Hampton Inn Historic District- Downtown Columbia, SC Review

The rooms were fantastic and the complementary breakfast in the morning really hit the spot.

Good location, comfy beds, one grumpy concierge but the rest are kind

It's affordable, and the location is amazing if you want to go out on the town. There's no bar/restaurant, but the staff is great and helped me out when i was wasted. The elevator is slow af, but if you've got business downtown you probably saved a lot of time in the long run.

Overall, we had a nice time here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent as always. I'm spoiled by Hampton Inns. Clean rooms, good breakfast, fitness center, friendly staff, and really comfy beds. All for a reasonable price.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Columbia Downtown the other night. I attended a rehearsal dinner for a wedding in West Columbia. The bride, bridesmaids, groom, and groomsmen all stayed at the Hampton Inn after the rehearsal dinner. The rooms were lovely and spacious. Ours had two large beds each, fitting four comfortably, and a large flat screen television and spacious bathroom. We spent a lot of time that night by the outdoor pool, which was lovely in the South Carolina heat. The stay was comfortable and cozy, and I'd recommend staying there again.

Good location right in downtown near lots of restaurants. Pretty typical Hampton inn, nice overall.

Thin walls can hear conversations. Lost hot water for two days. NO place to wash clothes. Toilet running constantly.

My shower is somebody's attempt to please everyone with more levers and accessories than can fit in one bath. Unfortunately this also comes with random water leaks rinsing down everything in range. I most definitely recommend this place and will change my review to 5 stars if the plumbing is better next time I visit!

Very clean hotel centrally located in downtown Columbia. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

I stayed in this lovely hotel on 4th of July weekend. It has a city feel clean great city views. The staff is welcoming and takes great pride in their appearance. Best breakfast bar ever... fresh pressed juice.

Nice hotel conveniently located in the middle of the historic district. Just like all other Hampton Inns, they offer a complimentary breakfast. The rooms are nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The room they upgraded us to was nice. Had a shower and Jacuzzi tub for 2. The biggest down fall was the ceiling in the room looks like it had some prior water damage and was not repaired by a pro. The tile shower had what looked like black mold on some of the grout. Other then that it was really nice for down town Columbia,SC. Since i have lived there for 31 years and recently moved. It was nice to come back and stay down town for once. The hotel is with in walking distance to all the popular restaurants and hang out spots.

Here's the deal... The location is great and in the Vista it used to be the only game in town. But with a brand new Aloft , Hiton and Hyatt House within a block and a half radius, this place is looking pretty long in the tooth and some upgrades are needed. It's dingy, things are broken and the staff is slack. Was it it a decent place to lay your head for the night? Sure. But was it stellar? Not at all. I did feel safe as the front door does require your key for entry and it's got a convenient parking lot. There was mold in our Jacuzzi bathtub and as fate would have it, DHEC was there the next day and they heard all about it. Mold is really not acceptable and if you can't control it, don't offer that type of tub.

Average Hampton Inn, clean and well maintained. Staff not really welcoming, treadmills out of service.

Elegant and affordable, with comfortable beds and high quality amenities. Hot breakfast is worth waking up for.

Nice hotel but I went to the reasturaunt down stairs and I got an apatizer and I had chicken tenders with frier HUGE but after I ate I had a bad stomach ake owe I will never eat it again do not eat it eat at own risk

Would 100% recommend. Prime spot right in the middle of the Vista, secure, rooms very clean and cozy and staff are accommodating
