I took my 2014 Chevy Equinox to this dealership on...

I took my 2014 Chevy Equinox to this dealership on Nov 27, 2019 because it was leaking oil and they didn't know where from. I was told that the engine needed to be rebuilt. Repairs were done and I got the vehicle back Feb 2020. On March 9, 2020 I had to have this same vehicle towed back to the dealership because it stopped running. I was informed on March 20th by Nate, service guy that my engine needed to be repaired, rebuilt or a new engine put in. I have been inconvenienced and without my vehicle for several months, I was not contacted again by Nate until June 10, 2020 and at that time I was told that I needed a new engine and the repair of my engine was no longer an option. I am not a mechanic and I am not knowledgeable in the field and if it is GM's policy that the issue is to be fixed right the 1st time, then why am I being told that I need to pay for a new engine. I did my part by bringing it to the so called experts at the dealership to have it fixed correctly and I am not pleased because when I expressed my concerns to the service guy, Nate, that I don't feel I should have to pay due to the fact that my truck only ran for 5 weeks and that I was quarantined due to testing positive for the Corona virus, he then told me that I would have to return the loaner vehicle and pick my vehicle up, disregarding the fact that I was at home quarantined due to the COVID-19. I didn't like the fact that he felt he could intimidate me because I was in a loaner vehicle they provided due to the negligence of this dealership and I am not pleased that I have been bringing my car to this dealership, spending money, wasting time. taking off of my job and for this dealership to not take any responsibility at all and just tell me that I need to pay for the repairs and not offer any assistance again for them not fixing it right the first time which is GM's policy.

Best buying experience ever! Scott Sodergren was thorough and professional as he worked to get me the best deal possible. The truck was prepped and ready for me to drive home, even though I had not committed to the purchase. But there was never any sales pressure. In the end, he made me an offer "I couldn't refuse."
TJ (finance) and Debbie (sales) added to the overall excellent experience I had in making this purchase. I would highly recommend this dealership and its staff to anyone buying a vehicle.

This place is great. They matched the price of a little corner shop for an engine replacement and gave is a brand new car as a rental while I wanted for the motor to be installed and as it was being installed. Everyone is really nice but now no one wants to call me back and give attitudes now that I have paid them for service.

Dan was our sales rep and he was friendly and listened to what we wanted and we ended up with exactly that. Our experience was great. My vehicle was there for over 2 weeks and went back for the same issue 12 hours later. Another two week wait and thousands of dollars later same issue within an hour of picking it up. The service dept. is very hard to contact, friendly in person but a pain to get updates from. I have been there waiting with other dissatisfied customers also.
I am currently documenting with my own scan tool the same issues I paid to get fixed and hope the dealerships management takes note of the case and responds accordingly by refunding the cost of unneeded repair work. I am not a sue happy type of person but I also don't enjoy wasting hard earned money and precious time.

I have been car shopping for a short period and came to the dealership to test drive a car. Brook came out and was immediately excited for me and helped me pick out a car that met my needs. Jim in finance was also extremely helpful and tossed out some better options than I had planned. They had my best interests in mind, not theirs, and I look forward to getting my new car in a couple of days. Came in for an oil change because my car was making noise (It had done this a few times before, and the dealerships I went to told me they found nothing and the oil change made the noise go away). This time they told me my timing chain may need to be replaced, and it would cost thousands of dollars, and gave me a card to a dealer to get a new car.

What they did NOT tell me, was that driving the car away without getting the timing chain fixed would DESTROY my engine and now cost me 6000 to repair instead of 1500. I would've gladly paid the 1500 for the timing chain, but now I need to replace the entire engine because I tried to drive home.

No warning, no disclaimer, just a card for someone who works there to buy a new car.

I stopped coming here a few years ago due to poor service and communication, and now I was reminded why I'll never come back.

The experience is bad:

1. I waited in the lounge room for shuttle to go back to my work place. After 1 hour, no one came to get me to shuttle. Then I went back to the service agent. He told me ' I saw the shuttle came back. No one got you to the shuttle? Did you stay in lounge room all time'. I was mad because I was in the lounge room all time. The service agent kind of rude to assume it is my fault.

2. I complained about shuttle service takes so long time, the service agent said 'the shuttle service is free without promise'. Actually I have been in other dealership and the shuttle service is actually much much faster than it.

There is another sentence from the service agent's mouth that I got mad about but I forgot what he said now. Anyway the service agent is rude. He didn't show any sense of apology for what has happened.

I finally recalled the third sentence the service agent said which drove me mad (actually he said this sentence before the other two sentences). When I came back to the agent and asked why the shuttle is so late, he said 'you are here only 15 or 20 minutes, right?'. He was hinting that my expectation on the shuttle service is unrealistic. Actually it has been more than 1 hour when I talked to him. He just had no sense of what is going on.

Shady dealer. I will only return if I absolutely have to (future warranty work, etc.). Here are two examples of my experience within the past few years.

A few years ago (2-3?), I had trouble with my power steering going out. I brought it in for service, and it was repaired to my satisfaction. Later, the car was recalled for that exact problem. I was able to submit a reimbursement request from GM. One portion of my reimbursement was rejected, so I appealed to Hamilton. "Oops, we charged you for that service by accident!" It was credited. Do you see my point? They charged me for unnecessary service, thinking I wouldn't catch them on it, but it came to light when GM reviewed it.

Well, just had my car in again for recall work. They included on my bill TWO services they did not provide. It was no charge to me, so I guess they figured I'd just ignore it/who cares? I assume they are going to get reimbursed from GM for this stuff, though.

There are other, less important things (call them during business hours & the phone just rings & rings; they don't return phone calls; stuff like that), but I'm sorry - to me, they revealed themselves as being shady, and they won't see any business from me again.

I was greeted immediately when I entered the dealership and the maintenance work on my vehicle started right away. I waited less than 30 minutes for a job that was estimated to take 60 minutes. Everyone was professional and friendly the entire time I was there.

Had a bad experience returning a lease at Hamilton Chevrolet. They refused to take our GM Equinox lease at the end of the term unless we leased directly through them. Customer service desk and manager both said the even though GM tells customers they can return cars there that it is their policy to not accept leases from another dealer. We left and went down the street to Buff Whelan (who our lease was also not originally from) and they treated us with respect and took our lease back with no questions asked. I would advise that if you have a GM car and didn t get it directly from them that you stay away because they only seem to care about their own vehicles and not the brand and company they are supposed to support.

Today my husband and I drove down from Lansing to help my son pick out a car. We went to Hamilton Chevy and they looked at a Chevy Cruze that he was interested in. There were no hold or sold tags on the vehicle. They talked to a salesman about the car and he didn t say the car had been sold. They decided to look around a bit, and came. Back to purchase the Cruze , they were told that it had already been sold on Monday. It is now Thursday. The salesman then tried to get my so. To purchase a more expensive car that he didn t want. He wouldn t deal on the purchase price. We went to a different Chevy dealer and purchased the same car a year newer for a better price. My son wondered if the first Cruze he saw at your dealership was a bait and switch car. No sold and wasn t out back.

My wife and I have purchased three cars from Scott. The first one in 2005 and two others when we needed new ones. Scott has always been more than just a salesman. Before, during and after the sale he has treated us as if we were the only ones who mattered. Always helpful, truthful and honest; doesn't try to sell us something we don't need or don't want. The highest praise I can give Scott is to recommend him to friends, which I have done often. I will continue to see Scott for all my future vehicle needs.

After being there for a few days on different repairs I see that they all get along and it seems like the employees genuinely enjoy their job. That means a lot to me as a customer. Definitely my first call for service on my GM products.

I had a beautiful BMW that I traded in for a Tahoe. Went in to this place and sure the sales persons are fine. They're accommodating and they'll give you a test drive. But! They will not work with you at all on trade ins. They really low balled me on the value and it was insulting. They obviously don't like to do deals very much bcz I wasn't impressed. I went to another dealership in Novi and they didn't insult me with a silly low price. I made the deal and paid cash for my new Tahoe LTZ. Maybe if you fight harder to win customers you wouldn't have lost me or my business.

Very disappointed! When I went to pick up my car after an oil change and tire rotation, the cashier lady says she has to have a conversation with my about what the mulit-point inspection came back with. She went over the report with me and the first thing she says is that I'm going to need tires soon....I proceed to tell her that a bunch of lies. I just put brand new Firestone tires on the car 3 months ago. They don't even have 1k miles on them yet. She then tells me that "Well it was just a visual check"....Then she proceeds to tell me that i need new wiper blades soon. I tell her "Well I just changed them 6 weeks ago, they work great. Finally she says that my cabin air filter is dirty and we need to be changed soon. I told her I just had it done at my last oil change. I dont know what scams/upcharges this dealership is trying to pull but this needs to be investigated.

Came in for simple oil change and to sync my TPMS sensors to the truck after changing out my winter tires. The service writer did the TPMS sensors in less than three minutes while I was standing there and the oil change was done in about an hour as promised. These guys do a good job!

What makes a dealership great is it's sales and service personnel. I could go to any Chevy dealership and get the vehicle I want. But I come to Hamilton because Jennine Bellman goes all out to make sure I have great service and makes sure I get exactly what I want in a vehicle. She is friendly, professional, and accomodating.

I would also like to say that I was very pleased to see the dealership was great at following safety protocals and protecting their employees and customers. This is not always the case in many businesses. I attribute that Hamilton carries the safety protocols from GM and 5-star rating's of their products into their business operations. Great job Hamilton!

Amazing experience! I was told by a tire dealership that I needed to have my ball joints replaced so I took my car to Hamilton Chevrolet for that work and an oil change. They told me that the ball joints were fine but did find some bad gaskets that they replaced under my extended warranty. Could not be happier or more satisfied!

My 2019 Chevy Cruze was part of a safety recall regarding missing bolts from a start-stop accumulator. I had a scheduled inspection appointment and was serviced reasonably soon, even though the service department had a rush of post-holiday customers. The service staff were very courteous and effective in processing the customers. My car passed the inspection without needing attention and was released within an hour. I am very pleased with the quality of service I received on this and previous occasions.

Service rep Kevin was great in getting my truck in quickly and, back to me after repair quickly, as well, later the same day as drop off. I was unable to get a loaner but, I was just very happy to get the vehicle in so fast
