This hotel was out of site. Friendly people and rooms were clean and breakfast was right on. The pool is not heated but very very nice place for our stay for Fort Jackson graduation.

It was like living in a Seinfeld episode - I reserved a King size bed, but they put me in a Queen. When I pointed this out to the staff, I was told "Sorry, there are no King beds available until tomorrow night." THINK ABOUT THAT - what is the purpose of a *reservation*????
Hotel was nice, felt very welcoming. The thermostat only went down to 68 degrees and the shower didn't get hot. The water was warm but not hot.
The shower was nice because it had anti slip in the tub part and it worked well. You also had several options on the shower head for different pressure/settings. The weird thing was the lack of cold water in the sink. Wasn't cold and even running it for a long time never changed that. It was kinda weird brushing my teeth and rinsing with warm water. Staff wasn't friendly but we checked in at 11:00 PM so we were tired and ready to get to our room. We would definitely stay again!
I didn't stay there, I just visited family staying there. I thought it was really nice and cool that the staff allowed our family to use the lobby and have a little pizza party for my kids and nephews.
I had an awesome time at this Hampton Inn! The coziness of the place was undeniable. Comfy beds, in room coffee, plenty on the TV, & great smelling soap in the bathroom even! Lots of outlets for charging devices too.
Of course the big kicker was the continental breakfast. Amazing fresh eggs and potatoes, a waffle maker and even fresh smoothies! I was blown away by the quality and and selection of the breakfast.
Truly a gem!
Bad: check-in was stressful, being asked marketing questions (what brings you to this hotel, etc) and when I asked to please check me in because of a stressful drive was told they are required to ask this. We stay at Hampton's everywhere, 3 previous nights on the road, and have never been asked intrusive questions. Please stop asking solo females checking in personal questions, just icky.
Also bad: toilet ran over 5 minutes with every flush. Room entry hall lights not working with switch. Shower/tub needs reno, 2 star quality.
Because of stressful driving we did not ask for a room change, also was told they were full occupancy.
Good: room had great soundproofing even though we were right next to lobby and windows faced the driveway hotel entrance. I requested a quiet room with reservation and was worried about room location but no problem.
This hotel is excellent. Great water pressure in the showers, comfortable beds, accommodating staff. Also very easy to find off of the highway for the directionally challenged among us. Thanks for a great stay!
Stopped overnight on travel. Hotel staff was great and rooms were very comfortable. Angela the GM wad very sweet. Definitely reccommend and will stay again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything is accessible. We had a king suite with a microwave, sink, and mini fridge. Our stay was nice and peaceful. Breakfast is available from 6am to 10am. My only problem is that on check out day, a cockroach ran past my foot by the bathroom door. Fortunately, I stomped on him so he shouldn't bother the next person who stays. Oh also, they are in the middle of renovations but we couldn't hear any construction at all! And we went to Kiawah Island County Park which is 2 hours from the hotel and it was beautiful and peaceful, parking there at the island was only 15$ and there was about 25 other people including the lifeguards there.
Everyone was very friendly and I didn't have any problems at all.
My stay was very nice. The room and hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The staff had complimentary items for travelers which came in handy. The beds were comfortable, and I felt safe being in the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel. Breakfast good, rooms clean. Location at busy intersection, a little hard to get to. Service exceptional.
Stayed for one night. Room was a king bed. Very clean room when I arrived. AC was rather noisy when sitting at the desk, but was able to keep the temperature at s comfortable level. Doorway to the room from the entry hall was a little tight due to furniture placement. Continental breakfast was a decent selection of both hot and cold food items.

The whole staff is amazing here. From the front desk ladies to the breakfast staff everyone went out of there way to make sure we were having a good time. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay for graduation.
What an amazing hotel stay at Hampton Inn in Columbia SC! I walked in dog tired after a long day on the road to not only find great customer service from the front desk, but the entire staff as well. My room was very nice and comfy and what I admire most...clean! That means a lot to someone who just drove 4 hours and needed to get some rest. If that wasn't enough...a delicious complementary breakfast was waiting for me in the morning which set me on my way back on the road. Fresh coffee and a great choice of options for everyone to choose. I was very impressed. Before breakfast, I got the pleasure of an amazing hot shower and amenities to help with ironing my shirt for the day. All in all, what a wonderful stay I had at Hampton Inn

I stayed at the Hampton Inn on Barbera rd in Columbia SC last weekend and my stay was very comfortable. I checked in very late at night and the front desk clerk was friendly and efficient which I appreciated greatly. My room was very clean and smelled nice. I was in a room with a king bed and a sleeper sofa. I was in the pull out mattress which was surprisingly comfy! I slept like a baby all night because the room temperature was perfect. The hotel is also in a nice quiet location with little to no road noise pollution, yet it's just a short drive from I-20. The breakfast bar and coffee bar is a perfect way to start your day. It's a step above the average continental breakfast fare. There is even a swimming pool which is perfect for cooking off in hot summer days. I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn to my friends and family
This place is a joke, room was dirty, the shower was disgusting, no wash clothes in the entire hotel, bag breakfast was a warm bottle of water and a granola bar. The worst place I have ever stayed and I stayed at some shady places in the New Mexico desert.
Good rooms and staff. However a car got broken into during my stay and the staff seemed to imply it's happened before. If you stay here park in the front lot visible from the street. (Staff suggestion)
Extremely friendly staff. But found a few roaches, and the bed/pillows were less than comfortable. It was sufficient, but not great.

We stayed here to get away from Hurricane Irma. The hotel was at capacity and the staff was amazing. The lady at the front (I think her name is Tonya) was so friendly and every time I walked by the front desk, she was working it. I'm not sure if she ever left! The breakfast area, although small, was definitely working overtime to make sure there was enough for everyone. We were also lucky enough to get a cot rolled in for our third child. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
It's always a pleasure service is excellent very clean and Personnel or pleasant as well this is why on our way to Florida we always stop here halfway between our destination five stars

The people working here are very nice. The bathroom looked a little worn but the rest of the room was great. Lots if outlets for our devices.
First night was great, in the morning however I found a crack pipe between the mattress and headboard. I reported it to the clerk and she said she d take care of the room for me but that evening I found out she didn t even put it in the notes nor did I get a refund. A different front desk service host did an excellent job rectifying the situation. Thanks Quinton for the good service.

The Hampton Inn in Columbia Northeast Fort Jackson was one of the best stays we have ever had. We are touring to country with our band and they were very friendly and let us check in early. The front desk person took my number and let me know when it was ready for us. The free breakfast was right on time for a touring band. Nice quiet stay and we'll be back. Thanks for a great stay.
The hotel is clean and the staff has been very nice, but our room has quite a few ladybugs in it. We called the front desk and they said all of their rooms have ladybugs. An exterminator would be welcome!

I ve been staying here for multiple years when I come to Fort Jackson. Booked my hotel thru the app and they showed the hotel had a cancel by 5pm with no charge however under new management at this site they will
not honor same day cancellations and offered me a one time free cancellation. Since I ve spend almost 70 nights in Hilton hotels this year this Hampton Inn WILL NOT get booked by me again.
This hotel has obviously suffered with the economy from the overblown response to a virus. If they don't make some changes, it won't recover like the 99.9% of the population that got sick!
Great place to stay at. Staff was super friendly. Large room, good bed. Breakfast was also super, considering standards of this hotel category. I will come back any time when I'm in this area.

Love Hampton Inns. The rooms are always clean and ready. The bathrooms are equipped with all the little bottles of stuff you may need. I am not a fan of big comforters and know that the closet will have a lighter blanket on the top shelf. The breakfast is included and is always excellent with lots of choices. There is usually someone on staff to refresh the breakfast food as the morning goes on. The pool is nice and clean. I like the consistence of Hampton Inns. I know what to expect.
I hope that it is in renovation it needs a facelift
When there to register for Quidditch world of cup everyone was nice and the building was lovely.
We always stay in the Columbia area when traveling by car from Erie to Orlando. This hotel was clean, the front desk attendants were engaging and courteous. Due to COVID we were given paper bag "breakfast" that included apple juice, crumb cake, and granola. It was quiet and comfortable!
Had a business meeting here and it was an ok meeting. During our break, the bathrooms were inadequate, but the room we had was quiet and worked well for what we needed.
Very nice receptionist. Young man, a gentleman and very knowledgeable. Have stayed here many times, always clean and comfortable with very good breakfast.
I only visited there for a conference but the conference room was very clean the bathrooms were very clean there was coffee as soon as you walk in in the lobby plus cookies you can imagine that's my favorite thing not only that but the lady that was at the front desk was a very sweet I know that some of the people that were staying at the hotel said the hotel room was amazing I hope this works for you
