The rooms and lobby have been refurbished recently and it was well done. Manager's reception at night is a let down as it only lasts an hour and the only drink option is water. The free breakfast is the standard hotel fare from the lower end Hampton or Holiday Inn chains. Staff is very pleasant and they even have a token hipster on desk duty at night.

Very hospitable staff. Clean rooms, convenient location to Columbia. I actually stayed in 3 different rooms over 3 days because I wasn't sure if I was leaving town each night but since I stayed I opted to book the same hotel. Breakfast was really tasty as well.

The room & bed was comfy & great. But, had problem with TV remote. Wouldn't function at all. Staff at desk simply put different batteries in it, still didn't work. No other action was taken. No coffee in the am. Even with the pandemic, something could have been discovered to provide at least coffee. Also no face rags, had to go to desk to get some because limited staff on duty. Poor, poor accommodations for a Hampton Inn.

This is a flagship Hampton Inn full of wonderful and courteous staff. Rooms were spacious and bed super comfy; hotel was in great repair as well. The included continental breakfast was excellent and had a long window of opportunity (we never make the ones that end at 9am). Great location right off of the highway with plenty of stores, shops, and restaurants in the surrounding location. Exercise room had great equipment and was open late. We really enjoyed this hotel and will be back next time we are in Columbia. Thanks for the great stay!

I stayed in this hotel last year was happy with cleanliness as well as the breakfast. This year upon arrival we pulled out the hide-a-way bed to find rice on it from the previous residents (not great attention to detail considering the situation with covid). The staff was great and offered to change the room. The next morning our only option for breakfast was a granola bar and yogurt. The icing on the cake was someone apparently tried to break into the truck as the passenger window has 5 cracks. The police were already on the property, taking a report, for another truck with the windows smashed in.

Hampton Inn never disappoints. Extremely clean rooms and linens. Friendly staff, strong WiFi and the great Hampton Inn amenities. The hotel is under renovation but it was still very quiet and pleasant.

My second time staying here and again, Hampton Inn Columbia Northeast Fort Jackson was a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is great. Comfy beds, spacious rooms and everything was immaculately clean. We stayed in a double queen room which was modern and comfortable. Bathrooms were spotless, and water was hot with plenty of pressure. They serve breakfast till 10am (much later than most places) and the selection is great. Waffles, eggs, sausage and fresh fruit just to name a few. Only wish I had time to use pool. Even better than the hotel was the staff. Everyone we interacted with or even passed in the hallway was friendly, helpful and courteous. Top notch hotel!

My experience at Hampton Inn was great. Four stars because I didn't get my welcome bag. They were slacking in that department. I was asked why I was staying only because she seen I was from SC. What does it matter. I do everything online these people need to get with the times. They have a new key system and you would think she would have wanted me to use that because I am sure people lose cards but since I didn't get my welcome bag and thank you for being a member, she didn't see it as important.

Nice, newer hotel. Luke warm water middle summer, tub not draining, watched clerk explain to guest "yes, I see you're a diamond member, did you still want the upgrade for a higher rate" (that's a quote). Then explain they ran out of water bottles the night before; sorry. No cookies, no coffee..just very different than most Hampton Inns. Nice hotel but will find somewhere else next time.

We had a wonderful experience here! The front desk was ready for our 2am arrival and therefore check-in was quick, easy and uneventful. All around the staff at this property were extremely friendly throughout our stay.

The most notable thing in my opinion here were the rooms themselves. We were instantly struck by how clean and well kept they were. This of course sounds like something one might expect by default when staying at a hotel, however this property seemed to have a little something extra to bring to the game in that regard. You can't beat this place for the price. Beyond that I must say the beds were incredibly comfortable and we got just the kind of sleep we needed after a long night of driving. In addition the rooms were equipped as advertised with microwave, mini-fridge, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker. Their free hot breakfast in the morning was fantastic as well before getting back on the road.

I've stayed at a number of Hilton properties over the years but not so many Hampton Inns. If this is where they are setting the bar for the Hampton brand then I'll make it a point to stay with them more often.

Me and my family stayed here on Aug 4th, the outside looks nice real kept up, we had double beds the queen beds are small but very comfy our toilet ran all night/day constantly and when flush it would flush slow breakfast was horrible I would not stay here again!!!

I stayed in the hampton inn in NE Ft Jackson for 3 days. The manager on duty that weekend was amazing and very friendly. Soon as you walk in they have hot, fresh cookies waiting. Our room was clean and cozy. We asked for extra towels and pillows. They were delivered within minutes. This hotel also provides a hot breakfast in the morning with a nice selection of items. (Waffles, eggs, fruits, juices and coffee) The hotel is within minutes of a mall, grocery store, a comedy club and numerous restaurants. KiKis Chicken and Waffles would be my recommendation. Parking is also free. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It will be my hotel of choice next time Im in Columbia, SC

5 Stars for Hampton Inn. Let me tell you, I've stayed in a lot of bad hotels, this was not one of them. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was top notch (multiple waffle flavors, coffee bar, and smoothies!), and the bed was heavenly. I felt like a a baby kangaroo nestling into its momma's pouch when I got in the bed. The thread count must've been through the roof. And a room with a view.

Bed was comfortable that's about all the good I can say. The breakfast was so crowded with literally no food. Out of almost everything with no seating. Who ever thought this layout would be acceptable? Staff was not very friendly as well. I will never stay at a Hampton inn, ever....

This hotel was a 4 star up until we discovered we brought bed bugs back home with us! Contacted management and very little empathy or apologetic, she only suggested I contact Expedia for my refund. I had never mentioned a refund but I assumed that was her end resolve. Unfortunately for my family and I, that was not my end resolve. I now need to steam clean my carpet and hire pest control so that we feel comfortable when we re sleeping!

I have not stayed here yet, but I wanted to compliment the front desk. We had to cancel our trip because my traveling companion got very sick, and it was close to the cancel date. Tonya & Kaneisha were so kind and understanding and professional.

Our client LOVED this hotel. The location is amazing, and the rooms are fantastic!! It is close enough to the city to not be a hassle to commute to, but still far enough away that it is quiet. Used needle near the foot of the bed sheets smelled like hadn't been washed in awhile mold on the muffins for breakfast but all in all the place was exactly what you would expect. A hotel that doesnt really get any business till the holidays then tries to compensate by jacking up the prices. I really didn't mind the stay but if your gonna jack up the prices Jack up the quality to.

Very nice hotel. Up to date and clean throughout. Better than average at a reasonable price.

The breakfast was good. The lady in charge of it kept it clean, stocked and was very personable.
Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

If you make a reservation MAKE SURE you call back to confirm you have your rooms. The desk clerk I made reservations with took my card information and everything. Some months later I then decided to call to confirm I have a room. THE DESK NEXT DESK CLERK SAID I HAD NO RESERVATIONS :( so I asked to speak to the general manger "Angelia Emerson" which made things worse. :( she just didn't have the time to look into the matter then she got VERY RUDE. So I *the costumer* asked her for her name to report to corporate. She then spell out her name and added," It's Angelia Emerson, with one "m" make sure you write it right" then she rudely hung up on me. This the first time I ever had a problem with Hampton inn ever. I am highly dissatisfied

I booked based on the star rating however the reviews have absolutely got to be lies or created by Hampton Inn or Hilton. I travel more nights away from home than I am in my own bed and I was absolutely disgusted by this hotel. We were here for my daughters birthday and travelled a few hours to get here with some friends. We arrived at 350pm,check in is anytime after 3pm. No room was ready but we are told it will be 216 & 218 434 pm I ask how much longer and we will have to wait. Then we are given rooms 317 and 319. We go up and both of these rooms are completely dirty. No where near even being cleaned. I asked the woman at the counter for my money back just to find another hotel and she said,oh I've already moved you down the hall. We get down the hall to a room where I know for a fact was not cleaned. We all wore shower shoes, got disinfectant spray out of the car and were uncomfortable because the room was absolutely disgusting. I do not know if this hotel is affiliated with Hilton to help their sales or if Hilton owns the hotel but this hotel should not be associated with anything Hilton. The only reason we didn't leave is because we had a schedule to keep that night and it was only one night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a timely check in, a clean room, or a comfortable night sleep because how can you be comfortable in a dirty room?
Management has said they are working on making improvements with staff based on other complaints but where are the improvements? Or are those responses just automated?

I absolutely LOVED this hotel. Fresh clean smell. Friendly and helpful staff! Our room was immaculate! I couldn't find a single issue. The beds had bright white sheets and comforter. The pillows were fluffy and Fresh! I slept the entire night and didn't wake up even once! The continental breakfast the next morning was heaven! If I were traveling in that area again I would definitely stay here and refer friends! If I could give more then 5 stars I would!

Very clean, friendly staff, awesome breakfast , its located around a lot of restaurants and shopping centers. The house keeping are not as loud as most places. Beds are very comfortable I actually laid across mine at 5pm and passed out I slept until 5:30am. Woke up with no back pain at all.

Hampton Inn did a great job with my Columbia stay.

Akita handled my super-late check in efficiently, and she was very friendly.

The room was spacious, and well outfitted. There were plenty of of the basics, towels, washcloths, etc. Hampton's serious about helping guests power the different devices people travel with (phones, tablets, notebooks, etc.), they provided a dedicated power center for the nightstand.

Great breakfast with a handful of hot items (eggs, sausage, and french toast sticks), plus waffles you can cook to order.

Great job!

Clean, new carpet in hallways and rooms. Bathroom had a nice high shower head and curtain. Breakfast area very well maintained with pleasant hardworking staff
Pretty outdoor pool.
The extra deep mattress was higher than the nightstand that was jammed next to it which made it impossible to pull bedding all the way on.
The sheet did not fit over it nor did the mattress cover. The matress sunk in middle of bed and both sheet and mattress cover kept popping off during night. The 3 pillows we're of poor quality too.Its clean, nice place but don't count on a good night sleep.

We are here for a soccer tournament and will probably not stay here next time. They oversold big time and some of our teammates had to stay next door at the best western. We needed a few extra towels & wanted to request a later check out but there has not been anyone at the front desk for over two hours. A sold out hotel with no one at the front desk? Breakfast is a joke. I get that Covid is changing things, but there is literally a sign on the bathrooms downstairs and the guest laundry that says they are closed due to Covid.

Awesome staff. They are currently under renovations so the parking lot was littered with equipment on one of the busiest days of the year. The manager and a front desk clerk actually went out in the rain to give up their parking spots to guests that couldn't find parking while checking in.

I stayed here on March 27th. For starters, my room was very dirty. Hair on the comforters. Hair on the bathroom floors. The bathroom floor under the vanity probably hadn t been cleaned in a good month. There was an empty condom box in my room. Second, this hotel looks nothing like it does in the pictures! Very disappointed because I try to stay in Hilton Hotels everywhere.

The hotel is minutes from downtown Columbia and while undergoing exterior renovations, they have managed to keep any incovienence at a minimum. Rooms are clean and we'll kept as is the lobby and hallways. The breakfast area is cozy and inviting and Hampton"s free breakfast is a few steps above other hotels. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Once again, Hampton Inn fails,to disappoint!
