Not worth 5 * - one-time experience

Not worth 5 * - one-time experience
- The hotel was good (parking is expensive)
- the wellness area was absolutely not maintained and actually dirty, and was itself partially closed at 8 am (while opening times are indicated from 7 am to 10 pm),
- the restaurant was top notch in terms of food, but was disappointing in terms of service - not very friendly and quite chaotic - we had to choose wine before we got to see the menu, the explanation of the dishes was very different per table, The youngest "server" (probably internship or something) was by far the most professional (he deserves a compliment)!

Not 5 stars. Communication in restaurant bad. Wine only comes halfway through the dishes or we have to ask for it. Staff does not seem to interact. The same dish is described differently per table?

Rooms neat but very noisy.

Breakfast in a small area with tables close together. Staff is lagging behind. Breakfast buffet sufficient, but nothing more. You have to wait a long time for an egg dish and have not received your second cup of coffee after half an hour.

Not to be repeated.

To be honest, this is not a professional company, you are taken down for a small mistake. I got a wrong booking which I made clear that it was not taken down. They also ruined my surprise for my husband !! I never forget that. Each time I also kept getting different staff on the phone. Which I had to tell my story over and over again. Then I get a call from the manager who was angry. Well no money back or while other option so NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

We arrived with expectations of a 5 star hotel and are disappointed. The hallways are worn out. The room was nicely decorated, but not really clean (minibar). The mattresses extremely soft. Hotel and breakfast area are located in two different buildings that are not connected. The breakfast is decent, the selection rather small. It is refilled sporadically. There is enough staff, but very changeable in their helpfulness and reliability. The SPA area is nice inside, outside (and there are saunas) very (!) Neglected. Dinner in the restaurant is good.
In total: We came to a 5 star hotel with expectations. The hotel doesn't do it justice. In my opinion, the hotel is well advised to market itself as a 4 star hotel.

Booked one night through the hotel including breakfast and 4 course dinner. Upon arrival we were told that we were upgraded to the presedential suite; the largest room in the hotel. This was of course great and certainly the private terrace was well received. The staff was very welcoming and the facilities were good. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent and we also had a good time at the spa. All in all, a great stay. In combination with the 4-course dinner definitely recommended.

A fantastic, quiet hotel, friendly people, very good facilities. Everything in the room has been thought of. A very nice and luxurious stay. I can't think of any negatives. We wanted to stay longer. Tom from Amersfoort

As first time visitors to restaurant Savarin, we enjoyed a 5-course set menu at which we added half a lobster to. The dishes were all inspired by or based on the French cuisine (read: refined). Although the quality of the ingredients was very good, most dishes were somewhat out of balance; the chef clearly has a thing for acidic food. The service was ok. Clearly, everyone serving the tables is passionate about their job. However, they were constantly running around (understaffed?), which impacted their attentiveness. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I doubt whether I will come back.

Quiet Wellenss with a good glory in the water, but wonderfully able to relax for a moment, but now I have had a terrible headache. Little is needed to be able to enjoy it, but when you unwind and are expensive and expensive.

nice sauna but unfortunately but choice of 2 saunas no shower gel at the cave shower opposite the steam bath or shower gels whose t cap does not work .. little pity. The shower buttons did not work either in the dressing area. furthermore temperature is too cold of the swimming pool and the relaxation area. the scrub salt is very nice. down. unfortunately there is a lack of pull to remove the water from shower people when you step out of the infrared you are almost under water and the fabric slippers you get then unfortunately get wet so you can no longer walk nicely on fabric wet slippers. soothing music is missing. but all in all a great clean resort hotel / spa. for the social deal price to do fine for the normal price I would go somewhere else.

The hotel room is very nice on the first view-but it solved wallpaper from the walls and overall it was quite dusty. The room service wanted to clean our room in the evening at 18 o'clock-we thought that no longer necessary! The journey is impossible without Navi - very hard to find !!! Where this 5 stars come from is incomprehensible to us - rather 3 stars.

Very unpleasant experience. Worst night ever. Beds smelly, extra bed was broken so I lay on the floor in the middle of the night. No one found at the reception. Powdered with a bottle of champagne and a box of bon bons. Savarin thanks 5 stars? Pick only 4 off.

Spa facilities were very brief. 2 saunas, a cold bath, a whirlpool and a so-called relaxation area outside, a steam bath, an infrared sauna and a shower downstairs and furthermore a large swimming pool (with a number of massage jets) and a small whirlpool. It was also a pity that between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. the ground floor with the infrared sauna and the steam bath was not accessible, because a certain treatment was given to customers there. That meant even fewer facilities to use. The lunch was very tasty. A pity that we had to wait a long time (almost half an hour) and that the half-full glass of orange juice were so expensive: 5.-! (and 3.50 for a coke). Nice to take a look, but I will not go here again.

The best thing about the whole hotel was the nice lady at breakfast, a little short gray hair, glasses. Also speaks German. She really does her job with passion and is super attentive and friendly!

Me and my girlfriend spent 3 nights at the hotel. ...

Me and my girlfriend spent 3 nights at the hotel. Of course, the prices are accordingly high within the framework of the standard. However, if you are self-catering this is absolutely no problem. The staff is great, super friendly and very helpful. To that, one must say that really every guest is treated with respect and their individual wishes. So we could totally undisturbed in the areas provided us with intoxicants intoxicating without being convicted or even "stupid turned on". The spa area is not very big, but it is still functional and has a certain charm due to its size. In the evening (between 20-23 o'clock) we had the whole spa area for us all alone. Gorgeous! The room was clean and very nicely decorated. The beds are great, I have never slept so well in a hotel. The only drawback that you have to mention is the distance to the city center. But even here there is a direct connection with the tram. I recommend anyone who wants to see The Hague, to put his car around the corner on the P + R parking lot. There you can pull for 6 a day ticket for 2 people. This allows the use of any public transport in The Hague. I had a wonderful time and can really recommend this hotel if you do not have any super huge expectations of the spa. I would go back anytime!

Very nice breakfast with live cooking!

Very nice breakfast with live cooking!
Very friendly and attentive staff. Hotel is easily accessible. Nice rooms with very good bed.
Beautiful wellness area with swimming pool, whirlpool, hot tub, steam bath and saunas. Sauna could be a bit warmer, but panoramic view was nice.
The only downside we could hear the footsteps in the hallway very well from our room.

- The hotel charges for on paid site parking which was not mentioned anywhere.
- The spa was dirty, supplies were not refilled, saunas all need a big cleanup, the steam cabine was even worse then the saunas.
- the rooms were alright however same issue, no shampoo, no body wash in the room i had to call them and ask them to fill it up.
- Overal service was decent, however many employees are unexperienced and unfit to think for themselves.
- I had forgotten a few items in my hotel room, such as my google chromecast and my charger, once i called the hotel to ask for these items they said they were simply not there, which is very odd for a 5 star hotel to steal the guests their items.

A very nice Hotel. You have to pay for it, but you get enough in return. Wellness both inside and outside incl. Slippers and bathrobe. Spacious rooms with two TVs, fitness indoor and an adjoining restaurant with a price tag, but more than worth every cent. Certainly service "with a capital S".

Since restaurant hotel & spa Savarin does not want...

Since restaurant hotel & spa Savarin does not want to respond to our previous complaint of two weeks ago, we do this this way.

On Sunday, March 8, we had a high tea with you.

Because there were few reservations, everyone was placed in the lobby. The two of us were crammed into a corner with a much too small table. Besides the inconveniences with the tight space, we were also very close to the people next to us. So we didn't feel comfortable at all, we almost got the feeling that we were not allowed to talk. I asked for a different spot, but that was not possible because everyone would be scattered and that is too much trouble. I think this is very special, since no attention is paid to the customer experience. To me it comes across as laziness. So we were not sitting at a decent table in a decent room. The food itself was not tasty, this is of course a personal opinion, but neither of us liked it. The salmon in the wrap was hard, while it should be soft and melt in the mouth. I think fish with a high tea is crazy and not suitable. The scones tasted too much like egg. The kind of frozen marshmalow tastes like a sponge. I didn't like cauliflower soup either. Actually, we skipped almost everything and returned with full plates. Only the sandwich with egg and truffle was tasty. In addition, I do not think it is possible that we get tea bags with a high tea, I would expect loose tea. The tea flavors are very standard. With a high tea it is nice to try different types of tea. All in all, very dissatisfied with the high tea. This was a birthday present to my girlfriend, a shame and SHAME!

The hotel definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars. The windows were stained, the staff, although friendly, but inattentive. In the room a menu shone right next to the pillow, which was so obtrusively bright that sleep was hindered. Spa - awful! There was no employee at the reception, the coats were handed to us by the cleaning lady, who of course could not give us any information. In the locker room was a hairbrush to "borrow", full of hair. We were given the wrong times at reception, the sauna was still cold when we came and it was also very small. The floor outside, in front of the sauna, was full of fallen leaves, the view extended to the hotel's parking lot, so you could be looked at naked. That's it for us with the sauna. The kitchen was very good. But that's not the only reason why I don't stay in a "spa hotel".

Hotel room very noisy, claimed that, no other options offered. Description for that room was nice view to the Garden. We could see a wall, a parking, the street and the tram. All very poor for a so called 5* Hotel

Checking in was a bit awkward and also breakfast and checking out gave the idea that they don't fully understand what business people think is important. But otherwise a great hotel with nice and quiet rooms.

Booked a day at the spa with friends through Social deal. Had a nice reception. The only thing I regretted was that the location is not properly indicated via google maps. You enter the address of the site, but you do not arrive at the destination. My other two friends have also experienced the same problem.

Disappointing experience. Hotel rewards itself with 5 stars, this is not an official rating. Indeed small and busy wellness. Would be perfect if this were reserved for hotel guests only. Restaurant Savarin is not worthy of a "JRE" restaurant. Far too expensive prices for everyday costs. There is no culinary experience here, the dishes presented had nothing in common with photos on the internet. The service was a disaster. After 15 minutes we were asked if we wanted something to drink, we had to ask for the menu, as well as the adapted wines with the menu (90 drink for 2 people, aperitif + 2 x adapted wines excluding 4-course menu).

Great 4 course dinner for a special occasion. Original dishes, very creative and non-standard. House wines did a good job of matching with them, not a special tasting menu chosen. It was a bit chilly outside in the evening and being dressed up was getting to cold. But when I asked to close the terrace doors, it was not a problem. Good service, could be a bit more personal and attentive.

Had a nice stay, you really feel welcome, hospitable. Why not 5 stars? At check out we only found out that parking costs 15 euros. This is not indicated anywhere. Check in is at 3 pm but if you want to book a spa treatment it is already full. My tip is to do this in advance.

Compared to the menu in the evening, the spa, the surroundings, the breakfast is really an anticlimax. No cook who makes your omelet and crepe (what a pancake was just a shame !!) But just the receptionist JAMMER! The breakfast is also fine, but if you sleep late, do it nicely and then have an extensive lunch (including fresh lobster)

Highly recommended in the current low season. Hardly anything going on, the spa area is almost alone. Breakfast good. Fitness center okay. Massages are very expensive and more of a cream. Prices for food very expensive. Ambience perfect. The wine cellar is a must.

Had a day at Spavarin. Had wonderful packing / scrub treatment. Water and floors are clean, clean / small restaurant for coffee / lunch. I personally found the temperature of the rooms a bit too low, just like the water in the swimming pool. In addition, not everything is equally clean in the treatment room (dirty light switches, broken clock). All in all, a wonderful day to relax

1 night, had a gourmet dinner. And we go for breakfast every moment, this hotel is great if you don't want to get out. Suppose you want to explore the neighborhood I recommend making your own transport available.
