the other guests, everyone seemed happy to be there, which is a credit to the hotel.

Our room was clean and tidy. I genuinely think we'll be back for another stay later this year, such was the quality of the hotel.

Efficiently run Hotel located in a secluded location. When driving for the first time parking for Guests rather mysterious. Follow signs to Reception & then Guest Parking is signed. Marryott management earlier signage would be very helpful.
Good breakfast & Dining options. Delightful & helpful staff.

What a charming property! We stayed just two night...

What a charming property! We stayed just two nights here for a little wind down from the busy cities we were touring through Europe. The property is over 300 years old in parts and has a good bit of history to it. Overall the rooms and public spaces are charming in design/decor, but maybe a bit tired and in need of refresh (carpets, curtains, furniture, etc.). The room we were in was huge, including the bathroom, and had a beautiful view of the golf course. The bed, while initially quite plush and comfy, was a little worn out after feeling after a night's sleep on it. We ate in Vardon's, which had good pub fare and kind service. I had the "top to toe" service in the spa, which was lovely. Marie is a very courteous therapist. We also had a chance to walk the grounds, which were beautiful. We met a member of their staff, Steve, several times around the property as he seemed to be quite a busy Jack of all trades. He was really friendly and had lots of tips about the property and area. We also peaked into the chapel and event spaces, which are beautiful and I imagine would make for a perfect wedding venue. If we are visiting this area again, I think it likely we will definitely stay at Hanbury.

Came to celebrate my daughters birthday. Booked the spa and afternoon tea package with mini facial and back massage. The spa itself is OK. Could do with an update. We arrived at 12.30 and were shown around. Staff were lovely. Advised that tea and coffee and fruit were available all day. The fruit consisted of apples only. From 2pm the pool got noisy with kids playing in it. The treatments were very good. Tea was a huge disappointment. Actually am still here. Staff are great and have taken feedback on board. I ordered vegan tea weeks in advance and the selection is actually pathetic. Sandwiches and scones pleasant although no vegan cream option. The tier was missing the advertised open sandwich. There are no cakes or pastries. I was given a milkshake, a sorbet, a fruit skewer and a puff pastry with fruit on it. So four fruit options, the sorbet too sweet for our taste and we didn't try the milkshake as looked more like a breakfast option. In these times with vegan options everywhere it is quite possibly the worst vegan tea I've been offered and I often eat tea out all over. There really isn't an excuse for not being able to prepare a small selection of vegan cakes. Hanbury Manor you really need to up your game. For our next spa day I think we will return to the nearby Sopwell House. Disappointed.

We went here for Sunday afternoon tea to celebrate my Grandmother's birthday.

Hanbury Manor is a lovely regal building and you can tell it has plenty of stories to tell. We sat in the lounge which is extremely old and full of character. In the Winter, the log fire is on, but obviously it was not needed in September.

The sandwiches were definitely fresh and not stale at all, very scrumptious. The scones were light and not stodgy at all. The tea cakes were lovely, there was even a mini trifle in a shot glass.

We were lucky as there was a singer, who sang lots of the classics and had a beautiful voice. Also, she sang Happy Birthday to my Grandmother, which was greatly appreciated. A special mention to the waitresses, who extremely professional and attentive.

Afterwards, we took a walk around the grounds as there is so much to see.
