Hampton Inn and Suites Scottsboro Alabama Review

The venue was not well maintained and was not up to the standards of the Hampton inn

I went for a Mary kay event. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Immediately welcomed and received two bottles of water. Room was nice, clean and quiet. Complementary breakfast and free wi-fi. However, the only issue is that my cell phone wouldn't get signal (Sprint). My colleague had a different provider with no issues. Nothing wrong with hotel but couldn't get signal in room or lobby which could cause major issues. That may prevent me coming back here next time.

Had a terrible stay. The GM of this place, Debra Luke, is nuts. Don't feel safe staying here anymore. Don't feel safe complaining more either, but people need to know to stay away!

It's a very decent hotel. Negative to it is that it's hard to find with a GPS type device (address in my GPS didn't help). If you see Wal-Mart, it's to the right of it. Few places around to eat, but they have a decent breakfast. As for the room, very clean and neat. Staff was helpful. Could not find anything to complain about, and used it for two nights.

I do have an issue with the lower hooks on the door. I understand the need for them, but I hope they can change the sharpness. I have a bruise on both arms because of them.

Typical Hampton Inn which is a good thing. Nice sleep and good complimentary breakfast all for 10,000 Hilton Honors points.

I want to make sure we give credit where credit is due. The ENTIRE staff at Hampton Inn & Suites in Scottsboro, AL was absolutely outstanding during our stay. Unfortunately, our stay was an unforeseen occasion, however, the crew was very accommodating. This includes the office staff, front desk, kitchen, and housekeeping. Thank you very much, your hospitality was appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A good, clean hotel. Be warned though that breakfast isn't always stocked well, particularly if there is a fishing tournament with a lot of early-rising fishermen getting up, eating, and getting out.

Also, if you call the hotel directly to make a reservation, be very careful to verify that you are actually speaking with the hotel. Twice now they've switched us to some third party provider, the second time we caught it and hung up and called back using the same number.

Very nice though tricky to get to.. go through Home Depot parking lot. Very nice rooms. Restaurants near, though you'll need to drive.

Had to wait at front desk to be checked in..He did apologize for me having to wait but his personality was something to be desired was not friendly at all!!! Never made eye contact with me at all. Poor people skills to say the least. I would recommend some HR courses for this employee!!! I have stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns and this is the first time I have experienced this type of personality working the Front Desk...No place for him here.

Very nice place. My husband was here in business. I hung around the hotel doing stuff I didn't have time to do at home.

Wonderful staff, great experience. We were in the area for a funeral (my grandmother's) and the staff were wonderful, beds were great, and cookies made me fat!!! .. They let us get ice for our coolers to have water at the cemetery and had no problem letting us stay an extra night.. It was southern hospitality at its best...

Barbara served a great breakfast and the room was clean and quiet.

Nice place. Tubs could've been cleaner. Overall a nice place to get away from home and one step closer to Walmart!

If you re looking for this place it s confusing - turn at Home Depot, not Wal*Mart.
As for the hotel itself, it s awesome. Clean hotel, no hassle, wonderful breakfast with excellent staff.

Stayed overnight at this location on the 16th. Other than complications actually finding our way into the parking lot (Hint, just cut through Home Depot's parking lot if you get confused) everything was excellent.
Evening front desk guy was super friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Lobby was decorated so cute for Xmas. Breakfast was decent quality and fresh. Definitely looking forward to our next stay.

Nice hotel. In town for a wedding. Host family had a small concierge room set aside for our socializing. Hotel staff was considerate of our Do Not Disturb door tag. Front desk was cheerful on the few times we got to interact.
The Google maps route to this place is WRONG! (It will get you there, but they take you behind Home Depot which is sometimes blocked with deliveries.) The correct route is in the photo. Stay on Micah Way, turn at the Mexican Restaurant. (Theres Hampton signage here too)

Overall a pretty good stay. The room was clean and the front desk staff were helpful. Unfortunately the beds were very hard. Over a 2 day stay, the first breakfast was exceptional in both quality and variety, not your average HAMPTON Inn continental breakfast . The second breakfast was abysmal: no meat on the buffet (apparently they had too many guests Saturday and couldn t walk across the parking lot to Walmart and get some more bacon), the breakfast attendant had long nails with nail polish and rings on (not good service appropriate or sanitary) and breakfast is served 6am-10am but we came down and 8:30 (!!) and the attendant was packing the food away while guests were still trying to eat. The front desk staff were notified and only made excuses for the breakfast food and attendant.

If we had only stayed one night, this would have been a very positive experience if the staff had not HORRIBLY mucked up the morning of 12/30/19.

Don't listen to any of the bad feedback listed for this hotel. I have stayed at this Hampton Inn for work many times over the course of three and half years and there were never any issues. The breakfast staff treated us great; even opening earlier than they were scheduled since we had to be at work by 6:00 a.m. Very nice people and one of the best Hampton locations I've ever been to.

We enjoyed it so much. Everyone was so nice and helpful . They have transportation to downtown which is wonderful. They have dine-in if you don't want to go out after a long day. You can walk to the stadium or downtown. Great place.

The pool and rooms was clean and staff was very friendly

Vanessa that checked us all in are rooms was amazing. She made sure we all had what we needed and told us where the coffee, snacks, and everything we needed to make us feel like her family. Thank you Vanessa for everything during are time of sorrow. If I ever come back this way again I will use this hotel again. God sent us a little angel to watch over us and help us through this.

It's very nice place. Friendly staff and clean rooms make for a pleasant stay. The only com was that the drive was hard to find. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent and hard to find entrance walking distance of each other. Hampton and Wall Mart

The room is clean and comfortable. The only issue is the location of the hotel is a little bit hard to find. Google maps don't have the exact way to the hotel. After you get out of the high way, you have to find the way to the hotel by yourself.

Clean rooms, great location. A bit off the main road so no noise from the outside.

I cannot believe it, I am a gold member since long time and they charged me for a couple of water bottles during my 8 nights stay there , I am going to complain to the Corp.

I generally consider Hampton the best of the non-full service hotel brands. This Hampton is up to the Hampton standard in every regard, and certainly the best hotel between Chattanooga and Huntsville along the HW 72 corridor.

This was the worst stay at a hotel that I've ever had. The lady at the counter was rude and unfriendly checked in other customers even though I was standing there waiting to get my room. Then I called down for a wake up call for 3:45 and she repeated it back to me and I got the call starting at 3:10 definitely wasn't pleased about it. I would not recommended hotel to anyone.

Was there for a social function and the staff was awesome and the rooms that we used were great. Would go back again.

Modern decor, quite, but not the easiest to find right away

Very nice place. Wonderful jacuzzi tub and very comfortable bed and seating area. Good breakfast too. I really recommend this place.
